  • Don"t take it too seriously kids,of course Gene was the Best White rocker next too Eddy C of the era,Elvis was the best pop singer,That"s all{right}

  • THE KING OF ROCKABILLY GENE VINCENT

    Bacchus Marsh Victoria Australia

Along with all the other GREATS OF ROCKABILLY

Long live Rockabilly Rock N Roll THE MUSIC .. CLOTHS..THE CARS

  • Sound like elvisI dont think GENE was and is a better singer than elvis Thomas Haverstock

  • @MrHaverstock1888 Oh, good grief. You have no stock.

  • @MrHaverstock1888 Gene Vincent is vastly superior than Elvis like a vocalist. All music experts say that Gene Vincent is the best "rockabilly" vocalist.

  • a ltttle mixture of buddy and elvis

  • @ednaandjack no idea about ROCK N ROLL GENE WAS UNICE LIKE ELVIS ,BUDDY,EDDIE,CHUCK, AND ALL GUYS IN THE 50,S ...

  • @ednaandjack Listen to "Little Lover" and "My Heart", there's Gene doing 100% Buddy

  • @TheDJGrandPa Of course, Gene was paying a homage to his friend Buddy Holly! Listen to "Fever", there´s Elvis doing 100% Peggy Lee, including the same arrangements.

  • @willpn100 And in turn, Peggy was maybe doing an homage to Hank Ballard who did the originally, it just keeps going back :P

  • end ant the dot.

  • One thing i loved about Gene was he recorded a wide variety of songs and always seemed to enjoy performing them . One of the true kings of rockabilly superamos31

  • Great song, great performance. He's the real thing for shore!

  • Nobody sings a slow song anywhere near as good as Gene Vincent.Yeah Elvis is good but he's no Gene Vincent.

  • im glad he didnt do a christmas album. because christmas music sucks anyways

  • The same year Elvis went to RCA, Gene went to Capital.. He always .. If Elivs had already done something , Gene would not do it. If so we would have a Christmas Record of Genes today. so sad.

  • You are right .. Gene was singing in virginia, when Elvis sung at Sun in memphis. He did them all his way..

  • what a track i love it the guitar solo is fantastic

  • @9mej Yeaa..it's great!

  • Brilliant.

  • Love this song, One of my favorite Gene Vicent songs.

  • Just great! Don't recall hearing him before.Sure is blues,no doubt! Is he trying to sound like Elvis?

  • @estelle715

why is he trying to sound like Elvis? Elvis learn't his trade from The Johnny Burnette rock n Roll Trio, so was he trying to be like them? of course not, and Gene was not trying to be a clone Elvis. Listen to the way he sings, it is unique.

  • @motorvating I agree with you. Some of those Rocabilly singers souned like they wanted to sound like Elvis.

  • @oramikleepunk No. Elvis sounded like Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra. His vocal was normal. Gene had a "falsetto" that Elvis had not.

  • @motorvating Gene is unique. Robert Plant wanted to sing like Gene Vincent.

  • Just great! Don't recall hearing him before.Sure is blues,no doubt! Is he trying to sound like Elvis?

  • @estelle715 this is the wild man of rock n roll!! should play who slapped john and

    B-I-Bickey-Bi, Bo-Bo-Go :)

  • @paddy6062 B-I-Bickey-BI-BO-BO-GO possibly is the first "heavy metal" of rock history. Top Class rock and roll song.

  • @willpn100 it was a rockin song, but definately not the first. Wouldnt call it heavy metal though, its just rock n roll. calling it metal wouldnt be a compliment.

  • @squirrelnutcased It´s not a compliment. Listen to the song and you´ll hear all elements of "heavy metal" (heavy beat, screams, no saxophone).

  • cliff sure was a great guitarist..5*****

  • His early recordings are by far the best!

  • This song made me happy even though he's singing about wanting the blues to stay away from him lol.

  • sounds wonderfull makes you think frankie blues eyes and bb king
