This sword is called Muramasa as nickname is 妖刀(yo-u-to-u)Muramasa.

difficult to make the meaning of the character of "youtou" English.

Roughly, it is a meaning of magic sword.

you don't need to know japanese to read the writing. it is in traditional chinese (not offense). Muramasa Sengo was a genius katana maker. when he was a young pupil, his master cut off his right arm for doing something wrong (base on what i heard, he was using his right hand to measure the water tempture. it is crucial process to cool down the sword). many years later, he showed his sword to his old master. it is sharper, and full with hatred.

The sword is muramasa. according to legend, the sword is forged with hatra and vengence. and because of that, it was also called, "evil blade muramasa" it was believe the spirit of muramasa's spirit (the person who forged this sword) is within in, and because of that, people through out generations people believed that the sword has a mysterious power.
