Yay! Japanese version! I got my Zelda no Densetsu Toki no Okarina cartridge from eBay as well! Good battle and only 3 hearts. I need to try the 3 hearts challenge sometime

No, it's not. Early versions of the game have that design. Later Versions, GameCube port, and Virtual Console version have the new design.

By the way... Note that both the US and Japanese versions show Ganondorf caughing RED blood and not green as in the PAL-version... Or perhaps they changed it for the GameCube release of Wind Waker and Collector's Edition.

It's green in some versions of the US game. Late 1.1's and all 1.2's.

Japan only got 1.0 and the GameCube Editions correct? I have the Japanese 1.0 cartridge and I wasn't sure if only USA and PAL countries got 1.1, 1.2, and 2.0

@Giratina87 Yes, the Japanese version is 1.0, though Japanese text still exists in the US (and maybe European?) ROMs and can be hacked back in, so you can technically still play 1.1 and 1.2 in Japanese. Though if you look at the ROMs, the Japanese version seems to be the same size as US 1.1, but I think it's just a coincidence.

@quittaboi Really? I heard there is a GS Cheat to make the text Japanese again. I got my JP version from eBay to have as an awesome collectors item. Was used, came in box, had manual and game was even in the cart wrap from the factory! The 1st file was beaten completely. Every heart, upgrade, skulltula etc.

It was a minimalist thing. I only used 1 c-button as a child. Used two here because i was equipped with 2 as an adult

@captainmullet That's doesn't even make sense. How does using one C-button add to anything except how frustrating it makes the game? I could understand not getting or using any of those other things but that's a little tedious and ridiculous.

he used to bottle because if he does it a little to early it will stay in place for like a bit longer compared to the sword wich is faster
