hey i agree entirely! my friend met her now husband online about three years ago through a game site (random) they met up in america and he moved out here to be in melbs with her, one kid and another on the way and been married for almost a year, so i think its fine, i have heaps of friends i have met through mutual friends such as facebook etc and none have turned out psycho.. yet :)
I honestly don't think it should be taboo at all. The computer is a everyday part of our lives, why not be part of our relationships too? And i've actually met a few friends online. But yes internet dating is pretty new, so maybe in a few years time it'll slowly become to norm. Meeting people online and IRL is great. Both are. And i agree, online you get to see the person inside, not judge solely on looks. But you should be careful who you talk to as well!
One of my friends ((shes african american)) she meet a guy through myspace from another friend. And they connected oh hes chinese and they went out for like a year now. Its weird for me to actaully hear it but hey i guess they were meant to be. Btw, you remind me of myself cause I like to say "UM" alot..lol
so ... my friend sent me the link to one of your vid's and now i'm just going to get it over with watch them all and probaly respond to them all (I'm procrastinating cleaning my room right now) ~ anyways I don't date anymore but i met a good friend on the internet (she put a ad out for a workout buddy in the area) and actually I've met a few good friends on the net . just beware of the psycos~
LOL that last random meatpie comment strikes close to home. LOL... I once dated an Aussie girl also from Melbourne(Laverton to be exact) that mentioned nothing but Aussie meatpies. All she could ever talk about was finding decent meatpie? I was like WTF is a meatpie? I only have chicken`pot pie in the fridge. LOL..I was like "Good luck finding meatpie in America, hon!!" LOL Anyway, keep up the good work...Cool vids mate!
personalli i have no problems with online dating if it makes an individual happy then its ok, but for me i like to go out and meet people thats the fun part
Love your accent, well everybody has already said that to you.. anyway, good topic, my point of view is... after all why not we're in the 21st century huh ? Might be true about the fact you get to now the person better, cause maybe it's easier to talk like some people fear to be judge so if they haven't the person directly in front of them they might open themselves easier... There shouldn't be any taboo anyway.
happened to me twice and those are some of the most important people in my life today. you should just meet as soon as possible in real life, cause someone is so much more than any online-account (gestures, mimics, these little important things that defines a person).
sometimes people are even more impressing and interesting in real life. (if you have luck. ^^)
