If you want to be really straight up, all the moves that I learned for REAL fighting are all not legal in the UFC. Hardy's mistake was waiting for a chance to unload his big guns. But waiting is not a luxury GSP seems willing to give anyone, at anytime, in any position. He is incredibly courageous and forward thinking. Trying to land a knockout punch on GSP is like trying to tame a wolverine on crack.
But credit is due Hardy. With tired guns tied up into pretzels he reached inside himself to not tap out and escaped to go the distance. This fight will be studied for a long time.

Being really good is one thing, truth is, to be great you have to finish decisively, not by decision all the time. He only took up BJJ and wrestling because his Karate Teacher died. But regardless, Boxing is more appropriate for the casual viewer with more action as oppose to MMA that requires knowledge about wrestling and BJJ to even understand it similar to baseball and pitches, but much more complicated.

When you fight, the better fighter dictates the fight by playing to his strengths and forces the opponent into thier weakness. If Dan was better that day then he would of found a way to make GSP stay in his stand up and dictated the fight. GSP exposed the weakness and dominated. Did exactly what needed to be done. All of Hardy's opponents to date would all make laughable competition for GSP. He looks good but he really hasn't fought anything close to a master of the octagon like GSP. I certainly don't see Hardy as being any more dangerous than Alves.

@LoVeMySeMTeX as an American I just don't get the whole fuckin U.S vs England thing. WTF? Who cares? Yeah it's great for England if Hardy takes the belt but it's business as usual to me if GSP does. Maybe that's it. IMO, i think we've gotten a lot of great fights outta the Brits. Haters, man. Shit, you don't see like, China vs Austraila do you? I hope the U.K merges w/UFC POSSIBLY w/a new style kinda like Brazil. I'm a fight fan, i wanna see GOOD FIGHTS, thts all that matters.
