Im voting Obama for his social stance. BUT there is NO way that the powers would take the losses for the mess they made. There is absolutely NO way that they are doing this to spare us the average person. And oh YES its going to get worse for us regular people. As if constantly rising prices and weak dollar havn't about ruined us already. BTW Im enjoying all your videos, I dont always agree but keep up the work.
If you really care about Barak Obama and the Democratic party (I don't) the last thing you want to do is vote Democratic in 2008. Why would you want ownership of this debacle?
If I were one of the major party candidates for President right now I'd be doing everything possible to get caught with a dead hooker (preferably a male one).
you do have the right, you are a human like the rest of us. i don't believe in nationality nations are just areas marked with imaginary lines we do have to do what is best for the world.
"deaf to what he says" LoL,wow the arrogance in this video is staggering. What exactly does he say metabob, let's reference the multitude of rally speeches that revel in abstraction. And do his policies get to the heart of inflation? Please.
But you're right, he is better than McCain and you're even more correct when you say "this election is a referendum on the quality of the voting public"..When people like Ron Paul or Kucinich don't win a single state in the primaries, the quality sucks.
I am so shocked that after eight years and no real success or good has come from the white house that anyone would give the power back to the same party that supported Bush 100% and got him elected twice. They couldn't even find a better choice now. Says how bad the party is and out of touch with the American people. I hope many will take pause and think about the past years and the news that hasn't been so good. It was under Clinton many times; not the best, but far far better. BOJO in Nov 08
A vote for Obama is a vote for leaving the office of President vacant in favor of Congressional rule.
In my memory, Obama is the least qualified candidate that the Democrats have ever offered. If you disagree, please remind me of a less qualified Democratic standard bearer.
To summarize what jwoodswce says: Give the Republicans more power! They did this to the economy because of deregulation, just deregulate it more and put social security into the mix and the world will be fine!!!
The best qualified candidate is the one that doesn't side with people who ripe a countries economy to shreds.
...Correct me if I'm wrong but you seem to dismiss the two parties' economic policies a priori as it's more important to you to "punish" the Republican party for fucking up America in the last decade..? Don't you think it would be more pertinent for US citizens to choose their vote based on who's going to put forward a better solution? Though this is probably not the Republicans you should be focussing on that as it's actually important to the country, not a sense of retribution.
The people that piss me off the most are those who say, "I don't like ANY of them..I'm not voting". MORONS! Lesser of to evils! Make sure McCain DOESN'T get in!!
"If you have selfish ignorant citizens, you're gonna get selfish ignorant leaders. So maybe, it's not the politicans who suck... maybe it's something else that sucks around here, maybe it's the public.
There's a nice campaign slogan here, "The public sucks, FUCK HOPE."
Why don't we do what Warren Buffet did, purchase preferred shares with 10% interest?
That way the companies could get the cash they need and we would be safe.
Buffet didn't want to mess around with the toxic assets, why should we want them in our back yard? Probably the politicians are wanting to selectively dish out the 700B for political favor.
stop the republican party, stop the neo-conservatives.
all they have been doing in the past is to start useless wars to distract from the real problems. this brought you the cold war, vietnam and iraq. now its time to fix the real problems.
if you vote for the republicans again, the united states will become a third world country. you need to really solve problems now, and the republicans are too incompetent to do it. the democrats will at least try to improve the situation.
don't forget to add in the people who vote for third party people... when the race can be this close... those people don't get how BAD it could get... or acknowledge how 'bad' it has been
"It really hasn't gotten bad at all, in comparison to how it could get"
- Concerning american lifestyle, maybe. But you've done a great job in foreign countries: 946000 to 1120000 dead civilians in Iraq as a result of your invasion. That's about 20% Holocaust, which is considered the greatest crime ever committed. 657 nameless people in Guantanamo going through physical and psychological torture every day. Dozens of countries eroding their human rights and constitutions because of "Terrorism".
Continuing: So, what exactly are you talking about? Russia dropping fission bombs on europe, Iran invading Israel - And the US in the middle of everything?
Or do you mean that some americans may have a sick feeling in their stomach while holding their hands on their hearts during the pledge of allegiance, my "god" how terrible that would be.
Note: This is no personal attack on you, since you obviously didn't support any of those crimes committed by the US government. It's for people that DID.
ok, I'll agree we need a change. Especially in the House and Senate. But Obama?? Granted if I end up voting I'll probably vote for him hoping he's the "lesser of 2 evils". Because I'd rather vote 3rd party but I'd hate to feel like I wasted my vote by doing so. Otherwise, Congress needs to be thrown out on there azz and only the ones that show they've been doing there job should be allowed to stay.
An average 18 year old straight out of high school goes to college and upon graduation owes $30,000+ in student loans before they even take their first steps into the real world. They then accumulate 30 more years of debt just to put a roof over their head. Not only are these loans backed by absolutely nothing the bankers charge interest on this fake, and invisible money. They want the same people they kicked to the curb to bail them out. This guy did us a favor by jumping in front of a train.
Really? I don't seem to remember Obama even mentioning this little pickle:
w w w .brillig[dot]com/debt_clock/
After all, haven't the Democrats contributed to it over the years as well? Having said that, anything is better than the McCain/Palin comedy routine. They really are a joke, a fucking terrifying joke.
I read you loud and clear. And I know since the bullshit wars which have killed 4000 US troops started, the debt has sky rocketed due to excessive borrowing to fund it.
My point is that the Democrats will not address this problem due to the fact that they support further government growth = more loans = more debt.
First of all I want to agree with you before I sound like I am disagreeing. I too think that the Repubs. don't deserve the top spot based on what has been happening to us down in the taxpayers trenches. My problem is that the chopping block has plenty of room for more heads than one. I feel ALOT of our elected sat around on their stacks of money on both sides of the aisle and watched our 401k evaporate before our eyes. I'm disgusted with the whole bunch. Greedy rich getting bailed out, and us??
You mean Ron Paul...

Unfortunately, very often, people's votes are swayed by seemingly the most irrelivent of factors.
I fear that many Americans could vote Republican, things get worse and they still blame "Liberals".
Your current government has really f****d the country up on just about every level.

Not nearly as much. They're about 10% responsible, while the Republicans are 90% responsible.
I tired of getting people to understand that there IS in fact a difference between the two parties.
It's NOT 50-50!
It's NOT six of one, half dozen of the other!
As long as people don't understand this, we will relive the same nightmare over and over.
