Hi Nicole! I'm a new fan of yours... Four days ago I heard your song "Party's Over" at Old Navy clothing store--of all places--while I was trying on pants (lol), and I remembered the phrase "won't won't won't ever let them hurt you". I googled it and your name popped right up! Where there's a will there's a way :) I love this "Journey Through..." video series. You're a very talented lass, and good-natured. Thanks for being so candid about your life. And thanks for the music!
i wanted to post this and the "the way it is" video on my livejournal to spread the word about how awesome her music is. i ended up linking to the youtube video, but people don't always want to go the extra step to follow a link.
That's because she has a really crappy management agency. Her music isn't available, her name isn't promoted, and 99% of the public have never heard of her. It's sad. But it's cool that she is from my hometown, although I moved away a decade before she was even born. But Neptune city is where I began my love affair with the guitar that continues to this day.
Just bought the album via Amazon, don't know what you people are going on about, honestly. She was at The Late Show, can't get any better promotion than that i.m.o. Especially considering the audience for this music. It's the first time since Twin Peaks that I've heard music reminding me of that type of sound again. Love the subtle and grand darkness.
Target had one copy for 9.99, that is the only one I've seen

If Roy Orbison And Chrissy Hynde got together and had a child you would have Nicole Atkins.
The most honest pop singer since K.D. Lang.
I suppose that its just the way it is.
Please come back to Shreveport, La.

Why would you not let people embed this all over the internet? Weird.
