The flashlight technique is not reliable evidence...there are too many possible explanations as to what makes the flashlight "flash" passing heavy traffic, slight earth tremors that humans don't usually feel...even someone off camera walking about or otherwise manipulating the light. No I don't suspect fraud with Grant and Jason but I don't trust the flashlight.

@GhostMediaReborn i doubt Grant and Jason have final cut on the episodes. It would be easy to edit out the randomness and dead time in the flashlight test. I don't think that what we see in the episode is anything close to how that event happened in real time. It is in the best interest of the SyFy channel to make these events seem more fantastic than they are

@lezwitch A push button flashlight will not turn on from such a small tremor. They also have an instrument that can detect any vibration on the floor, so those tremors should always set-off the vibration reader.

@shiroryu01 You don't understand how the "Flashlight Technique" works. The switch is left in the "on" position and then the lens part is unscrewed just enough so that the light goes off until some slight vibration causes it to make contact and come ON. As for the vibration detector...yes it would detect the vibration...assuming they were stupid enough to tell the viewers what they were doing.

@cyndee65 im pretty sure, and they have done it on quite a few occasions, that if it is possible to be heard on the audio they have without making it louder then they drop the music otherwise they wait until evidence review
