I tried to do a 3D pumpkin last year, cut myself, I think you need special tools, I was trying to use a knife, neat pumpkins. I spent up to three hours on some of my pumkins from pumpkinmasters, the easy ones can be done in about 50 minutes, this is from removing the seeds to finish.

All of these photo's came from one website, mine.

And they are all carved pumpkins, no photoshop tricks. some are foam pumpkins carved with a dremel, but all are carved by very talented carvers. I have an online Gallery where these photo's were taken from, and you can view them full scale. on my site.

All of the patterns used to create these carvings are also available on my site.

I also have online, step by step tutors that show the entire process.
