It's a shame that non-intellectuals are allowed to post on this particular video. The pedantic nature of this discussion is lost on those who cannot understand the basis for the lecture. Please argue race, ethnicity, and religion somewhere else. There is no Jewish race and most of the issues regarding Judaism as an ethnoreligious concept are an affront to serious anthropology.

I am not self obsessed and even if i am. I am sure other people are too (muslims, christians, ect), people like to think they are better than other, that just life!

I don't see hundreds of slave museums and memorials throughout the land, nor native people genocide museums, nor a new movie every month about the Irish famine. Yet every major city has at least one major holocaust museum and or memorial and we have been seeing new holocaust movies every month or so for decades. I think this speaks to a combination of self obsession/power/money. It may very well be not true of many Jewish folks, but there is a significant section of Jews for whom it is true

Well 6 million Jews died mate thats a lot. people should be educated that why we have museums.
And most with movie its no ones fault that "the irish" dont make films about themselves.

A lot more than 6 million Native Peoples were killed and a lot more than 6 million Africans were killed -- all on US soil. And their enslavement/persecution went on for centuries. Yet we have museusms for a holocaust that lasted less than 6 years and occurred an ocean away and in which our only role was to put an end to it.

Again i will repeat myself why dont the africans or native people open museums? For the Jewish people it is important to have museums to educate people so it will never happen again. there is a lot of hate in our world today and for the Jews that hate is a real treat. If your so anti-jewish museums. why dont you open a slave museum. i would travel from Australia to see it.

Actually this is the first time you have voice the opinion that africans and native people should open their own museums, but why let accuracy and facts get in the way of a good story?
Why are there major memorials on prominent public lands in every major US city -- partially funded thru US tax dollars? A crime that took place an ocean away, which lasted less than ten years, and in which America's only role was to put an end to it?

Actually, most americans are sick and tired of it. Holocaust Museums in Germany -- sure, makes sense. Holocaust museums in the USA -- sure if they are about the african american and native peoples holocausts. More Jewish Holocaust memorials and museums and movies and lectures and books and classes in the USA -- Please.
