I always liked the 1P ending, everyone's dead and you see the corpses of your rage romp.

The Grieving Widow and the unknown soldier's grave ends it all.

Rather effective IMO

According to Metal slug database, the girl grieving is praying for a UFO to resurect her dead brother. I know what your thinking, I didn't believe it, either... There weren't even any aliens in the first game!
