If the placement is based on the preliminary, I believe there was no politics in the competition. Ukraine, Philippines, Venezuela, and China are the best performers on stage. As for Malaysia, I like Debby but I think she overhyped. There was nothing special about her performance in the preliminary. She did not come out looking fresh and vibrant (unlike philippines and venezuela) and she was walking too fast. For me, she doesn't really deserve to be in the top 5 if the basis is prelim performance

@TheKingkenshin Actually, these judges came to judge after the preliminary. So, from the preliminary, there were seperate judges, not the same ones. So, you failed your theory technically but I do agree that Miss Malaysia should have been chosen as one of top 15.

3) She looked gorgeous during her gown walk, but the leg pose she made possibily lowered her score. Why?? Becuase she looks so graceful in that gown with that hair but that muscled leg just killed everything.
It's sad to not see her get top 16 in the Miss Universe Competition. I think she will if she did these three things:
1) Her hair is too thick - She should have kept it straight like she did in 2007 during Miss World Malaysia. She looks great in straight hair, not permed.

@TheKingkenshin Actually, these judges came to judge after the preliminary. So, from the preliminary, there were seperate judges, not the same ones. So, you failed your theory technically but I do agree that Miss Malaysia should have been chosen as one of top 15.

1) Her hair is too thick - She should have kept it straight like she did in 2007 during Miss World Malaysia. She looks great in straight hair, not permed.
