  • @bjroma Windows 7 does support gadgets. Right-click on your desktop and choose the "Gadgets" option.

  • These are pretty cool, thanks XD

  • @wenny0119 Which file exactly were you trying to download, and what's the problem?

  • i found it!!!

  • Nice but how do i change the spectrum analyzer?? i mean to change to the final fantasy 13 spectrum analyzer background that you are using?

  • @ZYOS117 That FF13 logo is already included in the "Anime - 3 sizes" theme.

  • @AnimeThemeSidebar I can't find it =(

  • @ZYOS117 It's one of the 4:3 background. Keep changing it until you see it.

  • :O This is sooooo cool :O too bad my experience with animating anything at all is below 0 xD I don't believe I would even be able to understand your animation language xD

  • I WANT IIIIITTTT!!!!!

  • THAT'S SO COOL

  • I will have to actually take a look at your animation to know what is happening. Upload it somewhere if possible.

  • Yeah. Basically you break the "bright" version into parts and the gadget will overlay them over the "background" (idle) pic to create the animated effects (by changing their opacity). Things should be pretty self explanatory if you actually take a look at those image parts used in my FF3 Lightning animation. The "animate.js" used is pretty simple too.

  • Which part(s) of the animation making process did you have problems with? The basic idea is to design an "idle" state (by removing lighting, darkening, etc) and an "active" state (sometimes it's simply the original pic untouched) of the source picture, and then break the "active" picture into parts so that each part can be animated independently.

  • FFXIII is a really awesome game! Just completed it, and must say it beats all the other series. To get the whole game, visit DOWNLOADFFXIII [dot] TK

  • EY make a video and teach people how to do this you have like 20 videos but not one on how to do it

  • There is a video tutorial showing how this kind of animations can be made.

    /watch?v=vbBn8xetVzs

From now and on, I will try to include some basic info on how each featured animation is made. Some recent videos already include such info.

  • @AnimeThemeSidebar how can i live w/ out you <3

  • why cant i find the damn location of my spectrum analyzer on windows 7!! i also want to change its background..

  • this garget for window what version???

  • .......ok then..Um, where do you find animated videos---pictures? I mean, I have one from ff7, its Genesis throwing fire @ Sephiroth when the 3 friends R training--its set to my desktop, but where do I find more?

  • very cool!

  • Your spectrum analyzer looks different. Where can I get the one your using.

  • It's just a FF13 logo PNG image that I put into the Spectrum Analyser installed folder and it will show up. You can use whatever PNG image of proper size. Just put it into the corresponding "backgrounds" folder under the "themes\Anime - 3 sizes" sub folder of Spectrum Analyser. Just try it yourself, and you should get the idea.

  • First of all I must say you did a great job. Second I would like to ask you if you can put it in steps on how to change my Spectrum Analyser image. I don't really understand it the way you have putted it on youtube, nor do I see any help on the site. Thank you in advance.

  • First of all, you need to locate the install path of the Spectrum Analyser gadget. If you are using Vista, the path should be something like the following.

    C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar\Gadgets\AT_SpectrumAnalyserv1.1.1.2_r16.gadget

Under the "themes\Anime - 3 sizes" sub folder, you can find the places where the gadget background images are stored. Just add you own images there. Allowed sizes are 130x130, 130x98, 130x65, in PNG format.

  • Thanks it works now. However could you please tell me where you got that FFXIII transparent logo from or even better can you send it to my mail? I will send you a private msg with my mail in it. Thanks in advance again.

  • I just found out that theres already a FFXIII logo in the background folders, lol, sorry for the trouble and once again thanks for your help! your Animated desktop is awesome:)

  • ..Thats.. Just so pure awesome.. you always amaze me every time you come up with something new
