Nancy and Alice were the smartest women in the NOES series. Nancy slept with alarm clocks that woke her up when Freddy tried to kill her and burned herself to wake up when Freddy tried to kill her. Alice permanently moved out of Springwood after Freddy killed her brother and her friends and tried to kill her twice. As far as I know, Alice is the only character with the smarts to leave Springwood forever.

Freddy`s dumb. He was about to kill Alice! Why would he try to kill the last person who could give him more victims? There are still other alive teenagers in Springwood that Alice could bring to him in her dreams. But, since she knows that not only is she the Dream Master, but she got Kristen`s people pulling into dream power, I am sure she wouldn`t be accidentally pulling people into dreams anymore. Freddy should have waited until Alice was the only alive teenager to try to kill her.

I don`t know who is better as a kick-ass heroine between Nancy and Alice. Nancy was always kick ass, but Alice was a slow burn kick ass heroine. Remember she used to be shy and meek, then after her friends died, she got fed up with Freddy and decided to kick his ass and defeat him and she did. But she used the powers she got from her dead friends to help her fight Freddy. Nancy defeated Freddy with no help. She did it all on her own. Plus, she is the first person to have ever defeated Freddy.
