When i speak of a headliner, it is the band/artist that is the main attraction of that years festival. This year was Jay-Z. Unfortunately he wasn't that big of an attraction (yes he had a big crowd, but compared to the crowd Oasis, or Coldplay would of gotten it was not that impressive).
As for Panic at the Disco/Kings of Lion/The verve I thought they were all crap....all in all my worst Glastonbury to date.

When i speak of a headliner, it is the band/artist that is the main attraction of that years festival. This year was Jay-Z. Unfortunately he wasn't that big of an attraction (yes he had a big crowd, but compared to the crowd Oasis, or Coldplay would of gotten it was not that impressive).
As for Panic at the Disco/Kings of Lion/The verve I thought they were all crap....all in all my worst Glastonbury to date.

Since when the fuck does Jay Z get to say which festivals he headlines you ass? Obviously the guys that run the festival chose him, so if you're gonna be pissed at anyone be pissed at them. Plus, people can say Hip Hop is dead all they want but rock comes first in my heart and I know that rock died years ago, no one even knows how to play a fuckin solo anymore

I have nothing against rap music. Jay-Z takes an innocent comment from Noel Gallagher and blows it up for publicity. It makes me sick. Dont agree sorry, live in the town, been going since I was a nipper. It's always been a diverse multi-national event. Not specific to UK rock bands etc. 2 of the 3 headliners this year = US.

I said for the period of the festival it's a magnet for thieves & hippies you mucking fuppet. I know it's not full of hippies. I like Glastonbury greatly - it's a great place, I love walking through the streets and feeling safe & spending time by the massive pond in the abbey, reading the paper ipod on and chilling etc. I cant stand the festival anymore. And yes there are an imense amount of thieves were I live. Such are the joys of living in a large city that I really dont care for.

The biggest reaction you could hear was to Wonderwall because it's a lot easier for a bunch of drunken people to sing Wonderwall than it is to sing 99 Problems.
Plus you're forgetting that Jay had 4 songs re-renter the singles chart & his album sales went up hugely too, so everyone made money in the end.

You assume incorrectly. I've been to Glasto several times, festival & non-festival time of the year. The town it's self is lovely. A quite special and pleasant place. In my opinion the festival is shite. It's a personal opinion - so dont dismiss it. Just accept that it's different. Surely as a glasto vetran you can accept different? My opinion is that for the festival period the place is a magnet for thieves (tent robbed 3 times in 4 glasto's)hippies(scum) and trendies(massivescum!)

So glad that i have finally found this video, it is such a sick video. The place was so electric it was unbelievable I have never experienced anything like it and when the screen went fuzzy at the the start of the video you knew that something special was about to occur.
