It's disgusting how the Democratic party has become a pimp to secure the "woman" vote, the "black" vote and the "poor people" vote. Meanwhile, neither of the two remaining candidates will help either women, minorities or poor people once in power. Mike Gravel will. Mike Gravel was the one they shut out first!
Sorry to say guys. I don't think Gravel can pull it off. Yes, he may be a nice guy and all. But, he picked a pretty bad time to run. I'm voting for Barack Obama. He seems like the best person for the country right now. Vote Obama!
Well what can i say, im not voting for you, but im glad theres people like you in politics at least we can hear the truth and maybe some day we'll be able to do something with it.
It looks like anyone who says anything nice about Mike gets a negative, but if you say something positive about Ron Paul you get a plus. Gee, looks like you all are working overtime. I believe that Ron Paul is the best on the Republican side, but Mike Gravel is the BEST choice on either side. Gravel in '08!
Go figure smh2224. Over 10 to 1, Paul to Gravel. Guess you're kind of outnumbered -- and surrounded. Apparently, there are a lot of people that disagree with Mr. Gravel's point of view here on Youtube. So stop being a crybaby, see the error in your misguided ways, discover why so many people think differently than you, and then join the Ron Paul r3VOLution!
The Paul campaign doesn't need to hire bots. We have the grassroots (you know, real people), and they apparently don't like the Gravel message very much, preferring the Paul message over 10 to 1. So quit attempting to make excuses for the Gravel campaign's -- how shall we say? -- lackluster performance.
But Mike doesn't really have a voice in the Democratic party. He will have a voice, alongside R. Nader, as an independent, something the powerful Ron Paul is afraid to do.
Listen, I don't support Paul, but that's a hypocritical statement.
The Republican uses that line about Misguided ways to Paul a bit, I'm sure. Keep in mind, lovely, Ron isn't running against Mike yet, or probably ever.
Mike will not get the D nomination, and Ron will not get the R nomination, this I know. But Mike won't give up after that. Ron has publicly said that he will.
Yes, that's what I said PoliticalAnalysis: "misguided" and it's not hypocritical at all. Ron is unique in that he's the only anti-neo-conservative in the race and doesn't support the existing Republican Party platform -- which is a neo-con one.
And glad you're so good at predicting the future PoliticalAnalysis. Paul has said he will continue to run as long as he has the support of the grassroots, which he continues to maintain.
Then why try and convert Democratic Gravel supporters?
We're not Republicans here, in case you forgot, and there's a reason some people are supporting Mike. You won't convert Gravel democrats to paul because we support gay marriage and support abortion rights, nationally.
I'm a Democrat. And I make a very thoughtful, deliberate and unique exception to my rule of voting for a Presidential Democrat in THIS election -- especially of the Clinton-Obama variety. This is an anti-establishment vote: an anti-war, anti-Federal Gov't largesse, anti-slavery vote.
And we need an economic expert at the helm, a doctor, that thinks like a doctor and seeks to know the underlyiing causes of disease to cure it, rather than prolonging the misery with the various witch-doctor like "treatments" that are currently being offered. We're on a sinking ship, you can see it by the bread and circus going on all around us -- and it's high time for some REAL intervention.
He has a bachelor's degree in Economics, not a Ph.D. So he's not an Economist. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics -- and it's ancient knowledge.
More disinformation and propaganda. Paul is a recognized expert on the Hill in monetary policy and economic policy frequently (and singularly) confronting the Federal Reserve on their stranglehold over our economy.
As far as ending the war in Iraq, he's done everything in his power to not only stop it, but to prevent it prior to its inception. You must remember, he's been one of a few very lonely voices in the 435-member House who's vocally opposed the war.
Well, it's good that you support Ron Paul. If you registered R to vote for Ron, I congratulate you, you're one of the few Paullites to follow through.
Do us a favor, though, stop trying to convert Gravel supporters. There's a reason we support Mike, not Ron, and nothing you can say or do will change our collective mindset. Perhaps if Ron agreed to meet and debate with Mike, but your campaign has consistently and persistently refused.
You mean I'm one of the MANY Paul supporters to register temporarily as Republican to vote for Paul in the Primaries. There are a plethora of Dems and Inds that have so registered.
And as far as your "complaint" goes about converting people: this is a public forum where anyone can participate in any discussion and comment as they like anywhere they like. That's part of my freedom of speech, which it appears, you would like me to "voluntarily" restrict. I'll do no such thing.
Ron Paul's channel (and myriad of associated videos) does not restrict, nor censor comments. That has been one of the hallmarks of his success here on Youtube. So, quit the propaganda. And I see a lot of it over here.
And as far as liking Mike, I really do love him. I just vehemently disagree with his approach and message at this point in time.
Paul doesn't either, to a degree. To comment on Ron Paul's channel, you have to register as a 'friend.' Not so on our channel. We don't think the only people to comment on our channel should be 'friends,' but Dr. Paul's campaign seems to think so.
Ron Paul's devolution is backwards: replacing income tax with nothing recipe for instant depression); will try to use states to abolish freedom of women to have abortion; wants to undermine social safety nets by eventually replacing them with privatization; wants to return to unregulated capitalism; talks about liberty and Constitution as buzz words like Obama talks about change but doesn't talk about civic duty and responsibility. Same snake oil, different brand name.
No thanks. Gravel's ideas are far superior to those of Ron Paul's in my opinion. By the way, you sound like a child on the playground, Nanny, Nanny, Boo, Boo! You could possibly be received more positively if you stopped being so negative. I am well aware of RP as my best friend supports him first and Mike second. You shouldn't be so condescending about Mike's supporters- we're growing every day. Gravel is in it until Nov. I believe in the last repub. debate RP said he would NOT run independent.
And a letter I just received today from a friend of yours:
Dear former Senator Gravel:
If you send the Honorable Congressman Dr. Ron Paul an online contribution for his 51st wedding anniversary before 12 midnight tonight (Eastern), I'll submit double the amount you contribute to his campaign over to your campaign. Just tell me how much you donated. The standard donation is $51 -- one dollar for each year that he's remained married to his loving wife.
What you get...about 5000 votes in Florida? That's about as many people as it takes fill up one of those gay movie theaters in South Beach. Now, I guess, we know who actually supports your campaign. LOL!
You mean misreported and later corrected. 0% is 0%. Give it up gravel2008 or run Independent. The Democrats have already anointed:
King Obama
Queen Hillary
to rule the new monarchy. Even Hillary said during the debate last night: "I'm going to make the changes I want for America". That's very telling because it says that she apparently doesn't give a damn about what the people really want. For that, Ron Paul leads the pack since he's the most heavily funded candidate by the grassroots.
gravel2008: I just did call the offices of the Florida Secretary of State. They said you should try to run as an Independent since you have 0% of the vote, no campaign financing, are only on about 20 State ballots, and 0 delegates thus far. They also said "And good luck to him..." and "have a nice day!".
lol - Thank-you for recognizing the sheer billiance and superior educational level of Paul supporters. We are putting our education to excellent use, by ever increasing our numbers, improving our grassroots organization capabilities, and developing unique and successful fund-raising efforts -- all on the fly. Your supporters appear to be less fortunate in this area -- looks like your supporters are still trying to catch the bus, and the short one at that.
And sorry, that's not 4%, it's much higher than that nationwide and is increasing rapidly with advertising. Where did you get that little statistic Gravel2008? Fox? Ron raised $5.1 million in his first month of this quarter and over $20 million in the last quarter (exceeding that of ANY other Republican candidate). How much has your campaign raised this quarter thus far? Last quarter? If you don't respond, then we'll all just have to assume ZERO, just like all of your other "fascinating" stats.
All that information is made publicly online, you can google it and find out.
However, under the 'internet savvy' Paul administration, none of that info will be found anywhere. That's what happens when net neutrality is smothered, something I can guarantee you President Paul will do.
President Paul? Haha! That's almost as bad as saying "President Huckabee."
Paul's not going to drop out. So dream on. You'll never get my support -- of that you can be assured. As far as you running Independent, how many Independents have ever been elected to the Presidency? ZERO. It's way too late for Gravel to enter the race as an Independent -- especially with NO real grassroots support.
You're entitled to that opinion, but Paul is gonna drop out eventually.
He will not get the Republican nomination. No matter how great the grassroots is, he will not get the R nod, and I have it on good standing that he's set to drop out immediately before the R convention.z
Wow, you really are ignorant. I'm a History major, and let me tell you this.
The Republican party was an 'independent' party, so were the Whigs, who helped the nation recover from the tyrannical frontierism of Jackson.
Independents have a history of changing the paradigm of human governance. Learn to read, then go open a book, and stop spending all your time trolling around the internet(s) for Ron Paul.
For someone who preaches 'love' as part of a revolution, you sure give up hope easy. And I know for a fact, if Paul chose to run indy, which he won't, you'd change your tune.
On the subject of "third-party" candidates, there are a multitude of roadblocks that have been established over time by both the Dem and Rep Parties. It's virtually impossible to have a successful run by a third-party. To learn some of the reasons why:
Don't give up! Lose the primaries with dignity and then run independent, if that's possible, or else start running independent now. Whichever. JUST DON'T GIVE UP!
If you send the honorable Congressman Dr. Ron Paul an online contribution for his 51st wedding anniversary tomorrow (Friday, February 1st), I'll submit double the amount you contribute to his campaign over to your campaign. Just tell me how much you donated. The standard donation is $51 -- one dollar for each year that he's remained married to his loving wife.
Except Gravel has always performed when it came time to perform action. The others in the race currently have not. If you know anything about his record then you will know that he is all about "action".
I think you're right. thing is that the other talking points are things to shoot for. The nonsense happens when the people, and divided govt. stop progress. Even gravel would hit these brick walls. Besides, if he were the front runner he would be addressing these same talking points. I do like his fearlessness though and I think you're right about his record. Down to Obama now for me.
of course gravel has always performed; he virtually brought the vietnam war to a close singlehandedly- and he obviously had to run up against some "brick walls" but he managed it. in presidency, they will all be able to figure out (just as bush did) how to get around brick walls, but with gravel we can be assured that behind that wall will be something GOOD- not war, not wire-tapping, not the banning of habeas corpus.
Why is Mike excluded by CNN from the debate tonight? There are only three left in the running for the Democratic nomination. I think it would have been great to see how Hilary and Barack would contend with Mike.
Awesome! Well done! Keep the vids coming. And, keep on going Mike Gravel, we need you more now than ever. Don't listen to the naysayers, listen to your heart as well as the people -- many who have not yet had a chance to get to the ballot box yet or whose Presidential choices have been either limited or made by others for them.
I don't doubt what you said. But it still sounds weird to me. That kind of policy could easily disqualify so many voters. Did you check with the Secretary of State's office, too?
The more i learn about Gravel the more i trust and believe in him. Ill be voting for Paul but I love Gravels honesty! I wish they would run together independant.
I haven't listened to the radio in over a year. My mp3 player's battery was dead because I accidently left it on over night. I turned on the radio and the host was saying that Guiliani has to win Florida or he will never win the presidency. They mentioned everyone else except Gravel and Paul. I found it odd because Paul has more delegates. There are people that have no clue Gravel even exist. That doesn't say much for our country.
Uhh... nice video, but it doesn't really make a comment as to what "action" is needed; it's simply a statement of problems, same as everyone else makes. (I know: NI4D -- my point is just that there's nothing offered in this video.)
well you have obviously not watched his other video. he has posted this so that you are like: "wtf? what are you gonna do about it?" then what you are meant to do is go see his other vids where he talks about what he'll do
The message and purpose of the Gravel campaign has been to challenge the style of a Presidential ad. Just because you're used to getting the status quo from the McCain campaign does not make this a bad ad.
We all know Mr. Gravel hasn't been treated fairly in this election. Don't despair as the sheeple elect the popular candidate, remember that our country is on the verge of financial ruin. All of the popular candidates are sure to fail and destroy our economy, when this occurs and the sheeple have no other choice than to wake up, guys like Gravel and Paul will shine. Sometimes we have to hit bottom to learn and that day of reckoning is coming very soon.....
I'm grateful to Mr. Gravel for showing people how one person can make a difference by taking action/s. I hope he will continue to inspire others to act positively, constructively and creatively and, yes, with love.
Very simple, concise, well said. Politicians are abhorrent and deceiving dirt bags. Mike Gravel is not a politician in the contemporary semantics context. He is a patriot and hero. God bless you Mike Gravel!
Beautiful workmanship. There's a movement coming that will bring the silenced candidates to the masses. People are trying to organize college debates and invitations to all the candidates will be offered. Did you know that the debates are run by an American corporation owned by 2 men. Media and corporation is stealing the lections from Americans! Check out 6VRd3YzOXpI
Gravel's YouTube page and his online videos are way ahead of all the other candidates. Mike GETS it. Heck he's the only candidate who has actually made vlogs on a webcam. I'm amazed the media hasn't commented on this! Go Mike, go all the people in his campaign!
Had me with "cut the crap"...the beginning could have been shortened- it made me dizzy, and got redundant. Nonetheless, still very brilliant, and another great video from the Gravel campaign. (Though, not as revolutionary as Rock or Power To the People vs. Give Peach a Chance- IMO).
promises which never will be realized, American culture is messed up, how can they re-elect Bush and know it was a mistake and still keep going for the same crap?
OMG what is wrong with this nation, people OPEN UR EYES and see that MIKE is the only option...
Every time I look at movies from mr Gravel I ask asking myself "why o why doesn't this movie have a 5 star rating?" No one can vote against a msg like this one..
Also independence was misspelled ("-dance" used instead of "-dence"). I hate to see this happen in an otherwise stellar video. Can this be easily fixed?
Sorry, Mike, this kind of creative internet advertising is just going to sail over everybody's heads. Your not going to reach out to the average voter this way. It's unfortunate, but that's how the media and the modern political environment has conditioned people. If you want more support, get out there and barnstorm your ass off. Otherwise, you'll just be stuck with 1% or less of the vote in the primaries like you've been getting.
This campaign is revolutionizing the medium. When people look back at the Gravel campaign, no matter how we do in the election, things like this will be remembered.

I believe that Ron Paul is the best on the Republican side, but Mike Gravel is the BEST choice on either side. Gravel in '08!
smh2224 4 years ago
Well, let's see, hmmm:
Gravel: 4188 Subscribers
Channel Views: 859,654
Paul: 47,618
Channel Views: 6,794,753
Go figure smh2224. Over 10 to 1, Paul to Gravel. Guess you're kind of outnumbered -- and surrounded. Apparently, there are a lot of people that disagree with Mr. Gravel's point of view here on Youtube. So stop being a crybaby, see the error in your misguided ways, discover why so many people think differently than you, and then join the Ron Paul r3VOLution!
daisym555 4 years ago 2
We don't hire robots, though, keep that in mind.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
The Paul campaign doesn't need to hire bots. We have the grassroots (you know, real people), and they apparently don't like the Gravel message very much, preferring the Paul message over 10 to 1. So quit attempting to make excuses for the Gravel campaign's -- how shall we say? -- lackluster performance.
daisym555 4 years ago 2
It's lackluster, that's for sure.
But Mike doesn't really have a voice in the Democratic party. He will have a voice, alongside R. Nader, as an independent, something the powerful Ron Paul is afraid to do.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
MIsguided ways?
Listen, I don't support Paul, but that's a hypocritical statement.
The Republican uses that line about Misguided ways to Paul a bit, I'm sure. Keep in mind, lovely, Ron isn't running against Mike yet, or probably ever.
Mike will not get the D nomination, and Ron will not get the R nomination, this I know. But Mike won't give up after that. Ron has publicly said that he will.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
Yes, that's what I said PoliticalAnalysis: "misguided" and it's not hypocritical at all. Ron is unique in that he's the only anti-neo-conservative in the race and doesn't support the existing Republican Party platform -- which is a neo-con one.
And glad you're so good at predicting the future PoliticalAnalysis. Paul has said he will continue to run as long as he has the support of the grassroots, which he continues to maintain.
daisym555 4 years ago
Then why try and convert Democratic Gravel supporters?
We're not Republicans here, in case you forgot, and there's a reason some people are supporting Mike. You won't convert Gravel democrats to paul because we support gay marriage and support abortion rights, nationally.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
I'm a Democrat. And I make a very thoughtful, deliberate and unique exception to my rule of voting for a Presidential Democrat in THIS election -- especially of the Clinton-Obama variety. This is an anti-establishment vote: an anti-war, anti-Federal Gov't largesse, anti-slavery vote.
daisym555 4 years ago
And we need an economic expert at the helm, a doctor, that thinks like a doctor and seeks to know the underlyiing causes of disease to cure it, rather than prolonging the misery with the various witch-doctor like "treatments" that are currently being offered. We're on a sinking ship, you can see it by the bread and circus going on all around us -- and it's high time for some REAL intervention.
daisym555 4 years ago
Well, Mike is no doctor. But he is an economist.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
He has a bachelor's degree in Economics, not a Ph.D. So he's not an Economist. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics -- and it's ancient knowledge.
daisym555 4 years ago
Well, Ron Paul is no economist either. He's not that great of a congressperson either, considering he hasn't attempted to end this War in Iraq yet.
You're a Democrat, voting for Paul? You do know he voted "YES" on the Bush tax cuts, right? That's almost as bad as voting to enter a War.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
More disinformation and propaganda. Paul is a recognized expert on the Hill in monetary policy and economic policy frequently (and singularly) confronting the Federal Reserve on their stranglehold over our economy.
As far as ending the war in Iraq, he's done everything in his power to not only stop it, but to prevent it prior to its inception. You must remember, he's been one of a few very lonely voices in the 435-member House who's vocally opposed the war.
daisym555 4 years ago
Well, it's good that you support Ron Paul. If you registered R to vote for Ron, I congratulate you, you're one of the few Paullites to follow through.
Do us a favor, though, stop trying to convert Gravel supporters. There's a reason we support Mike, not Ron, and nothing you can say or do will change our collective mindset. Perhaps if Ron agreed to meet and debate with Mike, but your campaign has consistently and persistently refused.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
You mean I'm one of the MANY Paul supporters to register temporarily as Republican to vote for Paul in the Primaries. There are a plethora of Dems and Inds that have so registered.
And as far as your "complaint" goes about converting people: this is a public forum where anyone can participate in any discussion and comment as they like anywhere they like. That's part of my freedom of speech, which it appears, you would like me to "voluntarily" restrict. I'll do no such thing.
daisym555 4 years ago 2
What are you talking about? You're welcome to post whatever you like, and unlike Ron Paul's channel, our channel is totally open.
However, for someone who doesn't really like Mike Gravel, you spend an awful lot of time talking about him.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
Ron Paul's channel (and myriad of associated videos) does not restrict, nor censor comments. That has been one of the hallmarks of his success here on Youtube. So, quit the propaganda. And I see a lot of it over here.
And as far as liking Mike, I really do love him. I just vehemently disagree with his approach and message at this point in time.
daisym555 4 years ago
We don't restrict or censor comments.
Paul doesn't either, to a degree. To comment on Ron Paul's channel, you have to register as a 'friend.' Not so on our channel. We don't think the only people to comment on our channel should be 'friends,' but Dr. Paul's campaign seems to think so.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
Ron Paul's devolution is backwards: replacing income tax with nothing recipe for instant depression); will try to use states to abolish freedom of women to have abortion; wants to undermine social safety nets by eventually replacing them with privatization; wants to return to unregulated capitalism; talks about liberty and Constitution as buzz words like Obama talks about change but doesn't talk about civic duty and responsibility. Same snake oil, different brand name.
gravelin08 4 years ago

LOL!
patsagainstrats 4 years ago
It was also reported that we got about 20 thousand votes, including mail-in ballots.
gravel2008 4 years ago
You mean misreported and later corrected. 0% is 0%. Give it up gravel2008 or run Independent. The Democrats have already anointed:
King Obama
Queen Hillary
to rule the new monarchy. Even Hillary said during the debate last night: "I'm going to make the changes I want for America". That's very telling because it says that she apparently doesn't give a damn about what the people really want. For that, Ron Paul leads the pack since he's the most heavily funded candidate by the grassroots.
daisym555 4 years ago
Misreported?
Do us a favor, call the FL Secretary of State. See what they say.
gravel2008 4 years ago
gravel2008: I just did call the offices of the Florida Secretary of State. They said you should try to run as an Independent since you have 0% of the vote, no campaign financing, are only on about 20 State ballots, and 0 delegates thus far. They also said "And good luck to him..." and "have a nice day!".
daisym555 4 years ago
I love the sheer brilliance of Paul supporters. Really, really good to see that you've put your education to use.
Run as an Independent? Defintely. We can't wait for Ron Paul to drop out, it'll be nice to have his collective 4%.
gravel2008 4 years ago
lol - Thank-you for recognizing the sheer billiance and superior educational level of Paul supporters. We are putting our education to excellent use, by ever increasing our numbers, improving our grassroots organization capabilities, and developing unique and successful fund-raising efforts -- all on the fly. Your supporters appear to be less fortunate in this area -- looks like your supporters are still trying to catch the bus, and the short one at that.
daisym555 4 years ago 2
And sorry, that's not 4%, it's much higher than that nationwide and is increasing rapidly with advertising. Where did you get that little statistic Gravel2008? Fox? Ron raised $5.1 million in his first month of this quarter and over $20 million in the last quarter (exceeding that of ANY other Republican candidate). How much has your campaign raised this quarter thus far? Last quarter? If you don't respond, then we'll all just have to assume ZERO, just like all of your other "fascinating" stats.
daisym555 4 years ago 2
All that information is made publicly online, you can google it and find out.
However, under the 'internet savvy' Paul administration, none of that info will be found anywhere. That's what happens when net neutrality is smothered, something I can guarantee you President Paul will do.
President Paul? Haha! That's almost as bad as saying "President Huckabee."
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
Really, really can't wait for Dr. Paul to drop out. That way we can claim some of his support.
Not all of it though. Not you, especially.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
Paul's not going to drop out. So dream on. You'll never get my support -- of that you can be assured. As far as you running Independent, how many Independents have ever been elected to the Presidency? ZERO. It's way too late for Gravel to enter the race as an Independent -- especially with NO real grassroots support.
daisym555 4 years ago
You're entitled to that opinion, but Paul is gonna drop out eventually.
He will not get the Republican nomination. No matter how great the grassroots is, he will not get the R nod, and I have it on good standing that he's set to drop out immediately before the R convention.z
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
How many independents?
Wow, you really are ignorant. I'm a History major, and let me tell you this.
The Republican party was an 'independent' party, so were the Whigs, who helped the nation recover from the tyrannical frontierism of Jackson.
Independents have a history of changing the paradigm of human governance. Learn to read, then go open a book, and stop spending all your time trolling around the internet(s) for Ron Paul.
PoliticalAnalysis 4 years ago
In recent history (the last century)? ZERO
daisym555 4 years ago
Good, then it's time for a change.

To learn some of the reasons why:

the irony is "actions not words" is just another talking point. In fact, it's the easiest one.
ArthurTyler 4 years ago 5
Except Gravel has always performed when it came time to perform action. The others in the race currently have not. If you know anything about his record then you will know that he is all about "action".
WarriorVegeta 4 years ago
I think you're right. thing is that the other talking points are things to shoot for. The nonsense happens when the people, and divided govt. stop progress. Even gravel would hit these brick walls. Besides, if he were the front runner he would be addressing these same talking points. I do like his fearlessness though and I think you're right about his record. Down to Obama now for me.
ArthurTyler 4 years ago
of course gravel has always performed; he virtually brought the vietnam war to a close singlehandedly- and he obviously had to run up against some "brick walls" but he managed it. in presidency, they will all be able to figure out (just as bush did) how to get around brick walls, but with gravel we can be assured that behind that wall will be something GOOD- not war, not wire-tapping, not the banning of habeas corpus.
