Esta película la tengo en original en mi biblioteca, es una de mis favoritas, la actuación de Fonda y De Niro son fantásticas, ojala que las personas que la vean valoren este amor que nace poco a poco, y lo mejor, que gratitud de hombre a esa mujer, la recompensó, estos son valores que se han perdido.

This is one of those rare movies and shows how people really fall in love through all the single gestures made toward each other that add up to real caring, support, appreciation and loyalty. Mostly we see couples fall into bed first off, but this story builds on exactly how love grows. It was excellently crafted and did not get the acclaim it should have.

This movie is so Awesome on so many levels. The friendship they had even before the romance started. The feeling the movie gave about how easy and how hard it is to be illiterate; I felt Stanleys pain with his father, his frustration, his fear about learning, and Iris's strength and "no nonsense" personality, yet vulnerable and needed Stanley just as much as he needed her. they don't make em like this anymore

@KennyBlueEyes I think the relationships of the characters are "equally" important as the education point. The fact that she took the time to teach him before they were romantically involved showed a genuine caring of one person to another "friendship" then it blossomed into a romance. Women pick up on this very easily while men do not.
