@kaeli8 There is a subtle difference in the bridge between conception and deception. this has the the same bridge as deception not conception. Which is Miles version 's not conception.
Wonderful hommige to George, who recently left us. The best version of Conception is "The last Great Concert - Vol.2 - Straight from the Heart" Album (I think there is a CD of it) with NDR Hannover Radio Big Band - April 28th, 1988 - directed by Dieter Glawisching. Also people like Herb Geller, Bill Norris, J. Schroeder adding to the phenominal concert. This was the first time I had heard "Conception". Thanks George for composing, and Chet for playing it.
Had I only known of Chet Baker when I was 1st-chair trumpet in my high school jazz band, I would have pursued a music career. People told me then that I should, but I did not know "where" to go. Chet is by far the most versatile player I have ever heard. He would have been my inspiration then; he is my inspiration now.
