My brother played this song and "Metamorphosis" after listening to 'Selling England By The Pound' by GENESIS in its entirety about 3am one morning in 1973. We felt like we walked into 'The Lord Of The Rings' Trilogy or something. This stuff was pure magic.
so good to hear of someone discovering Curved Air now! I saw them live twice in the early 70s and fell in love with Sonja Kristina, the vocalist.... As did most teenage boys around then...... Their first album is still a masterpiece to my mind, keep on enjoying Curved Air!.
@rubberdu Yeah! Combined with Sonja's voice, the primitive electronics really add to the "sitting in a forest some autumn evening" vibe of the song (i.m.o.!).
Really makes me wish I had my pipe handy just listening back... :D
funny actually i know the drummer florian i speak to him all the time no lie he's really tall and got big fluffy hair lol he's quite funny and likes my art but cool guy in all though
Do! You'll never regret it, and you'll thank me for it! Those tracks I've mentioned could lead to all sorts of imaginative videos on youtube, with the appropriate images or film clips. Enjoy!!
I bought "Air Conditioning" back in the '70s as a special with graphics on the LP(vinyl).Changed it for a regular black vinyl because the sonics were distorted. They played the Hastings Pier when they were endorsed by Yamaha.Everything was see-though apart from Sonjas clothes sadly.Hey-ho.Nice to know they're still going on going on
Wonderful song! I own this album and 'Second Album' and they are brilliant, and will always be a part of the soundtrack of my life. Don't suppose you could put 'World', or 'Bright Summers Day '68' or 'Piece of Mind' or 'Everdance' online here in youtube could you?
This is lovely ... sounds medieval. I can imagine a bard wandering through the streets with his lute singing this back in 1100.

sounds like..."only thecrumbliest flakiest chocolate...tastes like chocolate never tasted before.." also vaguely marillion-ish...but worse
