Sure you're right, it sounds to me too (and especially despair ridden have for me a very nice, bluesy touch, btw ..) - but this genre-dispute is kind of redundant. music knows no race is, music is a feeling.

Well, Sentenced was found as Finnish death metal band in 1989...

Ofc not as "Hardcore" melodeath, but as a lighter and more nice to listen than some other melodeath.... Matter of opinion really.

@drago494 i know and i see your point, but the sound of Sentenced is far away from the original doom sounding like black sabbath, my dying bride and even from the gothic/doom type o negative. its a unique sound, which is neither doom nor gothic but something else.. its Sentenced ;)
