@MisterAvailable Agreed. This isn't the idealistic country some try to make it out to be with the diatribes of "America is the land of the free" and "We're a democracy by the people". America doesn't take well to letting people watch things that are objectionable to some but that may not be objectionable to others. Freedom of speech is limited so much here in the states that it's almost as if it doesn't exist. My state is trying to ban "offensive images" from the internet so I know first hand :/

@57worldwide In most places it's legal under that circumstance. The justification is that it's on public land...you've "dumped" it. Some areas have specific laws that protect you, but that's why police will go through you trash: they don't need a warrant.
