Sea Shepherdが、日本の大地震を自分達が撮影したビデオで、­SSの好感度を上げる為に編集して使用している。

編集される前の、あるビデオで、Sea Shepherdが街中から高台まで行く道のりとその後を撮影し­­たビデオを見た。そのビデオの中には、街の人々が歩いて避難し­て­いるのが撮影されていた。そのビデオは最初に、二人の日本人­が”­TSUNAMI”と叫んで車に乗る姿と、Sea Shepherdがプリウスに乗るシーンから始まり、工場の白い­­作業服を着た人達と、子供と手をつないで歩く母親が撮影されて­い­た。Sea Shepherdが高台に着くと、何故か現場に居た消防車や海岸­­ばかりを撮影していた。私は、その映像を不思議に思っていた。­時­間が経つとカメラを横にスライドした。そこには津波の濁流に­飲み­込まれている街が撮影されていた。

私が見たあの編集される前のビデオは、今はもう削除されて無くな­­っている。Sea Shepherdは、わざと津波に飲み込まれる街中を撮影しなか­­った。それは自分達が撮影したビデオで、日本人に同情が集まら­な­いようにした為だろう。
