  • hot stuff ;D ty

  • This absolutely great the Swallows are such a gifted group they really know how to turn it on when it comes to singing jump or belting out any one of their great ballards.

  • nice

  • My ex needs to be tied to a chair and forced to listen to this at top volume till his ears bleed. That is all.

  • Seriously...The Swallows...singing "It ain't the meat it's the motion". How very homosexual.

  • A song that will survive the ages, love the bass.

  • This is what I told my wife on our wedding night...

  • Southside J and the A Jukes did a good cover of this.Gotta' love the original though.

  • if i was them, i'd change my name

  • Surely I can't be the only one to note the (hopefully unintentional) triple-entendre of the group name...:)...classic, and one of the greatest dirty blues sides of all time...

  • Lanny- your notes and research are the absolute best. Keep up the good work!

  • How old is this?

  • @humboldtus It was released in 1951...there is more info on this song in my notes attached to each YouTube post.

  • @humboldtus 1951

  • Skin slaping sounds in the background.

  • aaayyee!! they are so freshh!!! lol

  • @DimensionsofChange What were they talking about? I assume this song explores the concept of how it is not our physical bodies alone which are important, but the vital force that inhabits and moves it. Call it the soul, or the lovely dance of nerve impulses and interweaving chemical signals: It is the motion that makes it all worth while.

Or, he might have been talking about sex. :)

  • Thumbs up if you heard this on the Animal Planet shark commercial

  • @ItsNesBoy I seek help ! During one of the Animal Planet commercial there is a snake crawling around, and there is a song playing, the lyrics says : Got to be number one in this world... What is the name of this song ?

  • @goldatra3 probably Custom Kings - Number one that's what google is for

  • yes it was the Maria Muldaur version that I had originally heard ...thanks for that un ...really swings !!

  • I remember a version of this song by...Bonnie Raitt? In the 1970s. And it got played a lot on a radio station I listened to then. Of course, the '70s were a whole lot different than the '50s.

  • Hmmmm what could this song be about?

  • Great song!!! Back then this was pushing it.

  • risky blues; that's the kind of blues I like

  • I FEEL LIKE DANCING! Thanks for the good music.

  • Maria Muldaur also did a dynamite version

    of this song.

  • @billchew450 So did Southside Johnny & the Ashbury Jukes, Dana Gillespie and The Baboons. Good songs turn up every once in a while

  • If this baby was on the jukebox....I'd sure as heck put in another coin to hear it again !
