I was on the tram at Disneyland and someone with dread sat in front of me. Again is smelled but this time not like a wet sponge it was more like a Salad, I smelt Vinegar and on closer inspection I saw white flakes like baking soda. Also a pencil, leaves, confetti, Bed Mites, a Tic insect, there was even a little mouse that kept peeking and going back in, I was very surprised. There was Milkshake droppings, French Fries, Feathers, a used condom, a sock, a boot, a Alarm Clock and a Stove !
Its very intresting that at such a young age Luca would ask for dreads. I mean I'm 16 and still trying to convince my parents to let me get them. Very enlightend little boy you have there! lol love them he's adorable
This looks like very painful and unnatural scalp strain on that poor little boy, also has a lot of scalp showing - never go to salons for dreadlocks, they don't know what they're doing.
I'm sure you're good a cornrows, extensions etc, but please stop doing dreads =)
Thanks for your comment. I disagree with you though. First of all a 5 year old kid would not last the 8 hours it took to make this dreads if it had been painful. Second, it is a sign of a good job if the scalp shows, it means we dreaded throughly down to the roots. The dreads will grow out and the scalp will be covered again. No customers wants to leave the store with dreads half done. I think you probably just prefer the "neglect style", which means the hair is merely matted
@MagicStyleAtelier for some reason i myself have reasonably thick hair, but i only have thirty dreadlocks, and they are the same thickness as his. is that because of the way they were put in or just my hair type?
Well, Luca is only a little kid, so the dreads probably look thicker on him (smaller head). But we also added a tiny bit of synthetic hair to his dreads, for more eveness and a bit more volume. It is normal for dreads to get thinner while they mature. If you watch all of Luca's vids you can see how his locks lost volume over time. He has very fine, straight hair btw.
@charberry I mean no disrespect but I hear a lot of people saying they got dreads for a spiritual reason and most of the time they don't know what that spiritual reason is exactly. Can you define that subjectively?
Hey danke! Schau Dir einfach unser Video "Luca (5) gets his first Dread Locks" an.
:) Yes, you are right! I think there are several explanations for that: 1) It is far more work to lock non kinky hair, so they are proud of every single lock 2) Often the price for getting your hair dreaded is calculated by the amount of work it takes and that is best measured by the number and length or the dreads 3) The more dreads you have the smaller they are. So if you like to have a certain size it is good to know how many dreads you should aim for.
@MagicStyleAtelier Hey thanks a lot!! I've been wondering about that and now I know!! Thanks for the prompt and thorough answer :) You're very good at what you do so keep the uploads coming. Be blessed :)
@MagicStyleAtelier wow that was a great answer to StaceySplyce's question, i know i wasn't a part of the conversation but I appreciate the fact that you didnt get offended and retaliate with any racial remarks :) enjoy your day!
@SlipHat LOL, shut up. That conversation was between me and the uploader and my question has already been answered...Take a blood pressure pill and chill. LMAO!!!!
is his hair "straight hair" like asian/white people's hair? What kind of dreadlock is that? I heard that there is a palmroll dreadlock and crochet dreadlock?
Yes his hair is straight, please check out the frist part "Luca (5) gets his first Dread Locks". You can see his hair getting dreaded there. His hair was backcombed and crocheted with some palm rolling for shape.
:) I did a search on youtube "Kids with dreadocks" and there were some pretty young kids out there...Thanks again for watching and commenting, I apprechiate it.

Maybe it is easier to convince your parents when you are 5 - at that age my parents thought I could do nothing wrong ;)

what method was used to create these dreads?

The boy had very fine, straight hair. We used backcombing, palm rolling and crocheting. We also added a bit of synthetic hair.

having dread locks is a spiritual thing just like long hair.

@StaceySplyce probably because most of them have really thick locks... hence there are fewer and easier to count
