Nice job. I understand the fancy paints, but would like to know what to use for the basics (white, gray, red...). I dont know what brand or type may be used with the airbrush for painting on metal. Will automotive base coats work, or do I need something else? I appreciate your input/Thanks

@killertctma Yep, you sure can. It's all about the technique here. Use this on anything. Canvas, car, truck, sand rail, xbox... If you're painting it, you can use this technique.

@killertctma You don't have to use an automotive paint, but you're running the risk of the paint fading if you don't (assuming it's on a vehicle). If you're painting on canvas or a shirt, then use whatever textile paint you would normally use for that application. I use Auto Air and Wicked for most things, but recently switched to spectra tex for tshirts.

Say whatever your painting is going to be candy blue all over. What colors would you use for the lightning then? Will white and candy blue still look good you think or would I need to use a different color because the blues would clash? Thanks.

yeh that looks alright...but from what I remember lightning doesn't travel like that! maybe using a photo would help capture the true paths of lightning.

it's a bit overdone with the music and 30 second wait at the begninning and the stage whisper like 'i'm too cool for anything.'

Just stay away from Pasche, figure on spending over 200-300 bucks but its a good idea to talk to a decent artist, I started airbrushing ON MY BIKE! *Not such a good Idea but with lightning it actually looked really good (I laminated 2X2 twill carbon fiber over the fairings first) Tell them you want it for fine, fine detail though. Good luck bro!

You don't have to spent $300.. I just snagged an awesome Iwata Eclipse on eBay for $65 shipped.. Was using a Paasche VL and this brush is light years ahead of it.

Ya man I love my eclipse, also have the Iwata Smart jet Compressor, simply the best compressor for the bucks.

I like it alot. It feels super solid, high quality. The spray pattern is a little fat, .3 mm, so you really got to get in close to pull details. But it will go from all around brush to detail if you need it too.

It's a workhorse airbrush for sure though.

i personally like a violet purple glow. it looks cooler to me. *TIP* if you want it to be bright, uses fluorescent colors for the glow
