@Rmantvg To be more specific, pulling the hammer back and then pulling the trigger to drop the hammer is called single action, whereas pulling the trigger while the hammer is forward (which works the hammer back before letting it go) in one motion is called double action. Single action has a much lighter and shorter trigger pull than double action, which means that accurate shooting is far easier, but at the expense of speed that is offered by firing it double action.
@starvinmarvin74 It is still the only way to get a metal revolver for under $500 or so, and it is a lot of fun to use, so I'd say that it could be worth it depending on what you want out of it. If you want skirmishability and accuracy, consider a Tanaka revolver instead. For target shooting and messing around, these are a lot of fun.
@GregD6699 Well, since the coke can was already empty and none was wasted, and seeing that a lot of people (for some reason) have watched this video, I think using around 20 cents worth of CO2 was more than worth wasting to film it. Seems like a non-issue to me
i got this gun! honestly all i do is run around behind the enemies during matches then i do some Dirty Harry impressions. " I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots or only five? Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is fires 500 fps, the most powerful airsoft handgun in the world, and would make you bleed, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk? "
@airsoftnweapons101 I'd recommend it for something to mess around and plink with, it's the most fun revolver I've had for sure, but not if you would plan to use it in an Airsoft skirmish.
@nmsfabio Well, any 6mm Airsoft gun CAN shoot those 6mm paintballs, but they are poorly made and all of the designs out there have a major flaw. Some explode in the barrel or when being loaded into the gun (especially with an FPS like this I can imagine that) some leave residue in the barrel, some gunk up the mechanisms, and with every kind I've seen, even if you are lucky enough to get one out of the barrel it won't go straight because of the poor manufacturing.
@phi1s0n Doesn't matter to me then. Still thanks for the heads up, pretty cool to hear that a store would actually use this video to demonstrate the gun.
@xxAIRSOFTKINGXX1 The range is pretty good, but since it does not have a hop-up you must compensate for the drop much more than most other Airsoft guns. It is full metal and I have never had any reliability problems with the gun. Because of the impracticality of shells and the unsafe velocity at any kind of practical range, I can not recommend this for skirmishing.
i ordered that gun and i was wondering how you where able to remove the orange tip without damaging the gun cause i know the orange tip is connected to the front sight
@ravenclanx Well, there is no way to do it without damaging it, so once the tip is off it won't be going back on. The easiest way is to just take a wrench or pair of pliers and snap the tip right off. It is cheap alloy metal and will break off fairly cleanly and very easily. The cleanest way is to take the piece that comprises the front sight and the tip off of the gun entirely and saw the tip section off, and would also be pretty simple to do.
Do you have to pull the hammer back for every shot? I've been looking at the 6" revolver on Evike for $105 and it seems like a pain to pull it back for every shot.
@UndeadZombieHorror No, it is also double action, meaning pulling the trigger when the hammer is forward will pull the hammer back and fire in one motion. This does however mean a significantly heavier trigger pull than firing it single action, pulling the hammer back manually each time.
@MarshallBMathersFTW All I did was take pliers and snap the protruding pot metal tip right off. To be a bit neater about it, you can remove the piece from the barrel to cut it off just by removing the screw holding it in and disassembling it.
This is one of the original models of the WG revolvers; they did not have any markings on the barrel in the past, it seems they have only recently started with that.
@carhead2311 Well, there are metal 6mm BBs made by a few companies, but they are notorious for damaging inner barrels (as well as being stupidly unnecessary.) But I think you're referring to 4.5mm pellet gun BBs, in which case, no, this can not use them. However, this same company does have a 4.5mm version of this gun, which would primarily use the 4.5mm metal BBs.
@MarshallBMathersFTW Yea, I don't understand why they feel it necessary to specify that a revolver is a "non blowback." How could a revolver be blowback? They are the exact same models between ASGI and Evike, although on Evike it costs $30 less.
@TheSmallfang 12g CO2 cartridges are NOT refillable, and you just replace them when one runs out of gas. I'm not sure how you think a revolver could be "blowback." There is no moving part on a revolver that would move in accordance to the blowback action of a self-loading pistol, so it could never be made into a "blowback."
@brokenplanet1 It's a different kind of sound, more of a pop like you hear in the video. So outdoors it would probably be louder and the sound would travel further, but indoors the reverberations from the sound of a GBB would make it louder. But honestly I can't say, because I never thought about it like that.
@brokenplanet1 It's loud for an airsoft gun, but nowhere near a real gun. It makes a nice pop and would probably get you noticed if that means anything.
@Scyerf The shells drop in very easily, no trouble at all. But you're still loading them one at a time, so it is much faster to use a speed loader. One speed loader comes with the gun anyway.
@jackdaripper369 I don't see why it wouldn't fit into a universal drop-leg, but if you have more than the 4" model, make sure the bottom of the holster is open so that the barrel can hang out the bottom.
@AlexBeckproductions Single action is where you pull the hammer back, then pull the trigger to fire. Double action is where you just pull the trigger, and the inner workings of the gun pull the hammer back for you. There is no need to switch between the two modes.
@oogiesmuncher At :38 in the video you can see it firing in double action. I usually fire it in single action though, since it is easier to hold it stable when the trigger pull is so short.
@nerfmaster234 That's not the point of this video at all... and for the record, I don't like this video much, it's pretty tasteless, but it still gets views so I won't be removing it anytime soon.
@101monsterpoe How is this overpriced if the gun is only ~$130? The only revolvers I would consider "better" than this would be the Pegasus system Tanakas or (maybe) the older Marushins, but both of those have many of their own problems as well as the fact that they cost more than this. The simple fact is that this is the only out-of-the box full metal airsoft revolver, and the fact that it works this well for the price is really amazing.
I had a Dan Wesson 4" and it shot 0,2 gram at an ave 465 fps.
It has the same internals/mekanism as the WG revolvers. Think they are made at the same place. The only difference are the markings and outerbarrel shape.
Hey dice pimp remember me?? Well i was the guy asking questions cuz im getting it for my birthday. Its bout to be my birthday and i need to ask a question, what do i think the fps would be with the 4" barrel? Because im going to be using this purely for plinking so high fps is good and so is accuracy but the barrel wobble u mentioned in ur review seems annoyin and im pretty sure the 4" has no(or alot less) wobble considering its quite smaller and that would put less weight on the space inbetween
@debeast123 It would still be well above 350 FPS, I'd guess the 4" model would be around 460 FPS. The wobble is slight, and I'm sure is different model-to-model. But it is so simple to fix, I had forgotten I ever had to fix it at all. Seriously, it takes 5 minutes to fix the barrel wobble forever. So even if it does have a slightly loose outer barrel, it isn't exactly rocket science to fix that.
@Conan117117 No. Loosening the CO2 canister will just compromise its seal and cause gas to leak. It will not have an effect on the FPS, just the number of shots you get out of it.
Is there ANY way to lower the FPS? I'd love to field a 4" version from this series of handgun from WG but... 500 FPS... I can't even go above 400 for my AEGs!
@sheepdog141 No straight forward way, no. The best two ideas I have would be either to put in a weaker hammer spring, or to custom build a green gas reservoir for it. I've seen people attach a green gas fill valve to a plain 12g CO2 canister, I have no idea why that wouldn't work for this.
@LieutenantIDan The 4 inch would have a bit of a safer FPS due to the shorter barrel, and would be much easier to carry on you (unholstering a 6" or 8" one is not a quick draw) so yes, I think it would be a good idea to get the 4" if you are set on buying one of these.
and wut im askin is did u buy it from evike and should i get the black one cuz ill definately pick performance over looks if the black one is v1 and the chrome is v2. Btw sorry for the long paragraphs its just im younger and gettin one for my bday and its not like i can just buy another gun if i get a bad one.
@debeast123 As far as I know, the FPS is the only difference between the two versions of the gun. And if you plan to use it for skirmishing or anything that will have a FPS limit, the black model is a better choice since the chrome model fires so hot. I assume the internal workings are same (save for maybe a stronger spring on the chrome model) so neither version SHOULD be more or less reliable, the only difference is PROBABLY the FPS. I can't guarantee however, I don't have black model.
From ur review u say the chrome version is the version2 model. But on evike the chrome one and the black ones cost the same. And im pretty sure the ver2 would cost more. From looking around on different sites and diff videos i came to a conclusion that ver2's are the ones with the wg logo on the side(not sure if thats right though) Im asking you cuz u seem like u have the most knowledgeon them and im mainly a plinker too so i want one but i want the black one becuz IMO it looks better. plz reply
@debeast123 It was never made clear and as far as I know, nobody ever owned both a black and chrome model so as to directly compare them. Good point about the logo missing on the black model's grip, I never noticed that. Evike's descriptions are notoriously unreliable on details, so a quick glance on ShortyUSA (who actually chrono's each model gun and lists accurate details) shows that the black model shoots 150 FPS slower than the chrome model. [Out of chars, I will continue in second reply]
@AmazingKnifeThrower No; it is single and double action. Single action being where you pull back the hammer before pulling the trigger each shot, double action being where you just pull the trigger and the mechanism in the gun pulls the hammer back and then releases it all in one trigger pull. In the opening of the video, I fire it single action, reload it, then fire it double action to give you an idea of what that is like.
@TwiceVicodin As creepy as that promise is, this gun does look good with the rails attached. All models of this gun (including mine) come with rails you can attach to the upper and/or lower of the barrel. I just prefer it without the rails because it has more of that "classic revolver" sort of look.
Sorry, i was caught in the moment when i made that promise! But hell, if i wasn't in NY (the ONLY state where airsoft is banned!!!), I'd buy three of them, one for both hands and one in my pants :P
@TwiceVicodin Surprisingly, that comment (almost) disturbs me more than the first, though I'm not quite sure why. And that's too bad about living in NY, I think it is extremely unfair of them to do that.
@Triggerhappy647 ...check out my other videos, I've done that a bunch of times, but I had to use empty ones for this video to get an idea of the power of the gun (the first shot anyway, the rest were just for fun.)

DSIRP 1 year ago
@DSIRP Usted puede quitar la punta de color naranja con unas pinzas si usted acaba de romperlo. (Used Google translator, hope that makes sense :P)

Whats its fps?
LaddieGalicia 1 year ago
@LaddieGalicia Around 500 FPS with a .2g BB.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
@FuzzyDicePimp is there any way to lowerthe fps?
Conan117117 1 year ago
@Conan117117 Without doing some custom work, no. You're pretty much stuck with the high FPS.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
Can i loosen the co2 container to lower the fps?
Conan117117 1 year ago
@Conan117117 No. Loosening the CO2 canister will just compromise its seal and cause gas to leak. It will not have an effect on the FPS, just the number of shots you get out of it.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
I got one of these. brought it to an airsoft war and damn this baby os awesome
superphil92 1 year ago
Is there ANY way to lower the FPS? I'd love to field a 4" version from this series of handgun from WG but... 500 FPS... I can't even go above 400 for my AEGs!
sheepdog141 1 year ago
@sheepdog141 No straight forward way, no. The best two ideas I have would be either to put in a weaker hammer spring, or to custom build a green gas reservoir for it. I've seen people attach a green gas fill valve to a plain 12g CO2 canister, I have no idea why that wouldn't work for this.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
I was thinking of getting one of these and using it as a prestigious sidearm on the field. You think i should get the 4 inch for that?
LieutenantIDan 1 year ago
@LieutenantIDan The 4 inch would have a bit of a safer FPS due to the shorter barrel, and would be much easier to carry on you (unholstering a 6" or 8" one is not a quick draw) so yes, I think it would be a good idea to get the 4" if you are set on buying one of these.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
is it co2?
jellybean3264 1 year ago
@jellybean3264 Yep. It uses 12g CO2 cartridges stored in the grip.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
where did you get this and how much was it?

@Pappyboa14 Check out the video description.

spring
bbgunfreak1 1 year ago
@bbgunfreak1 Actually, I recorded this video in December. But thanks nonetheless for the one-word comment.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
@FuzzyDicePimp no the gun is it spring
bbgunfreak1 1 year ago
@bbgunfreak1 I know what you meant, I was just making an ignorant response to your one-word comment. (I hate those.)
It's gas, and runs off of 12g CO2 canisters, which are housed in the grip of the gun.

For skirmishes and plinking around should i get this or the TM hi-capa 4.3?
L1NG4N 1 year ago
@L1NG4N I'd recommend the Hi-capa over this, because it is much more practical and will simply be a better investment in really every way.

@fatflyingninjas Yeah, I haven't been around on there much since the switch to the newest forum iteration though.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
and wut im askin is did u buy it from evike and should i get the black one cuz ill definately pick performance over looks if the black one is v1 and the chrome is v2. Btw sorry for the long paragraphs its just im younger and gettin one for my bday and its not like i can just buy another gun if i get a bad one.
debeast123 1 year ago
@debeast123 As far as I know, the FPS is the only difference between the two versions of the gun. And if you plan to use it for skirmishing or anything that will have a FPS limit, the black model is a better choice since the chrome model fires so hot. I assume the internal workings are same (save for maybe a stronger spring on the chrome model) so neither version SHOULD be more or less reliable, the only difference is PROBABLY the FPS. I can't guarantee however, I don't have black model.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
@FuzzyDicePimp Did u buy urs from evike? Sorry for all the questions
debeast123 1 year ago
@debeast123 Yeah, I bought it from Evike.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
From ur review u say the chrome version is the version2 model. But on evike the chrome one and the black ones cost the same. And im pretty sure the ver2 would cost more. From looking around on different sites and diff videos i came to a conclusion that ver2's are the ones with the wg logo on the side(not sure if thats right though) Im asking you cuz u seem like u have the most knowledgeon them and im mainly a plinker too so i want one but i want the black one becuz IMO it looks better. plz reply
debeast123 1 year ago
@debeast123 It was never made clear and as far as I know, nobody ever owned both a black and chrome model so as to directly compare them. Good point about the logo missing on the black model's grip, I never noticed that. Evike's descriptions are notoriously unreliable on details, so a quick glance on ShortyUSA (who actually chrono's each model gun and lists accurate details) shows that the black model shoots 150 FPS slower than the chrome model. [Out of chars, I will continue in second reply]

is tht semi auto?
AmazingKnifeThrower 1 year ago
@AmazingKnifeThrower No; it is single and double action. Single action being where you pull back the hammer before pulling the trigger each shot, double action being where you just pull the trigger and the mechanism in the gun pulls the hammer back and then releases it all in one trigger pull. In the opening of the video, I fire it single action, reload it, then fire it double action to give you an idea of what that is like.

Have you seen the all railed version of this beauty? check airsoftgi and i promise, you will have wet dreams
TwiceVicodin 1 year ago
@TwiceVicodin As creepy as that promise is, this gun does look good with the rails attached. All models of this gun (including mine) come with rails you can attach to the upper and/or lower of the barrel. I just prefer it without the rails because it has more of that "classic revolver" sort of look.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
@FuzzyDicePimp :)
Sorry, i was caught in the moment when i made that promise! But hell, if i wasn't in NY (the ONLY state where airsoft is banned!!!), I'd buy three of them, one for both hands and one in my pants :P
TwiceVicodin 1 year ago
@TwiceVicodin Surprisingly, that comment (almost) disturbs me more than the first, though I'm not quite sure why. And that's too bad about living in NY, I think it is extremely unfair of them to do that.
FuzzyDicePimp 1 year ago
@Triggerhappy647 ...check out my other videos, I've done that a bunch of times, but I had to use empty ones for this video to get an idea of the power of the gun (the first shot anyway, the rest were just for fun.)
