I have been producing music for the last 20 years without actually being able to play (lots of programming etc.) In 20mins you have allowed me to express myself in a way I thought would take years to achieve, I even brought my left hand into play which would have previously sounded like my left foot!!!!!

For your straight to the point yet highly likeable manner and extremely intuitive teaching method I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hey I have a question, Im quite old, 21 actually and piano sounds really interesting to me..I went to the schs and they offered 2 kinds of piano lesson, pop and classical, can you explain the different? are all your lessons on the classical stuff??

classical is following a path of learning classical music, the pop lessons would be less structured and you'd be playing random popular pieces, i find that people in pop progress much slower than people in classical, but that is just my opinion. hope that helps

been watching all your lessons and this one was by far the best, specially the practical part of figuring out the major or minor by example.

so you worked out the key signature by looking the flats and counting back one...

but what about sharps, do you have a pattern like this for them? like if there are 3 sharps, how do you know what key that is in without looking at the circle of fifths chart?

ahhh! i forgot to put the trick for the sharps in teh lesson! :( all you do is look at the newest sharp and go up one key, if you see an F#, go up one key, and that's G, so you're in G major...
