  • i disagree very strongly, the film is perfection.

but the music is way to modern, i dont know what its called but ive heard it so many times on different games, and films, there are absolutly no films around as uniqueue as forbbiden planet on the thermin, you only have to hear seconds of it like jaws and you know instantly what film it is

  • Outstanding. This trailer you've created caused a new excitement for this all time classic movie favorite of mine. Thank you for taking the time.

  • RIP LESLIE NIELSON ):

  • Best Forbidden Planet Trailer ever. Good Job.

  • Okay. That was frakkin' awesome!

  • Very well done! You've won the praise of a person who usually dislikes this sort of rehash.

  • Great trailer one of my favourite fan trailers. But only to nitpick, it's hardly a "teaser" trailer.

  • Excellent!

    Very Professional!

My favorite Science Fiction film of all time....

  • Well done in many ways, but this is more a summary than a teaser. You guve away way too much including the main plot kicker. You need to hint, allude, and tease, not explain. Also, the generic braindead hohum standard music reduces this piece to a commodity. I dare you to do something with the original electronics score which is the most daring soundtrack in Hollywood movie history and worthy of use if for no other reason.

  • Nice Job

  • very nice work. In addition this movie is a marvel of the old Hollywood. This movies are classics along with Time Machine, 20,000 leagues under the sea. I wish they made movies like this now a days. Once again wonderful job of Creating your trailer in modern style and simply because of the material available This movie holds its own ground. Fantastic Work.

  • Very professional, liked it alot

  • Beautiful and exciting! Wish we'd had a promo half this exciting when I worked at TNT and broadcast the movie! I hope you're thinking about a career in promotion -- you know what works!

  • I took about eight hours to complete I plan on doing a day the earth stood still when I get some free time, but I am glad you liked it.

  • Fuckin' awesome!

  • Brilliant !

  • one word: CLASSIC! ^^

  • A superb re-editing job! Done this way, the update makes Forbidden Planet look as exciting as any Star Wars movie. Thanks for the extreme (but very respectful) makeover of this timeless classic. The images are still stunning, you've unearthed a new, exciting rhythm hidden underneath.

  • Very well said thank you

  • Fucking genius...

  • Phantastic Update! There are only a few old classic movies that are really timeless like "Forbidden Planet", but the original trailers of this movies mostly aged a lot and looking often ridiculous today.

  • I have been watching this movie since '73 and i'll tell you that this is THE BEST re-editing

job I have ever seen. I (very) rarely record other people's work, but I had to make a copy of this and i'll keep it for life.

    Very well done. .

  • Thank you so much for the comment if you liked this one I just finished a Wizard of Oz one on my page too.

  • Brilliant, well done!.

If i may make 1 small observance......... you showed the monster, Speilburg says you should never show your monster till you have to. the suspense is in the wondering what the monster looks like. as soon as you show it the suspense is gone.

  • True but in the story the monster that is shown isn't really the monster it is the Dear Docter's subconscious.

  • You are correct, so in reality the monster could take on whatever form he wished.

  • Fantastic trailer! This is one of my all time favorite classic science fiction films.

  • Good Editing job..Thanks for making this vid...Do more if you get time...Does any one else think the should remake this film ?

  • It would certainly be interesting if the film were remade. However, Just before Christmas 2008 they are releasing the new The Day the Earth Stood Still, and the subtext plotline about global warming, and Keanu Reeves as Klaatu sounds ridiculous. It should all start with good writing of which there is very little in Hollywood today. Having said that, casting for a remake would be interesting..Anthony Hopkins as Morbius!

  • ...MorPHEus ^^

  • Yep don't like it wish they would just forget about it after watching the trailer of the new Day the Earth Stood Still movie

  • Hey good job ! Your editing was terrific!

  • Thank you for all of you comments I agree this is one of my favorite vids i have done and you are correct i did use the t-rex and batman begins theme but they works so well together.

    Brian

  • actually, that is one of my favorite movies, I am amazed at how different the feel of your trailer is from the pace of the film, good editing to make that happen!

  • I love that composition, it's from Batman Begins isn't it?

  • Soooo cool !!!

    The best sf movie ever!

  • Nice job!

  • GREAT editing!!

  • Stunning bit of editing; ditto, bravo!

  • grew up with this movie and Day the earth stood still of course is next on my list. But thanks for the comments.

  • TDTESS is my no.1 movie of all time (the only one I have 2 DVD releases of so that must mean something, eh?) so I'll look forward to it. What about 'This Island Earth' and 'Them'? worth considering.

  • Bravo! You've made a really cool & new view on this classic film. Thanks for your effort.

  • The Music is the main theme to Batman Begins

  • Great modern twist on a classic. Where's the music from?

  • Nice modern hommage to a great film!

  • Well done! One of my favorite classic sci fiction movies!
