  • Although I believe that Jay-Z is the best artist in his genre and actually quite a talented guy I don't like the fans he brings, once more hip-hop comes so do the chavs sorry but chavs at glastonbury just ruin the whole fucking weekend. But this video was an amazing way to start his set

  • m from manchester and i was over the moon that jay z was head lining.

  • I THINK I SAW BEYONCE A 0:22

  • i dunno if anybody notices, but 99 probs had a rock sample. stop whining, england, i f jimi was alive hed be proud of how jay z revolutionized african american music

i love rpck but some fans are so steriotypical against hip hop, its not funny

  • "to the crowd, it wasn't rock and rap or a battle of genres- it was music" - jayz

  • Alright Noel! HIP HOP CAN SUCK MY DICK!

  • I hate the fact that music is subjected to this narrow minded bullshit. I am an individual and I listen to rock, classical, jazz, hiphop and even heavy metal...and yes I'm black

  • I don't care what people say, I love Jay-Z and pretty much anything at Glastonbury. I'd just be happy to be apart of this big ass celebration sometime in my life and so should anyone.

  • Idiot

  • 1:30 Fucking Chávez!!!

  • y didn't the bbc show this

  • oasis is shitt jay-z is shit...nuff said!

  • i dont care what genre plays , glastonbury is a celebration of all music , as long as there are good bands also

  • exata-fucking-mundo.

  • the thing is... hip hop isnt music

  • @misswarpants Disagree till the upmost but still thats your opinion I respect that. Not including that booty poping shit, but if you've learn to love poetry than why not consider rap as a form of music? You might be listening to the wrong songs.

  • @misswarpants i listened to rock music my whole life, still, what jay-z does with hip hop is friggin awesome and i love most of his tunes... don't be so narrow-minded not to call this music... everything that finds even one consumer has the right to be existent!

  • Pure class... aint gonna be nothing like this set this year... love it or hate it, you saw one of the best & (in my opinion) most original Pyramid stage sets. Letz see what reception Noel & Liam get if they play any time soon.

  • couldnt have put it better myself.

  • they're welcome to play there , but they refused , coz the sound system at Glastonbury is shite !

  • completely. that set was amazing. whenever i think about it i still get chills and my hairs stand on end. SO please i was there to witness it.

  • Loved Jay Z - he showed how conservative these so-called peace and love festivals are.

I'm not a big fan of him - but his performance was out there and to the people. Most of which couldn't afford to go if you catch my drift.

Fuck Gallagher - he's just an Alf Garnett indie pleb

  • All the hype was carefully orchrastrated between the two parties so they could both cash in, if you can't see that then you are as thick as pigshit. Remember .. any publicity is good publicity.

  • It worked out pretty well for everyone involved. Wonderwall got back in the charts (It was released in 95! More than 10 years ago! Pretty fucking cool) and Jay Z sold a shit load of records. Everyone's a winner! :D

  • to be fair, his comment was taken out of context, he was only responding to a question about why he thought Glastonbury hadn't sold out like it has every other year. In my opinion it was a big deal about nothing and neither were in the wrong - Noel just said his opinion and Jay Z said his, people need to get over it. After all, they have.

  • Continued from previous comment (damn youtube) They've both put it behind them - Jay Z said he would work with Oasis & doesn't hold a grudge & Noel said he has nothing agaist JayZ as a person & that him preforming Wonderwall was a pretty funny idea. He's a fan of early hip hop anyway, he went to a Def Jam concert when he was a teenager & has said several times before all this nonsence started that he loves Public Enemy, he's just not a fan of modern hip hop....

  • Fare play to Jay Z, I'm not a fan of his music but if someone criticizes you you're bound to respond. It got a bit childish putting that bit about Noel in his song tho but never mind....

  • The last bit sums it all up.... FUCKING NO CHANCE!!!!! And like the girl said How Can You Mosh Too Jay-Z

  • all i have to say is

    dont fuck with hov

  • i hear dat bro

  • just like how Jay-Z saved Nas career with the "takeover" diss, he could probably save Oasis as well with the glastonbury performance and with jockin jay-z. they havent made good music since the 1990's. hopefully it inspires them to make good music again. really since dig out your soul was lame!

  • youve got to be jokin please tel me your joking...him save oasis rite 1 oasis dont need savin they make records for ther fans the only reason they get slated is because people are just instantly sayin ther albums ar shit like they think its cool t say tht.2 they are not guna be inspired by some dic who thinks is funny to get a guitar and pretend to be a rock star

  • I'm not joking. Oasis is just ape redundant old guitar band, Jay Z pushes more boundaries in one song and a page of lyrics than Oasis' entire back catalogue. Oasis lyrics are just fey, ambiguous dreck that could be about anything. What is Lyla about? Wonderwall? Then look at Can I Live or Dead Presidents. There's no comparison who's better for music.

  • they're both awful musicians

  • The only thing Jay Z would know how to do with that guitar is bat Banana's down from the banana tree... what a talent-less ass clown he is!

He wishes he could be a rock star, but all he is good at is African folk music ... aka RAP.

  • all he's good at is rap?

then why as a businessman is he worth 547 million? haha check your facts before you diss someone.

  • @capshockey22

    ahahahah 547 mil my ass

check your facts before you diss someone

  • fucking brilliant vid to play before a gig

  • jay z can disrespect whoever he wants

  • noel > jay-z

  • lol at the end "fockin no chance"

  • lirl at noel getting his ass beat

  • Jay Z is the best live rapper in the fucking world.

Noel Gallagher can suck my arse; it aint his glastonbury so just fuck off you over rated wanker.

  • lol exactly. I got flamed for sayin that lol, f-Noel & who the fk made him the voice of Glasto. Bollix

  • at least someone on youtube has some common sense!

  • the best gig of the year no question

  • If You Like This-->New Jay Z & Coldplay on the kissfm channel!!!

  • If You Like This-->New Jay Z & Coldplay on the kissfm channel!!!

  • i agree with mashlikesgolfface, i was at this show and loved it, but it seemed like he was playing it safe and only performing songs that he knew were hits over here. he should of had more faith in his audience and played the stuff that real J Z fans knew and loved, like dead presidents, i think he put to much pressure on himself, in light of the contraversy him playing at glasto created. He still killed it though, the mans a legend

  • How do you mosh to Jay Z?

How the f**k do you mosh to Oasis?

  • slowly.

  • lol

  • What the fuck was that fat bitch going on about. I've NEVER seen moshing at Glastonbury. Cos everyone's stoned. Oasis just ape a redundant old guitar band, Jay Z pushes more boundaries in one song and a page of lyrics than Oasis' entire back catalogue. Oasis lyrics are just fey, ambiguous dreck that could be about anything. What the fuck is Lyla about? Wonderwall? Then look at Can I Live or Dead Presidents. There's no comparison who's better for music.

  • fuck off oasis av the best lyrics ive ever heard

  • Oasis, Lyla: "Hey, Lyla! The stars are about to fall So what d'you say, Lyla? The world around us makes me feel so small, Lyla! If you can't hear me call then I can't say, Lyla! Heaven'll help you catch me if I fall!" Jay Z, 99 Problems: "Fiends on the floor scratchin again Paparatzi's with they cameras snappin them D.A. tried to give the nigga shaft again Half-a-mil for bail cause I'm African" Not much doubt as to who's actually tried with their lyrics there.
  • ok then heres sum proper oasis lyrics

I live my life in the city

    There's no easy way out

The day's moving just too fast for me

    and

i live my life for the stars to shine

the people say it's just a waste of time

when they say i should feed me head

that to me it's just a day in bed

  • I agree that Oasis is a great band.

Jay-Z....I thought he was a good rapper, but I don't think he should have played in Glastonbury as the Headliner. Jay-Z opening with "Wonderwall" pist me off a lil bit.

i dont care if Jay-Z is best rapper of all time, you dont disrespect someone's song that way.

JAY-Z should have better lyrics than Oasis, cause Oasis has to also play music u know....Jay-Z does wat...writes lyrics and says them. music is produced for Jay-Z, music is played BY Oasis.

  • Music is about the LYRICS, Not the BEATS, Or the Pianos, Or whatever. The LYRICS is the poetry, Thats what Hip Hop is anyway. Noel disrespected Jay, Jay did the same to him. And honestly, Jay as an artist, and song writer, He makes Noel look like a nobody, Which he really is.

  • I don't think you get what I said. I said that Jay-Z should have better lyrics than Oasis simply because Oasis has to play music on top of that. Rock music is about the instrumentals. Hip-Hop is the lyrics.

I have nothing against Jay-Z's style of rap. I think his old albums are better than the new ones, but the fact is that I don't like him covering other people's songs. Jay-Z and Noel are both big people. Jay-Z doesnt make Noel look like a nobody and same for Noel. Theyre both great.

  • No.. Noel isnt great, He even admitted himself, There song to fame was just a peice of garbage they mumbled to them self and made it a hit and everyone liked it, Name a song apart from wonderwall that reall stands out with them? ........ Exactly. I can name SEVERAL Jay songs that stand out.

  • Live Forever

    Stand By Me

    All Around the World

    Morning Glory

    Stop Crying Your Heart Out

    Supersonic

    JAY-Z

every grammy he won includes someone else in it. besides 99 Problems and one of his albums. All of Oasis's songs were just them no one else was featured.

EVERY Jay-Z song that stands out is featuring him. It's not even his song it's someone's song. Numb/Encore, Crazy in Love, Umbrella, Deja Vu. 99 problems literally is the only song that stands out and is his own song.

  • Ok 6 Stand out Oasis Songs, You ready for Jay's? Btw, Jay has collaborated on like 9 hit singles.. What u talkin about? No good songs that are his own? ok.. 99 Problems Dirt Off Your Shoulders D'evils Can't Knock The Hustle Encore (The Original Off The Black Album) Moment Of Clarity Take Over Izzo (H.O.V.A) Jigga What, Jigga Who Never Change
  • Continue... Renegade Jockin Jay-Z (Fuck Oasis) History (Song Of 08) Show Me What Ya Got Lost Ones 30 Something Minority Report Beachchair Dead Presidents ll Brooklyns Finest I'd Do Anything For You
  • ok I actually listen to Jay-Z....none of those songs...actually stand out to EVERYONE...

I put up common songs that people have heard of not their whole discography. only songs that were good in your list, Dirt off your shoulders, 99 Problems, Izzo, Encore....and i didn't even think Izzo and Encore was that good...it's only good cause of the mash with Linkin Park.

ALL you listed....if you said it to some1 who liked hip-hop would never have heard any of those songs before.

  • And you REALLY think those Oasis songs stand out to everyone? ha.. Didnt think did you.

Btw, Its not his whole discography, Its like a few songs off his albums... And I wasnt just randomly picking, They are good songs.

I didnt say they stand out, You just said he had no good songs that are not collabs, So I proved you wrong.

  • First you honestly can't say those songs are good...cause you have a bias. A Paris Hilton song can be good if someone likes her.

Second. You said "stand out" not me.

Third. You're obviously a Jay-Z fan, and I respect you as a fan. But you cannot say Oasis is worse without being an actual fan. If you can sing to at least 5 Oasis songs without looking them up, then you're a fan of Oasis. At the very least say its ur opinion instead of arguing with some1 who likes both musicians.

  • Yes I Can say those are good... Everyone I named are the best Jay-Z Songs, Don't you fuckin try to twist what I say, Just because I named good songs. Yes I said stand out, But then you said 'No Jay songs are good, only the ones where hes on it with someone else' or whatever.. You was wrong, VERY wrong to say that. I like 2 Oasis songs, 'Don't look back in anger' and 'Wonderwall' Thats it bro.

You like Jay-Z? Don't lie bro, Your just using it to help your fake argument. You don't like him.

  • i don't like his new music. I liked his old music when it aired on MTV when MTV only showed music videos. I loved those music videos cause it had nice lookin girls and everything.

you don't know me so u cant say i'm lying. I dont care if u believe me but i know i like Jay-Z. and i never said "good song" i said it "stands out" please get ur facts straight. I'm using what u actually said not twisting it. I'm taking what u LITERALLY said.

now ur just attacking me personally. not the music.

  • lol you really have twisted everything you've said.

So your saying only 99 Problems stands out? Thats just crazy. Your not a Hip Hop fan, Let alone a Jay-Z fan. End it.

  • if you really wanted to end this...u would have never replied to me.

this was never about the music. this was about ur pride. and if u call this new music brought by Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Akon, etc. is hip-hop then you've really lost ur mind.

Hip-hop has changed....the hip-hop i listened to was so much better...Sugar Sugar, Ignition, Slow Jamz, All Falls Down, slow motion, etc.

and why should I end it...and give u the satisfaction u always wanted. This was personal from the start for u

  • Wooo! Lmao.

My Pride? Wtf homie... Listen, I just had to show you what a dumbass you are. You don't know Hip Hop, So stay out of it. You go with ya Rock shit, I'll go with Hip Hop. The old hip hop as you claim, Wasnt hip hop, It was old school R&B Bullshit, Hip Hop is Jay-Z, Biggie, Nas, Pac, Rakim Etc.

  • You know what...you just keep justifying me to cuss you out...but i don't feel that profanity is necessary.

    I'm a dumbass cause I don't know hip-hop? then your a fucking dumbass cause u don't know rock music.

so how bout FUCK YOU...u think ur the shit? u think cause ur hip-hop that makes u untouchable. Rockstars have been just as violent as hip-hop stars.

U should also know that rockstars are not fucking afraid. u think cause u can cuss means imma back out...fuck u...u don't know passion

  • How about this.

    Jay-Z - D'evils

My Flesh, No Nigga Could Test,

My Soul Is Possessed, In The Form Of

    Diamonds And Lexuses, The Exorcist..

Got me doing Skits, Like Homie You Dont Know

Me, But The Whole World Owe Me.

    KING.

  • also....I didn't twist ANYTHING i said. I said specifically. "EVERY Jay-Z song that stands out is featuring him. It's not even his song it's someone's song."

I never used the word "good" in that whole message.

    You said

"Name a song apart from wonderwall that reall stands out with them? ........ Exactly. I can name SEVERAL Jay songs that stand out."

when the fuck did i twist anything. i just stated whatever u said. if thats not what u meant then u should say it's not wat i meant.

  • Lmao.

Still, Your saying 99 Problems is the only Jay-Z song that stands out... What the fuck?

    Lol fuck you.

  • let me make this clear. maybe to you....EVERY Jay-Z song stands out. but to me, no...only 99 problems and dirt off your shoulder are the only songs that stand out for me.

does that make it more clear for u...I told u i have respect for u as a fan of Jay-Z but stop attacking people just cause u think ur opinions are right. An opinion doesn't make it a fact.

I took the time to ask people too...he didn't know 3/4 the songs you typed. and he's a hip-hop fan. and he didnt kno Oasis obviously

  • Also let's set this straight as well...do you really even care? cause now it only seems like u want the last word so u can tell ur friends "i made some kid on youtube shut up after telling him my man Jay is the shit"

I don't think either Noel or Jay are bad musicians, they are both good. but u said Oasis sucks...that u keep to urself. I said those things because (this will sound childish) but u started it.

END IT if u want by not replying or keep replying if u really want the last word.

  • Im not tryna get the last word, Im just breaking you down like a little bias bitch you are. Let me put it straight, If you say Jay has only ONE Stand out song, That means you do not like him, Or do not listen to him, Or just twist everything you say.

    But its all good.

  • if it's all good then y r u still replying...

profanity is unnecessary too...it does not emphasize your point it only pisses off people.

and what u just said...was like an interpretation of what i told u. IF U HONESTLY don't want the last word...then stop replying....This isn't about me liking Jay-Z or not. This is about how...Jay-Z and Oasis are both great musicians.

but u said Oasis isn't great. how bout u cant say crap about Oasis either...ur not a fan. don't be a hypocrite.

  • So Now you've got to be a fan of the artist to judge weather they are good or not? Im not a fan of Soulja Boy, And I know hes wack as hell.

You see, But im done, I Wont reply.

  • dont make me laf oasis have had hit after hit you say just wonderwal thas because your very narow minded dont coment on things you dont know about

  • how about this - I love Oasis and I love Jay-Z. But together? Fucking no chance!

  • what pissed me off bout jay at glastonbury was dat he didnt take da opertunity to show his older stuff like 'dead presidents' 'can i live' or 'd'evils' dats da real jay-z...he just did all his mainstream shit...even umbrella!! nah jay...u gotta show em how gud u can b...reasonable doubt is one of da best albums eva!!!

  • The thing is he wasn't gonna win everyone over by playing songs we didn't know. Festivals are all about playing your biggest crowd pleasers, however regardless of what he played he would have been amazing. It was one of the best gigs I've ever been to.

  • My nigga Jay might not have sold out Glastonbury with all these racist white people who didn't want him there and the ignorant asses who were so uneducated about who he was but check the history... my nigga sold out the famous Madison Square Garden in a day! AND HE KILLED IT AT GLASTONBURY!!! Way to silence the critics again Jay!!!

  • Cypress hill, Wu tang and co always went down well there...this time was the only time in years it didn't sell out though..

Truly he beleives he's breaking some kind of music taste, and racial barriers, but most people didn't want him there cos he's a fat bag of bollox, simple

  • Profy00

    U talk shit, he's right.

    Hovvvvvvvvvvvvva!!!!!!!! Awsome.

  • Jay-Z was awesome bt i think Groove Armada was so much funner :] bt coudnt get close when jay z was on . it was packed lol. and amy winehouse was shit !

  • Brilliant!

  • "that bloat from oasis said I couldn't play guitar...somebody should've told him I'm a fucking rockstar"

  • music is more than the bones there DMAC. and besides, speak of your own account. what have you done mind blowing anytime? genius huh? must've had a crack think tank come up with this ploy...and he botched it real good. it's no dis to jayz, it's a rock festival. when a festival comes along that combines the two forms, so be it. tradition dictates that glastonbury ain't. like timberlake opening for ACDC and stones in toronto. ass man. stick to the crowds that want ya.

  • If people like noel gallagher hadn't complained about Jay-Z he wouldn't have got half the people goin to watch him. All the fuss created curiosity, most people just went to see him for a laugh, a guy who makes songs called 'big pimpin' and who collaborates with linkin park can't really be taken that seriously. As for sellin more records worldwide, that's gonna be mostly to yanks and japanese who like shite music

  • what, so, tottaly regardless of the fact that everyone watching him new the words to his songs and went there because they all thought he was the best rapper alive... yeah..

besides, YOU might think its shite music but that doesnt change the fact that its music that actually means something to alot of people, not just in america and japan.

  • fucc noel faggerher jay z is not a singer nor does he aspire to be he took a faggots song and mocked him and the crowd went along with it and sang right along, if noel went to a hip hop event and did the exact same thing he would get booed if not get his ass snatched off stage so what jay did was classic and genius now somebody tell noel to get his bank account, triple it, and add up what he has made over his whole career and he still wouldnt come close to what hova made last year alone hater.

  • oasis wouldnt do a hip hop festival

  • you've obviously never been to glastonbury - it's the ultimate festival and plays a whole range of music, not just one type. Jay z was absolutely amazing this year, he proved all the critics wrong. this video gives me goosebumps. Its not about who's best or who's aloud to play, its about being open minded and enjoying talent.

  • hey sod, stick ur head out of ur ass n read comments like "SEND IT BACK TO THE GHETTO N BRING ON OASIS" n then tell me if thats not racist u fucking cunt!

  • 0:49...liam says it best!

  • jay-z is legend

  • i dont think it was about racism, it was about the two genres not mixing well. noel just didn't word it correctly. Now jay-z should stick to rap, he obviously didn't even know the lyrics to the song. he probably had a bigger croud because people were simpatgizing with the man, since he didn't put any one down.

  • Fuckin racist pricks! whats the problem with having hip hop in a music festival?

  • What does it have to do with racism, you fucking cretin!!

  • seriously, i was there when jay-z headlined. according to official figures, he pulled a bigger crowd than the verve and kings of leon. im not a huge hip hop fan, but i was very impressed and i didnt hear one bad word about him once his set had started. festivals of one genre are shit. they appeal to the conformers a.k.a. the dickheads. how can u be afraid of change and variety? or are you just trying to be cool by agreeing with some other twats on this comments board?

  • jay-z is an utter legend man

  • Noel tells it like it is.. way to go dude.

Hip hop and rap is NOT music - which ones is the fucking drummer/base player/lead guitarist?

Yo bitch, yo drugs, yo guns... send it back to the ghetto and bring on OASIS

  • oasis are well gona mate. jay-z has sold more records worldwide so clearly your in the minority. i like oasis. i appreciate different types of music. im not a twat....unlike u obv

  • you're ridiculous

  • utter knobhead

  • Yeah Mozart lacked a drummer/base player/lead guitarist too ya know...

    Twat.

  • k lets clear something up:

    1) Noel Gallagher was completely right about a rap/hip-hop act being wrong for GLastonbury.

    2) Jay-Z maybe a good artist, but he was wrong for this festival, hence why it was the first time in 15 years why it wasn't sold out.

    3) Jay-Z's wonderwall performace, while clever, was terrible, and only furthered Galagher's claim that Jay-Z shouldn't be performing there.

  • 1.did you even go? jay z had the whole field packed (take it from me i was actually in the crowd!) and going mad for his set. probably one of the best crowd reactions i seen at glastonbury. so how he was wrong im not sure

2.if one pyramid headliner stopped people going then good, theyre idiots. glasto has so much more going on it shouldnt matter who headlines the saturday...

    3. its not meant to be good, its meant to be a bit of a laugh.

you clearly have never been to glastonbury have you?

  • 1) I've actually gone to the past four Glastonburys including this one.

    2) The field was packed? So what! it wasn't sold out and it's been busier before.

    3) Glastonbury should of stuck with tradition and had a rock headliner, not a rapper!

    4) Yea it does have alot going for it hence why I went despite Jay-Z, but the headliner is the face of the festival and to think otherwise is just stupid.

    4) A bit of a laugh, sure. But as a musician his attempt was pathetic.

    Anything else?

  • the headliner is not the face of glastonbury to the majority of goers, hence why you usually dont get any of the lineup untill after the tickets bought. its even stupider not to go cos of one act out of hundreds whose only on for 75 mins anyways! i dont understand why you are so insistent that he wasnt right for festival at the end of the day he had a massive crowd (certainly bigger than kings of leons!) who were loving him! surely that means he was a good headliner?

  • and while im here...

i dont think jay z was the sole reason this festival didnt sell out. i agree if radiohead/coldplay were playing sat then more tickets would have been sold. but is that solely jay z's fault? the verve/kings of leon were hardly the greatest headliners eiher and there was also crap like fratellis/panic at the dsico as major bands....you cant blame it all on jay z

as for tradition, b.jaxx, moby, kylie (didnt play but was booked), chem bros hav all headlined and theyre not rock

  • When i speak of a headliner, it is the band/artist that is the main attraction of that years festival. This year was Jay-Z. Unfortunately he wasn't that big of an attraction (yes he had a big crowd, but compared to the crowd Oasis, or Coldplay would of gotten it was not that impressive).

As for Panic at the Disco/Kings of Lion/The verve I thought they were all crap....all in all my worst Glastonbury to date.

  • i thought his crowd was a lot bigger than the one oasis had in 04, and he was a far sight better than they were aswell and didnt have shitloads of the crowd leaving!

  • Why are you lying voetbal, more people turned out this year than ever before. Oasis is washed up.

  • Noel Gallagher for Prime Minister.

  • "No, I'm not 'avin ip-opp at Glosten-bree, no way mon!".

  • i hate fuckin rap!

jay z? what the fuck do ya think u r?

there's nothing conceptually better than rock n roll - John Lennon

  • i hate the fuckin rap!

jay-z what the fuck do you think you are??

there's nothing conceptually better than rock n roll

  • Since when the fuck does Jay Z get to say which festivals he headlines you ass? Obviously the guys that run the festival chose him, so if you're gonna be pissed at anyone be pissed at them. Plus, people can say Hip Hop is dead all they want but rock comes first in my heart and I know that rock died years ago, no one even knows how to play a fuckin solo anymore

  • yea, you keep thinking that.

    Listen, everybody hates you.

  • im british and agree with you lol

the people here have no idea how to appreciate real fuckin musical genious!! or any kind of genious for tht matter! fuck em!

  • And all the songs you've made this year are rubbish and everyone is asking why he does this. Becuzz Jay-Z is gonna be rapping at 80 and after all he stole from Biggie Smalls.

  • Becuz Jay-Z you don't really want to know why I hate you so. Jay-Z we hate it when you rap you sound like crap

  • are you even a rap fan...smh

"do you just listen to music or do you skim through it" if your not a rap fan don't judge rappers especially legends like Jay-Z

  • I have nothing against rap music. Jay-Z takes an innocent comment from Noel Gallagher and blows it up for publicity. It makes me sick. Noel even said it was overblown, yet Jay-Z does some stupid video, and a horrible immitation of Wonderwall. I also hate rappers like Nas who take stupid things as racist FOR PUBLICITY.

  • gtfoh Noel is a bitch for sayin that and Jay-Z made him look dumb as hell. and don't even talk about another legend like NaS just cause of one publicity stunt that ain't go through.

  • and soooooooooo who is blowin' stuff up? LOL

The wonderwall performance was a JOKE. lawd

  • Becuzzz Jaaay-ZZZ will be making music til he's eiightty and after all he stole from Biggiee Smallls

  • i didn't know jay z made youtube poops

  • They should do a colab. It would sell like hot cakes.... after all the contervercy etc it would be incredible & would maybe hel Oasis break the US. I dunno just a thought!

  • JAY-Z FUCKIN NO CHANCE LMAOOOOOOOOO

  • I want noel to do a jay z rap

  • nice vid man

  • Dont agree sorry, live in the town, been going since I was a nipper. It's always been a diverse multi-national event. Not specific to UK rock bands etc. 2 of the 3 headliners this year = US.

Flippin good they were too ;)

I totally understand that people want the rock element to dominate Glasto, times change tho.

  • Music is just that, its music, people take it far too fuckin serious. They like to stereotype genres. The best thing to come out of music is it unites people like Aerosmith & Run DMC. it brings people of different backgrounds together. just because you dont relate to rap doesnt mean its shit & the same applies for rock. people fear what they dont understand hate what they cant conquer, its just the theory of man.

  • You gotta be a bad mother fucka to draw criticism from a rock band when you're a rapper.Rapper or whatever jay just rocked that shit bitch!!

  • "No, I'm not 'avin ip-opp at Glosten-bree, no way mon!".

  • I like Jay-Z, but come on, lets face it, everyones too P.C and he shouldn't of headlined a rock festival. THE END.

  • jay fucking it's just like smoky smok who knows smoky smok hhhhhhh well say dude well say

  • Its not as rock festival....

  • Always been mainly british rock to pop acts.

  • noel is right who the fuck wants to listen to that fucking hip hop shite all that music preaches is running around in massive gangs killing innocent people stabbing somebody cause they came to there street corner its fucking discraseful its the sort of music that those shit head gangs who stab people in london listen to that shit hip hop is the lowest form of well i hesitate to even call it music its fucking discusting y know fuck off back to american you twat and leave glastonbury to real music

  • you're very open minded, I see

  • andytotts

You say the town is full of hippies etc...

You've never been to the town (Glastonbury) obviously. I live there, where do you live? I would bet you've got more theives, 'wannabee' hippies & who are you to talk about deprived backgrounds? You're obviously a little deprived yourself.

Please, come to our town & introdice yourself, you wont find any 'hippies' etc...

    Muppet.

  • I said for the period of the festival it's a magnet for thieves & hippies you mucking fuppet. I know it's not full of hippies. I like Glastonbury greatly - it's a great place, I love walking through the streets and feeling safe & spending time by the massive pond in the abbey, reading the paper ipod on and chilling etc. I cant stand the festival anymore. And yes there are an imense amount of thieves were I live. Such are the joys of living in a large city that I really dont care for.

  • My oppologies, I thought you were talking about the town, plus I was drunk as a skunk so probably didn't read it properly ;)

  • Jay Z?? Music for eleven year olds, you'll be hammering on about The Tweenies next, he's fucking shite!!

  • this vid rocks-is this the first time any hip-hop has been at Glastonbury? Seems to me thats the problem, along with Gallaghers attitude

  • Here's an eBay auction for the Crooks&Castles X Mosley Tribes Castellano Sunglasses Jay-Z was wearing for the performance!

search for this number in eBay:

    ebay item number 330253612401

  • Jay Z shot himself in the foot with this; 1. Because he gave Oasis a shit load of free publicity and a shit load of increased record sales, and 2. He made himself look like a twat when the biggest reaction of the night came from Wonderwall

  • He didn't shoot himself in the foot.

He had 90 to 100 thousand people screaming his name at the end of the gig.

The biggest reaction you could hear was to Wonderwall because it's a lot easier for a bunch of drunken people to sing Wonderwall than it is to sing 99 Problems.

Plus you're forgetting that Jay had 4 songs re-renter the singles chart & his album sales went up hugely too, so everyone made money in the end.

  • *re-enter

  • Who cares who plays at Glastonbury! Its a fucking shithole of a festival, full of stoned fucking hippies, thieves, students & "cool" moms & dads who want to watch the interesting "rap" artist from a deprived background so they have somthing "fabulous" to talk about at Tarquin & Cressida's next Dinner party. Oasis are shit and still working - Jay Z is pritty good for a retired dude.

  • I assume you've never been to Glastonbury, as if you had you wouldn't be spouting this crap. Glastonbury is by far the best festival in the UK, if not the world.

  • You assume incorrectly. I've been to Glasto several times, festival & non-festival time of the year. The town it's self is lovely. A quite special and pleasant place. In my opinion the festival is shite. It's a personal opinion - so dont dismiss it. Just accept that it's different. Surely as a glasto vetran you can accept different? My opinion is that for the festival period the place is a magnet for thieves (tent robbed 3 times in 4 glasto's)hippies(scum) and trendies(massivescum!)

  • yeh honestly i kno hip hops all nigga dis nigga that n all but every once in a while u can pull out a good one e.g jay-z.noel is a brain ded cunt whos up his own hole is euphoric on old glory days there new album was shite! they havent been gud since they had the old band members.jay-z has the right 2 play there one man broke his balls conquering the world all oasis cud fuckin do is europe y? cause dere dumb cunts with actually 0 showmanship.

  • Jay-Z sings "Today is gonna be the day that I stick my middle finger back to you. By now you should have realised that Jigga is not a fool. I dont believe that anybody sings the way I do, but I gotchu now. And all around the crowd is singing and smiling."

    Jay Z rules... haha

  • "IM" not having JayZ @Glastonbury?

when did it become Gallastonbury btw??

    heres Noelle gallagher.

Heres the box Jay Z knocked him out of!!

you've had ya day a long time ago noelle, ya sound like one of those old f*cks in a pub talkin about "in MYYYY day"... sad really :(

funny how ppl like a song/band and then buy into EVERY4kn thing they say!

  • Ps I still love ya Noel! Keep the comments comin! I love all this banter!

Oasis album is out November I think, will be good one ;)

But to all die hard Oasis fans, keep an open mind! I met alot ofOasis fans who were goin to Jay's set just to boo it, they all loved it.

It's all music, like it or love it ;)

  • hahaha Hova killed me with this intro

But shoot I dont see what was the big issue...get with the times, 2008 and hip-hop is still dominating the world...its everywhere and its just so happens that Jigga is one of those famous one to go global.

    Its a business and Jay-Z=dollars

  • You hit the nail on the head. £$ is all it is. ;) I'd do the same if I was in that position!

  • So glad that i have finally found this video, it is such a sick video. The place was so electric it was unbelievable I have never experienced anything like it and when the screen went fuzzy at the the start of the video you knew that something special was about to occur. Brilliant. I really like the fact that the there was just so many random faces in the video. Ian Paisley? Nicholas Anelka? Pure jokes!

  • u should have added S. performance
