The H1's do great off road, sometimes not so well in mud due to the weight. I've been to AM-GENERALS off-road traing and was very surprised by the H3 too. if you know how to drive they go everywhere, alot of the videos i see on here with HUMMERS stuck were driver error. The H1 does not come factory direct with an extended air intake such as the military counter part. They are easily added tho. Civy Hummers do not have water proof electrical connections as the humvee does.
Definitely lucky as you exceeded by a significant margin the manufacturer's water fording depth limitation of a stock HUMMER. I personally know two guys that pushed that limit as far as you did with out success. I bet you know at least one of them. Luck has a nasty habit of running out at the most inopportune time!
@Gasoline500 The air intake is up on the passanger side of the hood. The engine is a diesel and fully sealed. All drivetrain components are vented through the air intake also so nothing is vented low like in most common 4x4 vehicles. Glad you like the video.

it's called 4WD and i dont think that when vehicles go in water they float on top, do you? 4WD = FOUR WHEEL DRIVE .. all 4 wheels are being driven by the motor of the vehicle therefore giving the vehicle 4 contact spots with the terrain instead of 2 making it much more agile and less harder to move thru very ruff terrains just like the one in the video.
no 4wd just means power is going to the front and rear axles. now in those axles are usually "open diffs" which give power to the easiest wheel there for one front wheel one rear wheel. now with that lesson over there are ways to make all 4 wheels turn, my jeep has a spool in the rear which causes both rear wheels to always be locked together my front axle has whats called a "air locker" in it(try to stay with me) now the "air locker" locks both front wheels when i engage it. ok?
It's got a snorkel kit. Look at the left side of the windshield. See that pipe with the mushroom cap? That's the snorkel. We have them on most of our HMMWV's (which are what spawned the H1) here in the Marine Corps.

have you ever driven an H1? Try taking 4 friends with you in an H1. How about buying one? Slight price variation. Lots of reasons that the others are proper in their own venues. All hummer products do very well against their intended competition.

The H2 and H3 are quite capable considering their competition. They come with 35s and 33s, skids, lockers, low-end, etc.
Anything compared to aftermarket upgrades looks and performs worse, but among stock vehicles there really aren't too many options that are more capable. The Rubicon is better, but that's about it.
Ya, but how many people are gonna buy an H2 or H3 for offroading? very little. Most are gonna buy them and put 24's on them and use them as grocery haulers or soccer mom cars. This is why I say the H1 is the only good hummer cuz its not designed to look hip and flashy on the streets like the H2 or H3

The distributor cap is usually the weak point for a gas engine if it gets wet it is not very good.
Since a diesel uses compression to run it doesnt need to worry about a spark to keep the engine running.

Ok, like i said it dosnt really matter lol. Believe me or not...i could care less. And that cbr is a really nice bike, i wanted it because its dependible and fast. have you ever driven an H1? Try taking 4 friends with you in an H1. How about buying one? Slight price variation. Lots of reasons that the others are proper in their own venues. All hummer products do very well against their intended competition.

The H1 is the ONLY good model in the hummer lineup. They made the H2 and H3 too street. I'd take a hummer h1 over any vehicle any day.

The H2 and H3 are quite capable considering their competition. They come with 35s and 33s, skids, lockers, low-end, etc.
Anything compared to aftermarket upgrades looks and performs worse, but among stock vehicles there really aren't too many options that are more capable. The Rubicon is better, but that's about it.

Ya, but how many people are gonna buy an H2 or H3 for offroading? very little. Most are gonna buy them and put 24's on them and use them as grocery haulers or soccer mom cars. This is why I say the H1 is the only good hummer cuz its not designed to look hip and flashy on the streets like the H2 or H3

No matter how rugged it is, if the air filter is under the water your engine is WRECKED! Hummers are ok, but I am a biased landrover man, Series I, II, III, 101 FC, 90, 110, Defender (pre TD5 that is).
