Very interesting proposition. I have a few questions:
1. How do you monitor silica? Analyzers only address dissolved silica.
2. What happens when there is a hardness upset? Even with a hardness monitor we know it is not a matter of IF but WHEN. When magnesium is introduced to the water, will we be precipitating out Mag Silicate and putting our indespensable equipment at risk?
3. How long does it take this system to cycle up? Is there chemical treatment involved in getting things started?
