I may have posted this before..if so, I'm sorry. Peter told me he could only do the stomach crunches, floating on his bum, on stage..could not do it off stage. Thank you PeppersBear for this great clip.
I had the great pleasure of seeing him perform live in his Up In One tour. He was a truly remarkable entertainer and it is a night I will never forget.
he wasn't ashamed of his sexuality because there was no need for shame. just a great musician who said 'f.ck you all, I am what I am', but he was to talented to ever say that in a bad way. australia should have so many naturally talented people.

I got to see Peter several times at Ontario Place in Toronto as a kid as well as a cozier show he did at the O'Keefe Centre. I'll never forget how funny he was and the passion he had for pleasing the crowd. He was a true pro and our family will always have fond memories thanks to Peter! Thanks for posting this Peppersbear !
@EltonHamilton A tremendously idiotic comment, since at this time Peter was close to the end of his life. And in true show biz tradition he did shows that a person in his failing health should never have done..He felt if he didn't do these shows, he was letting his fans down..The Show Must Go On.. Unlike your stupid insincere comment.
He was a real funny bugger, so camp. I miss him so much. Thanks for all the great memories Peter there will never be another like you anywhere or anytime.
Nobody before or since on stage so soulful & magnificent...from Bi-Coastal, this masterpiece filled with great songs with "Fly-Away" a memorable gem...radio never rose to the occasion of this gifted legend but audiences knew...Bravo Peter!
Give an australian legend a break, He made something of his life, we're watching it now, and people adore him for what he did, he was different and mabye exentric, but he was alot better that most singers now-a-days, they just stand there he created almost every little detail....
Give the man a break. He was on stage for an hour and a half already. It was almost 100 degrees (not to mention the humidity) and his next song was "Rio". Most of his fans know what he put into that performance.
What is truly impressive is, that on top of his fantastic song writing skills. Peter is actually singing this song while doing his aerobic work-out. Compared to so many of today's performers who fake it to recorded lyrics while gyrating on the stage. And I dare anyone to compare what they do physically to what you witness Peter doing in this video. What a great talent too soon gone.
Hi Peppersbear, Just wanted to let you know that I love all your Peter Allen videos. He was an amazing performer and you have been nice enough to share them with everyone who wants to watch. Thank you!
His "live" performances were far more dynamic than his studio recordings. His biographers seem to have missed all of these in reviewing his contribution to the entertainment industry. He is a huge legend in Australia. Pop icon Kylie Minogue sang without accompaniment "I Still Call Australia Home" infront of an 80,000 crowd and a massive nationwide TV audience a few months ago.
@pajammypam Peter Allen recorded some of he best lp's ever by a male singer/songwriter with "I've Been Taught By Experts", "I Could Have Been A Sailor", "Bi-Coastal", primo examples of the best of the best...radio did not rise to the occasion of this magnificent talent so sadly exposure was limited but his audience knew and bought all of these classic works and wore them out...Bravo Peter, you are missed!!!

LOL. To think that this video was recommended to me! In future, I will stay away from his videos and I won't be sick to my stomach, or as you say I won't be disappointed.
My computer is starting to sweat.

This is really fucked up. Granted, he had some great, underrated songwriting talent, but this is seriously so weird and fucked up.

Those lyrics <3 Oh, I love him...
You're the earth, and I'm the sky...and sometimes if I go too high. You pull the string that pulls me back. I for for you, I might lose track...

Thanks for this. As to his "Gymnastics" on the piano. I once asked him HOW he did that. He told me he could only do that on stage.
