WTF, THE ENTIRE TRANSFORMERS IDEA IS STUPID AND CHEESY. I mean seriously, Will people STOP making this holy shrine to talking robots with flameboy colors from the 80's? This movie is so much better then the cartoon ya'll brain dead / can't get out of the past if you cant see that. Nostalgia does not = great movie, and thats all the 80's version has going for it. so stfu, let go, see the movie, have fun, and take it for what it is: a war between 2 robot factions on earth.

the action sequences were only good if one removes them from their context, the same applies to the cgi: thats some high end shit i admire the technical value of it, as well as the action sequencing. however, none of it is meaningful, none of it is genious and really thats precisely what the name and licence deserved was a work of genious.

i have seen all of the original transformers and even the original show was cheesetown. But, and that is really why i make the arguement, it was fucking bad ass and the characters were well developed (albeit gay as hell).

i have seen this movie, it is a forced contrivance and utterly pathetic: if anything it is a Waste of the resources and licence which would be better served if they had hired someone good to write a script.

see heres the thing, its not that the cgi isnt of decent quality it is, its the way its done and the way its used, obviously most of the sfx in and of themselves arent cheesy per se, they are actualy quite good but they fail to evoke the story or aesthetic of the original work effectively.

the characters are shit, the dialogue is shit, the cinematography is sub-par.
