  • @aerial100nx

Hidden Track on Wake Me. Reason why Shouting Out is over ten minutes long.

  • xenitic you just have no fucking idea

why do you think, takes it always so long before an lp cd is being released?

they repeat and rehearse it all over again the re-re-re-re do it, till its sounds like they wanted it to sound

chester does NOT use auto tune, man

and clearly you dont know much about him

be quiet and listen to the song

  • i love this video <3

    chester ur the best

  • chester is the best vocalist in the world :)

i love grey daze, i love xero, i love hybrid theory, i love linkin park, i love dead by sunrise!!!!!!

but grey daze is the best :):):)

  • agreeee

  • I like Grey Daze more than Linkin Park

  • chester is a much better singer now, because of time.. and practice, but the shit he had back then was so much better..

  • wow this is nice a morie sky acapella to bad i dont mix no more this would rock

  • it's not totally live, they used auto tune.

  • Auto-tune wasn't around back then. Fail.

  • yes u are right, i actually dont know why i have written that. Oo

  • lol :p

  • now u really got me lol. i actually just checked it in autotune, there is no pitch correction involved. :)

  • Yeah I mean..you can REALLY tell when someone uses auto-tune. It gets a real digital sounding effect.

  • no thats the t-pain/cher effect which usually only happens when the auto tune is set to 0-5.

For anything else than that you set it to 20-80 which doesnt produce this effect and for recordings u usually use manual pitch control anyway. Sometimes the sound engineer is asleep tho, like "in the end" at "i put my trust in yoooooouuuu" when chester sings youuuu you can clearly hear this digital sounding effect.

  • Linkin Park does not use auto-tune in their recordings. And even if they did..that part in the song you are referring to is a simple one note change. If it was auto-tuned it would have sounded like it was doctored up. I have never seen a band use auto-tune without it being noticeable. You can always tell and it's not in any of Linkin Park's songs. Just lots of recording takes til it is perfect.

  • you have absoloutly no idea dude lol..... no offense....

  • wow, this is ooold!

    Where did you get this?

(by the way, Grey Daze rocks! xD)

  • I really don't know... I found it along with other Grey Daze songs. I can find the site again if you want me to.

  • I would love to know the site, if it's not asking too much :P

  • its on the wake me album. hidden track after Shouting Out (after bout 3 min).

  • is this really chester?

  • Yeah

  • I thought Dowdell did the vocals for Grey Daze.

  • So you thougth wrong... xD Sean Dowdell was the drummer of Grey Daze

  • and he wrote the lyrics/music together with chester.

  • Also, Chester used to sing that good live back in the day, he hits those same notes without auto-tune so you know it's legit..and regardless..the reason it takes a band SO long to make a record is because recording takes some time too along with writing. They literally re-record over and over until it sounds perfect.

  • in a way. u cant compare grey daze to linkin park tho, since nu metal is hard to sing or hit the right pitch. also, while chester was doing this or even sang live back then he wasnt moving and jumping arround as much, so he was less exhausted.

  • Considering I am in a professional audio engineering career..I am pretty sure that I DO have an idea. Nu-metal also has nothing to do with the way you sing. Nu-metal was introduced when Anthrax and Public Enemy collaborated (Rapping style comined with metal). That's where the term came from. I don't appreciate you bashing musicians and I have my right to prove you wrong.

  • why dont u ask lp themself?

  • That's why I defended them in the first place. They were interviewed about it in the Meteora phase and they denied any use of it.

  • Seems to me that you admitted you were wrong...and like most people you hated the fact that you admitted it so you continue to argue. Chester Bennington is known as one of the best vocalists of this generation. I highly doubt he would have to resort to auto-tune. Britney Spears has admitted to using it..and you can TELL she uses it. If Chester said he used it..he would really have to convince me..I haven't heard one song that sounds in the least bit like auto-tune. Your example was very poor.

  • What is auto-tune anyway?

  • auto-tune is a device singers use when they sing off key and it fixes their voice. but you know if someone uses it when they perform live cause there's a hugh difference in their voice. and as far as i can tell, Chester never used an auto-tune device

  • I also noticed you are a "hardcore" LP fan...if that is so, how can you not even realize that Chester has an amazing voice? I have known these guys since they were called Hybrid Theory. I saw them play one show and I was stuck on them ever since. Saw them grow from Hybrid Theory to Linkin Park...and you are telling me that I have no idea. -_-

  • False, they were called Xero before Chester joined. Once Chester joined they changed their name to Hybrid Theory for a very short time until the label discovered that there was already a band called Hybrid Theory. To avoid legal issues, they changed their name to Linkin Park, after the location of the practice area on "Lincoln Park". They named their first album after the original band name. Get some defense before you try telling me "get it right". I've known this band for years.

  • For christ's sake, I even have their demo tape. It clearly says "Hybrid Theory" on it. No Linkin Park in sight.
