a lot of vintage things marked japan do not "suck" they can be valuable. and for this antique dealers information, antiques are item that have 100 years or more of age. all her videos are on tacky mass produced vintage trinkets, not antiques. how about some videos on fine glassware, sterling serving items, oil paintings, actual antique items or actual worth.
My mobile phone has helps me making money at garage sales. I can quickly view garage sales from Craigslist on a map with Garage Sale Rover. MediaScanner is another good one for getting fast prices.
Things made in Japan are increasing in Value. For example, there is a Company called Senpo, they made very "Kitsch" looking dolls from Japan. The company only produced these dolls for about 4 years (late 50's early 60's). A MIB Senpo is worth a lot to a collector. For most "Kitsch" collectors, you can still get them cheap, Most of that stuff ended up in Landfill. I understand what you are saying tho and you really have to know what you are looking for when looking for an "Antique of the future"
Vintage Barbie items from Japan are what you WANT to look for. They are a good indication of the dolls from 1959 to the late 60s and are marked on the tush.
This lady knows too, little to be telling others things. Again, the word "CHEESY" "CHEESY" "CHEESY"...she uses that word in alot of her videos.....I would expect more from a PhD.

She's annoying. She doesn't give any useful tips for WHAT to look for in an authentic piece.

Not everything from Japan is worthless.
