  • @blimpy49 By all means, tell me what words I misused below. Your spelling surely dosen't [sic] make you sound smart or literate.

In any case, your statement that "there is no longer art" lacks any conceivable justification. There's tons of wonderful art being produced and countless composers writing equally wonderful music all around us, every day. I'm not sure what your essential argument is here.

  • @jwrappaport

we've now degenerated into polemics, so "justification" is meaningless, but it always is meaningless. What is art, aesthetics or "justification"? You, of course, refuse to ask questions as you are only concerned with confusing art with "inclusiveness" and depicting me as a bigot. By generalities I meant the above words and your replies, which are essentially empty innuendo - "wonderful music" or "wonderful art". These adjectives mean nothing.

  • 1:15

  • fantasia flashback. O.O

  • @xEmmaLOVESmusicx let Disney poison you perception of classical music with crap about faries and stupid things. Tchaikovsky was before Disney, so therefore he should get all the credit. Also, if you search it up,Walt Disney stole the idea of a talking mouse from someone else. This may seem like trolling, but Disney is almost as bad as Google in terms of copyright. Disney is evil.

  • Comment removed

  • @subway5dollarftlong seeing as im 15, i grew up with disney. so dont have a go, i saw fantasia when i was about 3

  • @subway5dollarftlong Whats wrong with Disney's visual representation of the song? The film it was in, Fantasia, is a visual representation of what the animators thought of when they heard the music. That's, in my opinion, what classical music should be about.

  • @subway5dollarftlong oh, and Mickey was created by Ub Iwerks for Disney in response to him (Walt Disney) being forced by contract to give up his original character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, to Universal Studios. At the time Mickey was conceived, FULLY synchronized audio was not invented yet for films. Partially synchronized shorts had been made but they weren't fully in sync. Thus, Mickey was the first "talking mouse" cartoon character.

  • I'm proud to be a flute player! XD

  • @ballerina1813

Well then, I've been dancing for 13 years ;) haha are you doing rad or vaganova? Or sth else? :)

  • Sweet waistcoast, man.

  • I am dancing to this song in pre pointe class! we are doing the nutcracker

  • here in Brazil, several years ago, this song was used in a toilet paper ad, i can't help remember everytime I listen XD

  • Things really shouldn't be posted on here unless saying something positive about the piece, or the composer...

  • omg he was so gay

  • @MrGrevy You try playing that...

  • @Whippodopolous What does that have to do with anything?

  • Ok, I absolutely love this piece, but not gonna lie -- I forgot I had this paused and the Nigel Thornberry Remix playing in another tab, looked at this tab again, and became quite scared for a moment.

  • @TomBombadil37 stfu

  • @DavidKolstad21 Why not share? I see no reason to stop anyone from listening to music. Everything is over censored as it is..

  • oh my god, he wrote this?! i've long since searched this song. i think i found a new favorite composer. =)

  • Beautiful!!!! It's like i'm in a meadow full of flowers and a rainbow with cute little fairies and butterflies!!! And a lake where the chocolates are being made (I'm a chocoholic) And The flowers are candies, the hills are ice creams, The end of the rainbow is a pot of gold chocolate coins.... Hmmm.. That's why i love listening to nutcracker it has my dream land...

  • i'm kind of offended that the people in these comments are discussing the RACE of tschaikovsky or which race classical music is meant for.

anyone can enjoy it. especially with such a great composer as tschaikovsky. you all should be ashamed of yourselves -.- cause this is true art. and art is for everyone.

    people suck ass.

  • @talkalot9021

that is an infinitely stupid comment. When it comes to "Art", race/origin means everything.

  • @blimpy49 race/origin factor into what makes the art, not who likes it.

  • @talkalot9021

for centuries, from before the Greeks until the early 20th century, the artists have been the manifestation of their people's essence. That is why Modern art is so depressive and cynical, and that is also why there is no longer art.

  • @blimpy49 And what does that have to do with people liking a certain type of art?

    Nothing.

Just because it's made for a certain people during a certain time, doesn't mean that others cannot like it.

I think you have an altered view of what art is and what it's for.

  • @talkalot9021

sure, anyone can like anything and this is in fact beneficial for the world. Excuse me for hurting your bourgeois sensibility.

  • @blimpy49, THANK YOU! Finally I meet somebody who agrees with me!

  • @talkalot9021 Welcome to the internet where dumbasses congregate like flies on shit.

  • its fun to hear this song and read the comments ! lol cracks me up every time ...btw the composer of this song is russian yes who happens to be a caucasion yes but in the end who cares black white hispanic asian whats it matter ! is the music itself good and pleasing to the ears ? yes then listen if not then dont ...im just sayin it does not matter what race the composer is only if the music is good or shit all races make beautiful and horrible music and we can bump what we like wherever we like

  • its fun to hear this song and read the comments ! lol cracks me up every time ...

  • Ayyy, que boooniiitaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

  • 15 people got their Nuts cracked...

  • @BLCtv1900 jajajajajaja good one

  • @BLCtv1900 LOOOOOL!

  • @BLCtv1900 you sir are brilliant

  • @BLCtv1900 or they should get their nuts cracked

  • Kinda of a "Oh yea...this song" song. Great song none the less

  • Call it racist if you must but I don't EVER remember hearing some black driving by with Tchaikovsky going full blast......mostly it's rap that you can hear two blocks away. I'd be astonished to hear Verdi or Rimsky-Korsakov or even Julius Fucik. Maybe one out of a million. maybe.

  • @SpeedyNeutrino43 Just because you don't hear it doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I do it frequently. Classical music is one of the stations on the radio in my car and I also have a pure classical music playlist on my ipod. And I'm of brown skin as well.

  • Its actually quite comical how you people are able to milk an aggressive argument out of ballet music ...

  • this is what is awesome about this nomatter what language you speak anyone can understand this language of MUSIC!!

  • i was addicted to the nutcracker book when i was young i'd read it over and over agian...i loved the ending the most...

  • @florentinaisli i did too! i love the play and some of the movies =D

  • can anything bring you back to childhood like Tchaikovsky can?

  • who cares witch race came up whit the fucking music as long as its good to listen to

  • <3

  • I can pay this on my flute!!!!!!!!! yayayyayayayay

  • i hate it when people say that they can play certain classical pieces..

SO CAN EVERYONE ELSE. stop bragging.

all we need to comment on is how beautiful tchaikovksy's compositions are. nothing more.

  • @IVIusic Yes, but can they create such a piece?

  • @IVIusic

    That's rather narrow minded.

I think if someone feels like they want to comment on this video, they should certainly do it, regardless what they say. It keeps the comment section interesting to read.

If it bothers you, just don't go through the comments. If anything, it's awsome that people are keeping this music alive.

  • @IVIusic Those comments are as common as the typical kid saying "I`m only 14 but I love classic Rock" damn i feel that I don´t wanna live anymore when i read those.

  • I used to play the main flute part at my orquesta some years ago....

    Awww, the memories....

  • htis music triggers my imagination

  • I play this in my orchestra!!!! (I play the violin)

  • mgm

  • this song is gorgeous

  • This song saw the world enter the Atomic Age during the Trinity Test.

  • Il est extraordinaire. Quel chef d'œuvre !

  • улет

  • another brilliant gay man like oscar wilde

  • Tchaikovsky is one of my favourite classical composer, my favourite is 'Dance of the Sugarplum fairy' and 'The Russian Dance'(heard in Home Alone =P) both from the Nutcracker.

And @stepheng1483 it's called 'stereotyping' when people say only white people listen to classical and only black people like rap, it's complete rubbish, I like some 'old school' rap as much as alot of black people and I'm sure alot of black people etc love classical, well said =/

  • @Johny40Se7en I never said only white people listen to classical, I said white people created this type of music.

  • @stepheng1483 O wow you're that fucker who was trollin that mozart video. Get the hell out of youtube.

  • @stepheng1483 trlolol just enjoy the music go be a fag somewhere else. :D

  • Prekrasno !! Neopisyemo !! Bellissimo !!

  • Music is like History it comes in different eras. Baroque Romantic Classical and Modern Classical. Then you have R and Blues Pop and so on. Some of us like visiting people who sadly are not with us any more but we can identify with there music. CGSNI

  • honestly this has nothing to do with race. music is a universal language.

same with song and dance. look at some traditional chinese or even traditional japanese music and you will see the same passion and emotion in their music as well.

there is no denying that this piece is a work of art. but to say that is the white mans music is just discriminating and wrong. look at yundi playing chopin. this is a perfect example of other races playing and enjoying great music pieces from the masters @ work

  • its funny how this russian song is being played at almost all Christmas parties.

  • @RusBodybuilder thats not that funny

  • So what, I as a white European can only listen to "white music"? And black people can only enjoy jazz and other types of originally black music? That´s completely ridiculous, keep classifying music, meanwhile the rest will keep enjoying it no matter who wrote it or who plays it.

  • REN AND STIMPY

  • @Theguywhoneversleeps

  • Christmas is here :D

  • the name would be March of the Sugar Plum Fairies

  • @stophatinlol135 Um, no it wouldn't. These aren't the sugar plum fairies, its generally concieved a some sor tof shepherdesses or sometimes as martzipan, but the sugar plum fairy is later- she is the finally and her first piece is often referred to as pout de deux because it is such, as two people dance it. Her later song is the very well recognized dance of the sugar plum fairy, which is the last song before the finale

  • Damn! I'ma blow 'ma Alpines and start blastin' the shit out of this jam! Somethin' these gangstas never heard of! :)

  • dude this song is for christmas in its best fitting in time, otherwise this song is weird, pretty much is i like it though.
