  • would it not have made more sense to have kept a short tow , so the tug was actually steering and pulling ?

  • good point towboat911

  • wonder why they don't use a drouge/sea ancore off the stren thats what we used to do for sailboats that lost rudders all the time.

  • @camohunter21 i think this tow may be too large for a drogue

  • Now that's towing

  • Stern first maby better??

    (with balast shifted to bow??

  • That was also a good option, but were making a speed of >7 knots, so why risking leakage through mainshaftseals, anyhow tow already safely delivered, Brgds oceanwindrider

  • point taken! towed safely into harbour, thats the inportant thing! (and the money!)

(rocking all over the world (LOL)

  • would it have been easier if you pulled the back instead of the front of the ship

I dont know anything about this stuff

  • Have to love the comment by mrshmaster, look at what he is driving. When was the last time you towed a loaded bulk carrier mrshmaster?

  • hahaha

  • The ship ought to be in clutch reverse to stay strait.

  • smal point here, engine has noreverse gear , only reversable engine ...!!

  • leuk filmpje ! Groeten vanuit Vlagtwedde ( NL )
