Oasis were/are HUGE in the UK BUT they're not as big in the rest of the world. They should've been absolutely huge in the States but something must've gone wrong along the way coz it didn't happen. I'm a big oasis fan and it's frustrating that many people have never heard of them or know very little apart from Wonderwall.

Hmm is it because bands like, P.I.L., Duran Duran, Billy Idol, U2, gary numan, bahaus, The Cure, New Order, devo, love + rockets, tears for fears, Depeche Mode, killing joke, were more alternative and well known than the shit bands they showed? Brittish indie WAS the alternative rock of the 80s. Get real VH1. You suck!
