I was wondering when buying the acetate sheets do you recomend any certain weight? Is it like what comes in stamps when you buy them??? thanks so much for the tutorial the flower is awsum... Happy Scrapping
I loved this tutorial. It really helps when you show how you make something and then demonstrate. I guess that is why you call them tutorials-ha ha. Thanks for the inspiration.
Great project! Quick question though...I thought alcohol inks were made for slick surfaces like glossy paper and metal, so is it really necessary to sand the brad? I have really appreciated all of the videos and look forward to more of them.
Hi there! It's not necessary to sand the brad. I do it when I'm using multiple colors of alcohol inks because I find when working with a very, very small surface (like a brad) the colors don't take as well. I love the distressed look, so I sand the brad to "grunge" it up as well. :-) Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, your comments mean a ton! :-)
you sure are quick...we ask for a tutorial and taadaa...you have a tutorial. Thank you, it was great. Again, like Joyce the visual is better for me. Can't wait to see the corrugated one. Thanks for sharing. Brenda
Super cute!!! I love the way that you and Bona seem to tag team techniques. You have different executions so I feel like I have two ways to try a technique. You both are great teachers. Please, keep'em coming.
It depends on the size of the flower. I needed the BigBite because my crop-a-dile didn't reach as far in as I needed it to. For the measurements I provide in the video, you will need the BigBite to reach all the way in to punch the hole. Otherwise, you can try using a standard hole punch and punch each layer one at a time.... or use a paper piercer. :-)
Two shims come with the Sizzix premium crease pad. If you don't have shims, use 2 sheets of computer paper cut down to fit. You'll need it to get a good embossing impression onto the acetate when you run it through the BigShot.
Oh now this I will try. I've been saving all my plastic packaging for just this sort of project. Thanks for posting!

Love the video. Ty. Can you use the packaging that embossing folders/nesties come in?

Do you use the sheets like for an overhead projector? I have some of those and they look sorta greyish

Yup, that's it! I use the same sheets. They are also known as transparencies. :-)

You're welcome, Joyce! Glad you enjoyed the vid. :-) I may just do another one on how I made the corrugated chipboard ones... those were fun too! :-)
