to confirm...keith did have double base pedals when they played at leeds university in 1970. there is a short black and white clip on the dvd 'Amazing journey:story of the who'. in the clip they're playing 'christmas' from the album tommy and keith has his silver, premier drum kit, complete with two base drums :)

there would have to be a Drum set up with a lot more than 4 Pads and 1 Kick in order to atleast somewhat Emmulate Keith Moons proper Drumming

I do agree that some rolls require more toms, but how would you chart that with the "Moon" difficulty?

I'd bet (because this has happened to me while drumming on a real set) that because he has an actual kick trigger, he rolls up the leg so that the beater doesn't get caught in the pant leg. Unless you're wearing really tight jeans it's a pretty common occurrence for anyone who keeps their foot really loose on the pedal.
