  • not sure how i got here from paquita...

    anyway, cool tricks.

  • Yay for Kiara Nowlin :)

  • @EgoVanguard are u lost?

  • man i wish i could jump around in my underpants and yell at people

  • LOL @ the gymnasts who are like "oh were gymnasts" "try doing what we do" you guys the fact is cheerleaders ARE gymnasts. and most cheerleaders take tumbling classes ontop of there cheer practices. So, we do what you guys do but take it to the max in a way you cant ;)

  • @alyssageebaby14 You guys have all the really hard tumbling and stunts, but we also have vault, bars, and beam. I could never do the stunts where you stand on people though. Haha I don't know what they're called sorry. :P

  • @alyssageebaby14 really? because i'd like to see you do that on a 4 inch piece of wood, over a vault, or between bars. you do a fraction of what we do on floor the floor, and we throw stunts cheerleaders have never even heard of, so what makes you gymnasts, because you tumble? People on the street teach themselves that, try again. so really, your point is completely invalid.

  • Gymnasts learn to perform without tugging at their uniforms. And a gymnast is their own spotter and flyer and motivator. If you cheerleaders think the 80 pushups is bad...try 1 hour of strength every day. Then you feel the pain. 

  • Haha i like how it has more likes on the cheer comment than gymnastics :)

  • @cheerextremelove actually, both comments are about gymnastics. i like how no one likes the cheer comments, and thats what this video is about.

  • soo a sport! i remember coming back after nearly breaking my wrist nd was so determing to do a stunt i must have tried at least 50 times and dont think i noticed i was crying. only ended up stopping coz i felt really bad for the amount of times my flyer nearly hit the floor <3 cheer

  • Just to let you know, it's spelled 'catastrophe.'

(also I agree with everything, I regret quitting cheer. I really need to get back into it. xD)

  • To the people saying cheerleading isnt a sport, try it. Its pushing your self to the max no matter what, hours in a hot gym, falling hard, getting back up with a smile and going on acting like your not hurt. Putting all of your trust into 3 girls to catch you, if they dont it could end terriable. Being so sore after practice you can barley walk, then going to another practice If you even over or under cut there goes that stunt. It is one of the hardest sports.

  • As a mother of 3 cheerleaders and a coach, you girls need to know I think you have THE TOUGHEST SPORT out there! It takes amazing dedication to your sport to make it as a competitive cheerleader and I'm always so proud and amazed with ALL the girls on our teams! And our team actually has a minimum B grade point average or you will serve a suspension until your grades come up so the whole "bimbo" rep is completely undeserved, all our cheerleaders and on the honor roll! Wish more ppl saw this!

  • those are some crazy good flyers at the end

  • yeayes READ PLEASE an example of great cheerleaders is maryland tsunami the lights went off at worlds but dis that stop them from tumbling no! !!!!!!!! secound they lost a team mate brea who pulled her acl and brea still got up which i wouldnt do but the poor brea was going thru pain and couldnt do it did that stop maryland tsunami no!!!!!!! they performed 4 times!!!!!! and hit every time there the diefinition of CHEERLEADERS MARYLAND TSUNAMI :D

  • Cheerleaders also break things more than most sports do.

  • How is it not a sport? Its way harder then playing baseball or football in my opinion, but im not here to fight.

  • Cheerleading is definitley a sport! We work for 5 hours straight we make risks and sometimes they end up bad! So go talk to someone who cares!

  • @abfore13 okay, so what? that happens in other SPORTS too, dance isn't a sport (i'm a collegiate dancer, not hating on dance) but it's an art. cheer is not a sport. accept it.

  • Well why don't you try it? See for yourself the grueling practices in a hot gym....doesn't look hard to do, but by the end were exhausted. And stunting is way harder than it looks......especially if you don't get caught, it can be fatal. So try before you judge....

  • @Oxx3rinxxO i was a competitive cheerleader for 8 years. been there. you work you butt off, but not nearly as much as most other sports

  • listen, cheerleading is probably the most difficult SPORT ever. that's one of the many reasons they only do stuff like soccer and kickball in kids gym classes, because it's a lot less dangerous

  • @penguinshearts86 okay, actually, get your facts straight. FIRST off, cheer isn't a sport. SECOND, gymnastics and figure skating are currently tied for most dangerous sport in the world. i was a cheerleader, it's nothing compared to gymnastics...trust me.

  • epic

  • the dictionary definition of a sport is: An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others.

cheerleaders exert themselves way more than a lot of people that play sports do, we compete and we are definitely a team, so lets all stop being little babies about this whole thing, accept that cheer is a sport, because it fits all of the categories and just group hug it out. and bake cakes filled with rainbows okay??? thanks

  • @MrsCheercats haha, to be honest, i do not agree with you, but i cannot argue, because of the last statement "bake cakes filled with rainbows" haha love it:)

  • CHEER ISNT A SPORT GET IT THROUGH YOUR THICK HEADS

  • @AnnieWilliams27 no get it thru yours babe it is a sport...:L

  • @EllieeDance98 Nope

  • @AnnieWilliams27 cheerleading is a sport. thank you very much us cheerleaders work our butts off! its hard work yet people just dont see how hard it is. IT IS A SPORT

  • @MsToxicCupcakes you work hard...if i worked hard to eat 12 hamburgers in one sitting, would that make it a sport? I'd be conditioning myself, pushing my limits, my body would ache every day...JUST like cheerleaders condition, push limits, and ache. doesn't make it a sport. yes, you work VERY HARD! however, you don't work harder tha most other sports, and dancers work just as hard, yet dance isn't a sport, it's an art. so deal with it.

  • @KleeD2133 i still dont agree. we compete like every other SPORT. SO THEREFORE IT IS A SPORT we work our butts off like a football player. alls they do is kick a ball though a goal im not saying i could do it but if they kick a ball why cant throwing girls and flipping through the air be a sport....

  • @MsToxicCupcakes if you think all football players do is kick a ball through a goal, then you seriously cna't even complain about what people say about cheerleaders. you get mad when they say "all you do is wear skimpy clothes and cheer" you do so much more than that, and football players do too. and it's not a sport. again, refering to my example, if cheer is a sport, that should be too. dance isn't a sport. i'm a collegiate dancer, it's an art. cheer isn't a sport, it's an activity.

  • @MsToxicCupcakes it isnt that hard.

  • @AnnieWilliams27 so youre saying you could do all the shit thoose girls did? id like to see you try.

  • @CheeseNuggetsyum i get that it's hard...but alot of people can do that stuff if they try hard enough. chill.

  • @CheeseNuggetsyum Well seeing as how i am a level 7 gymnast i can do that and some on a four inch piece of wood. So that being said your comment is invalid, have a nice day.

  • @AnnieWilliams27 thank you! :)

  • @KleeD2133 I dont see why they think its a sport, they work hard and compete but anyone can do it and it takes special talent for it to be a sport. But i know other people share my opinion. So its alright:)

  • @sunnypuppy22 yes they do. To have a move named after you you have to compete it in a national competition. Which lane did! Get your facts straight girlie

  • I was joking. CTFO.

  • Also one thing we do is work as a TEAM which is a life lesson whereas gymnasts perform and work individually. Cheer teams are a unit we win, cry, work, and strive together.

  • @goodgirlgonebad79 gymnasts have a team sweetie, each of us on our team compete in from of the judges individually, meaning if you're the weak link, your score shows it. it it up to us to help eachother, support eachother, and be there for eachother, because one person can and will cost us a meet. if someone isn't as good in cheer, you put them in the back of the routine, and the judges may or may not spot them. in gymnastics, everyone competes for the team, but individually.

  • @KleeD2133 that is a true but in gym u dont hav to worry about formations or sequences i was a gymnast for 5 years and im a cheerleader now and there both hard in their own ways

  • @KleeD133 i do agree that gymnastics and cheerl R both difficult in their own ways. though i've nvr been a gymnast i can totally appreciate the fact tht there are sum things you can do tht we knt nd things tht cheerleaders can do tht gymnasts knt [unless you've done both] however yur sport may be alil more demandin of yur time, tht duznt change the fact tht yes we DO train hard we DO work hard nd we DO spend alot of time @ our gyms.

  • @goodgirlgonebad79 yes, i've said in many comments, i completely get that you guys work your butts off! and i have done both, and it anoys me when cheerleaders think they have ti harder than any other sport...because most sports train you ALOT harder.

  • @KleeD2133 im a cheerleader and i dont think we hav it harder the only thing is stunts that cheerleaders think r the hardest thing because cheerleading is more dangerous than all womens sports and we just hav to practice then extremely hard becuase stunts r like u can practice all the time u want but u can still fall even if u did it perfect in practice but like gymnasttics is just totally different

  • @sunnypuppy22 yes but gymnastics and figure skating are tied for most difficult. and yes your stunts are difficult, but i did cheer, and i was a flyer, base. backspot, and tumbler. i find it much easier to expect someone to catch me than to throw the same stunt, by myself, and have to land it in bare feet perfectly.

  • @KleeD2133 ok guess what!! i was gymnast, i never said cheerleading was the most difficult sport ever i said it was the most dangerous, learn the difference, and i am a flyer, was a base and backspot, but in gym u dont hav to worry about teamwork or formations but in cheer u do and dont say gym is a team sport cuz one gym i went 2 i was the only level 8 so it wasnt a team ok all i said was that gym and cheer r more difficult than the other in their own ways kk good

  • @sunnypuppy22 ok i will say it's a team sport because i apologize that you were the only level 8, but unless you're an independant, you are on a team. you compete by yourself, but your scores count for the whole team. so if one person sucks, your team suffers. in cheer, if one person sucks, they get put in the back of the routine and possibly cost you points.

  • @KleeD2133 ok lets say u have 10 level 8's on a team, if 1 person does bad it doesnt matter cuz only the top 3 scores count towards a team award and u dont make it to the olympics because ur team has the highest scores its if u have the highest score gym is about u and in gym u dont need a team to be the best but in cheer u do

  • @sunnypuppy22 ok, that's fair enough, but you still have to work as a team. if you have 4 people on a team, yes, only 3 scores count, however, if one of you blows it, it may cost your team unless everyone else does really good.

  • What is the name of the song?

  • Cheerleaders are too dumb to spell "catastrophe" (or spell check.)

  • @trintube68 That's just a stupid stereotype. Most Cheerleaders are quiet smart and also work really hard.

  • @trintube68 omg most cheerleaders have to have like honors to cheer in college thats just wat ppl think off of movies but most cheerleaders r rly smart

  • whats the name of the video at 1:21 - 1:51

  • I definetely think competition cheerleading is a sport. Been cheering for 9 years. Girls on my team have gotten concussions, sprained and broken ankles, broken noses, broken wrists, tentinitus, and 2 girls have been told by doctors that they will have arthritus when they are in their 20s from their wrists being so weak and then stunting. One girl on my cheer squad cheered after having surgery to take out a tennis sized ball in her tumor. Today she is diagnosed with cancer. Strongest girl I know.

  • Cheerleading is one of the hardest activities to do. It IS a sport to me, since I do it! I just competed today! It is really hard work people! Why dont you try ccheer for one day and see if YOU can do it. >.<

  • so cheerleading isn't a sport...but ping pong is...really people?!

  • 3:26 SHAYTARDS VIDEO!!!3 CARLIE STYLEZZ

  • does anyone know the name of the team at 1:38? or the link to that video

  • @amandduhh16 The one and only University of Louisville<3 search UofL All Girl stunt group. You'll see it

  • I do gymnastics and I can do flips and stuff so when I am a cheerleader in High School it will help a lot!

  • All Cheer Is, Is gymnastics and dance, with music lol

If Gymnastics is called a sport, Cheer Is prettyyy much the same damn thing lol

  • I do volleyball, basketball, cheer, and softball and I have to say my first favorite is cheer and my second is volleyball. People that dont think that cheer is a sport should try it for a couple of weeks then they will realize how much work we do and how hard it is. then they would know that cheer is a sport. :)

  • the argument of cheer vs. gymnastics is not a good thing to get into because both work extremely hard and do not receive near the amount of credit we deserve!! cheerleading especially doesn't receive the credit it deserves, but gymnastics too....

but for the gymnasts who are arguing STOP with the "we rely on ourselves"... would you rather mess up and let only yourself down (gymnastics) or mess up and let yourself down, AND 20-40 other people? (cheer)....

  • I love the statistics!

  • This video is soo true! Cheerleading is a sport.

  • cheerleaders arent always preppy and annoying... we put amazing effort into this stuff

  • Cheerleading is not only a girls sport

  • @iceskinny its not even a sport.

  • Gymnastics is not a sport well at least I think because teams dont work together

  • Gymnastics is truly the most difficult and dangerous of the two.

  • @bobrovskybabex0 WRONG! KAY THANKS BYE

  • @icespiritgirl It's an opinion,so unless you've been an Elite gymnast as well,you have no clue.And I never said cheer wasn't a sport.

  • @bobrovskybabex0 no its been proven that cheer is the most dangerous womens sport becuz in gym u have mats and coaches by ur side all the time and more training equpiment but in cheer if ur highschool u do stunts on gym floors, the only thing under u r ppl in stunt if ur a flyer, u hav to wear tennis shoes, the floor isnt as springy as gym, and the coaches arent right next to u to catch u if u fall i was a gymnast for 5 years and cheer for 2(still am) in cheerl u need teamwork and in gym u dont

  • @ilovecheermix19 then your stunts not gonna go up

  • Besides cheer and gymnastics are no that similar that you can say that if gymnastics is a sport so is cheer and that fact that you think gymmastics isnt a sport is hiliarious because according to the rest of the world it is. Ever watch the summer olympics? And seriously i was only trying to help you guys find a better argument because i think cheer is a sport but others dont

  • @malibulili u wrote that cheerleading can be much harder than gymnastics but unless youve actually seen a level 10 gymnastic workout then you will keep believing that cheerleading is harder than gymnastics. My friends are ridiculously good at gymnastics they go to nationals for level 10, get skills named after them and cry at practices. Now i get in some cases cheerleading can be rlly hard but in gymnastics you only rely on yourself and in cheerleading you can count on others to catch you. Besi

  • @msubergymnast you can always trust your self. u said count on others, what if they cant be trusted?

  • @msubergymnast ok level 10 gymnasts dont hav moves named after them u hav to be an olympian to hav that happen

  • @sunnypuppy22 no you don't actually. my coach's daughter was a collegiate gymnast and she is in the gymnastics hall of fame for having a move named after her called the quackenbush (prolly spelled wrong) she made it when she was a level ten.

  • Listen im a cheerleader and a gymnast and i get a lot of you want to prove cheer is a sport but honestly comparing it to gymnastics is not going to help your case AT ALL find a new argument

  • @msubergymnast cheerleading can be MUCH harder than gymnastics. If that is your case, the cheerleading is a sport, gymnastics is NOT.

  • Ok listen i get that everyone wants to prove that cheerleading is a sport i get it but listen comparing it to gymnastics will not help your case AT ALL. I should know im a cheerleader and a gymnast. Some people are saying oh i would like to see you do perfect tumbling after holding someone on the air. Guess what i do and some cheerleading tumbling is really sloppy. Im not trying to diss cheer because i really do love it but i have to say gymnastics is a lot harder

  • you spelt "colleges" wrong........

  • oh um btw you forgot that 95% of cheerleaders who get reall good... Scratch that... every single girl on that video was skinnny.. "fat" ppl dont get to do the good kool stuff that all the toothpicks get to do -_- that is all

  • also!!! CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT!!!!

  • I love competitive cheerleading ive been in it since i was in 7th grade and before that competitive gymnastics since i was 7. too bad its my last year but theres always college!!! :D good video btw

  • I used to be a cheerleader, during a stunt as a flyer, one of my bases dropped me and i fractured my spine. I'm getting back into cheerleading SOON! and from what i went through, it IS a sport. Especially when we did conditioning(running, exercising, etc..) It is hard, and takes a WHOLE lot of hard work, and confidence. Think about looking at a competition floor about to tumble and hoping you don't mess up and brake your neck. One little screw up, and you might be done for good. it's a sport.

  • @foxxyroxxy11 i was a backspot and a flyer landed on me and shattered my shoulder, collar bone, and arm.... i now have a plastic shoulder....but there is no way in hell i would ever quit!

  • @HawtBombShell whoops the rest of my comment didnt post..what i was gonna say is ESPN ranked practically every sport played in the world based on a bunch of factors, such as flexibility and endurance, and cheerleading finished tied for 52nd, right behind golf and table tennis..so ESPN just showed, with numbers to back it up, the cheerleading is easier than golf and ping pong.. go suck one ;)

  • There's no doubt that there is a high degree of skill in competitive cheerleading. The problem, IMO, is that cheerleaders are often masked in these cheesy outfits with oversized bows, short skirts and sparkles.

  • i love this vid i deff agree<3

  • 1:05 that's my squad!

...but you didn't ask if you could use the video...

you could at least give credit of where you got the videos from :)

  • Ok I'm sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but ESPN ranked the hardest sports to play based on factors like endurance, strength, power,

  • @chitownboy4 ESPN shows cheerleading. Lol.(; Go suck one.

  • 3:02 is at the Highschool im Going to

  • I love 2 cheer i wish the people who think it's all girls in mini skirts jumping up and down will see the practices. The pain the tears sometimes even the blood

  • I am a gymnast and cheerleader.

They are both sports, nuff said.

Both require tons of hardwork, dedication, etc. Like any other sport.

Dancing, gymnastics, weightlifting is a sport.. So why isn't cheer?!

It's kinda all 3 at once... Except those 'weights' are human beings.

I've spent my whole life on this stuff, I know what I'm talking about.

I've made so many sacrafices in love of these sports.

When people say it's stupid... Now that pisses me off(:

  • @shadowgirl1300 thank u i totally agree cuz i was a gymnast and im a cheerleader and they r both sports!!!

  • when i ask some kids at my school why they think cheerleading ISNT a sport, there responses are, "Because you're cheering for another sport." SICK LIFE.

  • so gymnastics is a sport,

    weightlifting is a sport,

    and dancing is sport,

    WHY ISNT CHEERLEADING!!!???

  • @sunnypuppy22 weight lifting isn't actually considered a sport. is an activity because it doesn't involve any skill you have to learn.

  • @sunnypuppy22 It is, people misunderstand us cheerleaders (male) because all we do is "shake pom poms" Cheerleading requires gymnastic skills, and gymnastics is a sport right, gymnastics has dance, right? So dance, gymnastics make cheerleading a sport because you need dance skills and gymnastic skills and I forgot weightlifting because you lift people up and throw them. I know that for a fact.

  • @sunnypuppy22 dancing is an art actually, not a sport. and i'm a collegiate dancer at BYU. gymnastics is definitely a sport. and cheer isn't because that's what the supreme court ruled. and, gymnastics is alot harder than cheer, since i have done both i am entitled to say that. cheerleaders work their butts off, but it's not the hardest thing on the planet.

  • @KleeD2133 my sister is a dancer and it is a sport and i did gymnastics and cheerleading 2 and their both harder than each other in different ways which is what u dont understand

  • @sunnypuppy22 i do understand i am a collegiate dancer, gymnast, and was a cheerleader. dance is an art, but i do suppose it depends on which kind. i am not trying to be mean, i am just saying. gymnastics is much harder than cheerleading...i understand cheer is very hard, and its scary to do all the things they do, scary, but the difficulty ( i found) was nothing compared to gymnastics.

  • @sunnypuppy22 becasue ppl are stupid and they think if u have to wear a skirt it isnt a sport even through people dont understand all the hard work that goes into cheerleading

  • @missy45349 since i was a comp cheerleader, i get that you work your butts off! dosen't make it a sport though. you don;t work harder than most other sports, so i dont get why you're always complaining..

  • @sunnypuppy22 Dance is definitely a sport...haha, all of them are sports. I do both Cheer and Dance, and both a sport to me. I don't care what anyone says...!

  • @dancer99ism i'm a colligiate dancer, and i get where you're coming from, but dance is an art, not a sport.

  • It's sick. They should declared Cheerleading as a sport. It's as hard as gymnastic. I'm a team gymnast in Sweden and I know how hard it is. Nearly every training someone hurts herself less or more. I know how hard Cheerleading is because i know a girl who's a elitecheerleader. Both is definetly a sport.

  • firstly, learn how to spell... it's catastrophe...

secondly, just a thought here, i wouldn't quite brag about the fact that cheerleaders are hurt more than gymnasts... let's think about this from a realistic perspective for a minute, if you are properly trained in how to do something, the risk of injury should be decreased, and if what you're telling me is that cheerleaders are prone to and suffer injury often, that's gotta tell you something right there... think about it for a minute.

  • I hate it when I see girls with TALENT wasting their time with cheer leading.

They could truly be amazing if they broke away from their groups and went solo with gymnastics, they would truly be something amazing.

  • (3 comments posted in reverse order...Sorry)

While activities like bullfighting, hunting and bowling BARELY meet the requirement, they DO all have an opponent (albeit of the 4 legged variety). However, in cheerleading you are largely in competition with yourself to give your best performance (as in acting, archery, etc).

  • The argument could be made for competitive cheering as you do "compete" against others but you are still graded on your stand alone performance. There is no interaction or defense as in a true sporting event. BTW I give the same consideration to gymnastics, concert piano, golf and the like. These are all highly skilled activities that do not meet the definition of sport, no matter how passionate the participant.

  • Why the big push to lable it a "sport"? Who cares? Is that some highly sought after badge of honor? Cheerleading is an activity that demandsTONS of skill, talent, dedication, practice and hard work but a "sport", by defination, is an athletic competition requiring an active tangable opponent. Though it calls for much more athleticism, it's no more of a "sport" than the marching band, ballroom dancing or skeet shooting (no offense).

  • I do both sports and personally think they r both hard but gymnastics is a ton harder!

  • No one is trying to say that tumbling in cheerleading is perfect. There are still those who poorly execute their passes, but then again, there are those who make their passes look polished and impressive. How clean cheer tumbling is or isn't should not reflect on the sport itself. It should reflect on the tumbler's own technique.

  • Cheerleading is one of the hardest things to do and compete at. I am an elite swimmer, gymnast, and cheerleader. This video shows some of what we do...

  • there are more cheer scholarships than sailing ones

  • it is very dangerous. Our cheer captaain broke her arm and another cheerleader tore her knee and neither of them can cheer now and we are only in 6th grade

  • 0:37 DAYUUMM GURL GOT SKILLZZ

  • Honestly, i don't care if cheerleading is called a "sport" or not, but it DOES require athletic ability, stamina, hard work, flexiblility and is by no way easy. If the word "sport" does entale those words... i dont want to play a sport, i want to cheer.

  • Hahah you uploaded this on my birthday i feel special..Jk jk Good video boys should watch it so they know the pain of this sport and preparing for it.

  • I don't think that cheerleading is not a sport, but I think the only reason it is the women's most dangerous sport is because you have to rely on others for your safety.. In gymnastics we have to rely on ourselves to make the move.. We don't always have someone there to catch us.. Personally I think that gymnastics is harder simply because of all of the aparatuses and routines we have to do.. While in cheerleading you have 1 routine...

  • @gymnasticslover1231 u can say what u want but no one in gynastics could ever hang with lil b he is the best there is and none of yall could go do the stunts we do

  • @07ucabear look up university of utah gymnastics open gym and tell me that what they do isn't harder....

  • @gymnasticslover1231 Wait, cheerleaders only learn one routine? Because last time I check I have learned a new 2:30-3:30 minute routine EVERY WEEK for the whole football season and now basketball season coming up.

  • @snails94 u know in cheer u hv to be sharp same as gymnastics. if u r so confident why dont u try going to an all star practice u CANT be sloppy at al!

  • IF ITS NOT A SPORT thta what is? seriouslyy!

  • Competitive: sport.

    Sideline: not.

  • a sport is not defined by the danger put into it. let's face it, how dangerous is ultimate frisbee really? but it's nevertheless considered a sport. also people need to stop comparing gymnastics and cheerleading because as a cheerleader i can't do some of the stuff my gymnast friend does and she can't do some of the stuff my team does. they are two different things!

  • 1:20 - 1:58

  • i remember i was at thrill jam one year and we lost first n got second by .0004 we were beyond pizzd

  • 4:15............ cough cough...........

  • at 1:17 what team is that because that looks like the school I go to .

  • So you want people to c u fall?

  • @daisydogrox in my squad a base walked out in the middle of a stunt while the flyer was in the air the flyer fell broke her neck and nearly died in gymnastics you dont get thrown 5 ft in the air and there is always a chance someone is not paying attention so get your facts right before you judge other SPORTS hun Xxxx

    Dundee Tangerines Allstars!!! Woop Woop!!!!

  • And gymnastics is a team sport as well as a solo sport. When you need your team they have your back. You compete together train together bleed together cry together. If that's not a team than idk what is. But when your out on that apparatus it's all you. Same with wrestling. team and solo.

  • Comment removed

  • dude at 1:00 i swear tht looks just like my squad xD uniforms and everything lmao wow

  • I believe that anything that can be scored is not a sport. Gymnastics? No. Diving? No. Ice skating? No. Cheerleading? No. But that doesn't mean that these girls aren't incredibly fit and dedicated athletes. They do dangerous death-defying things everyday and half of the people who believe that it's not a sport don't give them any credit. Cheerleaders are some of the most amazing people when it comes to competition, no disrepect intended. You have to have twice the muscle and 10 times the spirit

  • Penn & Teller's Bulls**t did a show about the dangers of cheerleading and how physically demanding it is!! I felt tired just by watching this vid!! Great job!!

  • Thank You For Making this Video! I hate how so many people say cheerleadings not a sport....its so easy! ITS NOT!!! In Cheerleading u constantly have to TRAIN! work soooo hard, u have one chance to win and the chance is 2:30 u combine stunting, dance, tumbling, and jumps!! I do Varsity Highschool Cheer and Allstars!! So it is tough! I LOVE CHEER<333 IT IS A SPORT!

  • Where did you get your facts?

  • Ok any guy who thinks cheerleading is

Not a sport,it is. I've seen it myself.trust me I have two cheerleading sisters.it kicks your but

  • football players have to throw a ball across a field, cheerleaders have to throw a person in the air. basketball players lift weights, cheerleaders lift people. Sport: Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. Cheer= Sport!! I am a cheerleader and I train just as hard as football players and basketball players. I'd like to see them try to do a standing back tuck.

  • it isnt the worlds most dangerest sport. my gym coach has seen a girl brake her neck and almost die...and plus think of soccer, poll vault, and all those sports. people can be seriously injured! although being thrown in the air is a little risky but there are spotters and in gymnastics there r no spotters!!!!

  • @daisydogrox think about what you just said, gymnasts dont get thrown in the air...

  • my teacher told me this and i was totally not surprisd he said cheerleading is the number one sport with the most injuries

  • How can you not call cheerleading a sport. I'm a cheerleader myself and I train 19 hours a week and if you don't think cheerleading is a sport check out Kiara Nowlin

  • bottom line cheerleaders work harder than most sports .

    Cheerleading IS a sport :)

  • i luv diz video.....

  • wow thats a great video to prove cheer is a sport based on how hard we work

  • @snails94 i dont think cheerleading tumbling is sloppy. then agian it is a team sport and a coach doesnt have 2 hours everday to train each cheerleader with tumbling.

  • @cristinxs234 that was a bsketball coach if you look at the left bottom corner it says you 2 mintues and 30 seconds to improve and show what you got...Thats it you screw up you have 2 minutes to show you can fix that.

  • @snails94

Tumbling isn't all of it, but the reason most cheer tumbling is sloppy is because of pure ambition. You wanna get into a higher level? You'd better believe you need a ton of skills..and you're gonna get those skills in a short period of time, sloppy or clean.

Everything is combined...in gymnastics, you have breaks between skills. In cheer? It's all one. It's all pure drive, determination, sweat, and blood.

Have you ever been on a competition floor?

  • @psykkochikk

Uhhh no, it's sloppy because you don't get deductions for it being sloppy in competitions...in gymnastics you do. Simple as that.
