They were successful in driving the Soviets out and then used those tactics and armaments to take over large parts of Afghanistan and bring them under their hardline version of Islam. We're in Afghanistan for the poppy fields, so the CIA can continue to sell drugs to the American people and incarcerate them for it. its all about power and has nothing to do with religion.

this video reminds me on skateboarding scene in serbia - wars,poor life standard,conservative people with no undestanding for anything different ,and skateboarding as some kind of drug that makes you run away from reality.I was ridin skateboard while NATO and USA bobms rained down around me,with walkman and phones in my ears...

Wow, amazing...Skate boarding has giving these children something to believe in, and opening doors for their future... Its touching; I love the determination of the little skater girl:) We are so lucky in the western world, yet we take if for granted everyday...So isolated in our bubble, but we have the power to make a difference..

@theblueroom99 You know what else that needs to be taken down from its high-horse? Religion, no matter which one it is. All to many people hide their cruel actions behind religion, and yes they get away with it. "my religion gives me the right to do this" / "i can't do that, its against my religion"
Religion has no place in Laws or rules, these story book rules was made for a completely different era of man, we are more complex these days, and the teachings of religion does not cut it anymore.
