Anyone else think "Glorified version of a pellet gun" is just a really poorly worded line? Seems really akward to me. If bullet guns were based on the template of pellet guns instead of the other way around, it would make sense, i guess? Great melody but I always had the sense that they changed the lyrics from something else. like "Glorified version of your small penis" or things of that nature. Then again, my wife thinks it's "Glorified version of a billy goat" so everyone's an interpreter!

@lyonslaforet don't get me wrong, Ten really was the start of something special but I'm glad that Pearl Jam have mixed things up in their 20-year tenure instead of making every album sound like Ten and from a guitarist's point of view, which I am, I don't find songs from Ten great to play because it's pretty basic whereas after '91 PJ started breaking the mould and became more interesting and diverse with their sound.

I wonder if Kurt Cobain gave this album a listen and gave Pearl Jam second thoughts as to how original they were trying to be instead of just imitating Led Zeppelin in an obvious way with an album like Ten was- because even though Ten was a good album, there isn't anything fresh and exciting about the songs musically. Better things were to come for Pearl Jam if you ask me.
