You can't make all of the people happy all of the time. You can't make all of the people happy even most of the time. Democracy doesn't work that well, but it's a better alternative than a dictatorship.. because history has shown that no matter how good the intentions were of that particular leader, in the end, they always bent themselves morally and ethically in some way or another. With power comes opportunity and often times cash.. two things that can really ethically bend most people. Linds
you're QLP's are getting better and better- this one made me laugh a lot, and still had a lot of deep intellectual information and discussion going on. Keep up the great videos!
Hey Nate I've got some constructive criticism for you: As much as I like jump cuts, I think you've been overusing them lately. While they can add to the fast-paced, comedic style of your videos, I personally think jump cuts lose flavor when used too much. Well anyway, that's my two cents, have a great day.
nate, i noticed you insist a lot on electing people, and you don't seem to consider forums. here where i live, individuals are appointed and sworn into office. they end up favoring theyr own projects & those of a few others.
if instead, out of a hundred available people, a team of 25 is randomly selected each year to hold the authority, then those 25 can be more neutral, less prone to corruption, and evaluate and support projects in a fairer & horizontal way. no need for "appointed ones".

I'm not sure if you know this but apparently you can't be president (of the universe) with a whole brain.

I had absolutely forgotten it was that time of the week until I saw the video on facebook.
And I was just going to say that... you ARE famous... and that I'm still thinking up the ultimate question.

the struchtures of power in themselves must be transformed and be made more collective, less individual.
