John Boecklin - Devildriver

John is one of the few drummers on the metal scene who i've noticed a distinct progression in his playing over the past few years. He seriously gets so much better with each album. I've liked this as I've always been on par with him all this time, yet i just listened to the new album and theres some stuff on there that'll force me to get my chops up! Love it.

there totally different music and different drumming styles

john is alot tighter, doesnt improvise hardly ever, writes a drum beat and sticks to it

joey is the total opposite

he writes drums to a song and uses them as a guideline
