Lucifer is not the devil/satan. that is a false association propagated by christian institutions to demonize a spiritual movement/ understanding. Lucifer is 'the morning star.' Venus in the dark morning sky, trumpeting the retreat of darkness in the wake of the coming dawn. I also see it as 'bearing light.' To me it represents a lot as far as hidden knowledge and the suppression of such knowledge, as well as the dangers of dogmatic bias.

@ProfessaOFeensworth Not really. Lucifer in Latin means 'light bringer.' It's genderless, and refers to a daily celestial occurrence. It's more etymology than symbolism, where the 'devil' association is entirely baseless and exists b/c of hearsay and passed down rhetoric. If it's meaningless to you that's fine. I personally get a lot from it both as a concept by itself and in light of the Western Mythos that demonizes and subverts its meaning. Lucifer is a beacon of hope in dark times.

I spoke to JEL after a Subtle show in Portland in May and he said "After The Notwist finish their current tour we'll begin recording the next 13&God album." Notwist are touring till like October of this year and Dose and Jel are both on tour in Europe with Subtle till mid summer. So hopefully the next album will be out by summer 2009 at the soonest.
