  • I got to take a nature walk to this in the CHILLY COLD......silky tune for sure

  • I didn't know this existed! I have a single by them on Imperial that sounds nothing like this. I wonder what their version of "Nights In White Satin" sounds like?

  • A Beautiful song... One for All mankind to consider.. It is time for All of us to come together.. In Good Consciousness,.. As One Voice and One Mind , of and for LOVE , to wipe away the darkness in this world

  • wowo now i see where they got the for your eyes only soundtrack from..right here

  • just lovely x

  • I lost contact with Jimmie when he started getting royalty checks from his song "It's only love", which was recorded by Barry White. But when the British group Simply Red covered it, it was a hit! Jimmie told me he was going to Hawaii and I haven't heard from him since. I hope he and Vella are well and still writing beautiful songs like this. I would love to hear some current music from them.

  • I met Jimmie in the early 90's through a friend who was working as a security guard in the Wilshire district of Los Angeles. I met his sister, Vella, shortly afterward. Jimmie said that he and his sister were still doing music together, but as you know, the music "business" is now run by weird, powerful men with money signs in their eyes. They put out music I equate to "fast food". It's fast and it's crap!

  • nice

  • Does anybody out there know anything about this duo???

  • Can someone confirm that this duo had a small performance part in Hendrix's Rainbow Bridge? I just happend upon this song browsing today, and when I saw the album cover, I knew I'd seen these two somewhere before!

  • Why's the DJ copy in mono?

  • @cybersalad Thats because when this was realeased it was sent to AM radio stations who did not broadcast in stereo

  • I love this album, it brings back so many childhood memories. I wonder if anyone has the other song from here called" Do you really know how i feel" I would really love to hear that song off of this album.

  • this is what youtube is for..being able to sample rare vinyl before shelling out..nice work.

  • Too Beautiful for Words.Thank you.

  • Anytime..

  • nice tune

  • beautiful....soul music

  • Fantastic Track beautiful.Would love to own this album real shame it has never been released on CD.

Thanks for putting this up you've got great taste in music

  • Thank you - I am glad you like it.

  • @thorshammer960

I owned this album many many many years ago, and I have no idea where it is now....it is really a nice album.......

  • I'm not so sure if all that is a dream, Vella!

  • That Berry Gordy Motown comment is way off. and i'm being polite. Motown--watered down black music? pure BS. If Temptations, Gladys Knight, Four Tops, Marvin, Stevie are watered down then take me to the water. Multinational corporates bought up every R&B label in sight in 70s because R&B made money then the old fashioned way--producing masterpieces every WEEK on the cheap that folk loved w/o hype. R&B got less creative once synths replaced bands ca. 1977. Get it straight.

  • Thats so real- the synth killed live instruments but not live voices and good music-Prince has Classics Mike has classics hell I like more of Smokey in the 80s as far as his singing goes his writing is legend from the begining but the synth changed alot

  • @blackrocknutt SO well Put....I'm tired of people that don't look at the whole scope of the pictures and make narrow ass comments.......MOTOWN,STAX,PHILLY SOUL,ETC= ALL GOOD!!!!!!

  • oh my gosh ..what happened to blacks in america. All due respect to todays artists but damn...starndards seem to have gone down. Nothing spiritual as this

  • Motown is what happened. Gordy watering down black music so that white audiences would love it made the big record labels step in. Now we are where we are now.

  • good point. Everything sounds so "Timbaland" these days. Polished, loud, mastered to death, no spirit, no soul.

  • No one goes to Church (where people learned to SING and PLAY music) AND music is NOT taught in schools in America ... this is a GENERAL problem ... most singers came out of Church or Formal Musical backgrounds ...

Music in general is not as good.
