to bad the refs are blind or they would of called him out of bounds sorry KU fans but marios shot was luck and he was out of bounds sorry but you guys werent the best team in that game
I'm not a Memphis fan, and I hoped Memphis would win since I have watched them in the years before that and I loved to see them play and they came up short every year. I really thought they would win this year with Rose. But, Kansas made a great run and it's Memphises own fault that they did not have the killer instinct to put them away. Chalmers Hit an amazing 3 heavily contested.
But it seemed like his night and kansas used the momentum in OT to put the Tigers away. Great job. Rock Chalk!
Hey Tin, you are right that was an unbelivable, and maybe improbable steal by Collins. This is the play that started the comeback. Then Collins hits the huge three. If he doesn't hit that three, we would have lost. But he did, and that's when all the momentum shifted to KU.

WTF? FUCKING COLLINS WITH FUCKING OUT OF BOUNDS!!! LOOK AT IT! :02 seconds!!! LOOOOK!!!
Jay Bilas' your great, I think your awesome. But he went out of bounds!! OMG!
To point out. I forget the player, but one Kansas player went out of bounds twice and walked in front of the Memphis bench. How gay and querr. If you don't think I'm right, then just look up some videos or watch the whole game again. Hightower ruined the whole fucking game. FUCK KANSAS! FUCK HIGHTOWER! FUCK ARTHUR!!!
It was said that the front part of Collins' foot was in bounds with the back part ABOVE the out of bounds area. And, the game was not called in either team's favor. Dorsey was not called for bumping into Alrich after a play, nor was he called for intentionally carrying the ball upcourt after a basket. Also, Douglas-Roberts was not called for slamming the ball on the floor after a play.
He didn't go out of bounds. Watching it in super-slow mo, frame-by-frame, I thought the same thing that you did. There is one frame where it appears 100 percent certain that he is on the baseline. But when you watch it at regular speed, you can tell that his heel is actually off the floor and he never steps out of bounds. Incredibly close, but he never went out.
The ref was standing right there, if he didn't see, and he was let's say "out of bounds" then there isn't much anyone can say. But even at that point Memphis still had quite a lead and few free throws made and they win. One call or miscall can never be an excuse for championship caliber teams.

Who had the #1 pick on the big stage? The 'tarted Jayhawk husker redneck hicks have to celebrate there victory probably playing some folk music out there in ole county Lawrence. Man, if Memphis won this thing. We would still be pumpin' up and crunkin' it down here in M-Town.
Not sure what crunkin' is, but I know what sour grapes are. The top pick in the draft? I prefer wins over the top TWO picks, plus five picks of our own, plus the tile you so desperately yearn for. I don't blame you for being bitter, pissing away a nine-point lead with two minutes to play. Gotta go now. Gonna slip in DVDs of my Jayhawks and Celtics winning championships. Freakin' Sweet!
PMIRISH...You are such a liar. Why don't you show your proof on youtube. That should be easy since you work for a tv station. You say your not a Memphis fan but that doesn't mean your not a tiger fan (MU sucks)....Rock Chalk!
KU lead or controlled the whole game until that final stretch by Memphis. KU made clutch plays when it counted and dominated overtime to prove they were the better team. 785

My final statement is this: I work at a tv station. We froze the video at 1:54 on the game clock and zoomed in on his left foot just like ESPN does. His heel touched OUT OF BOUNDS. No one is saying that KU didn't deserve to win. I had no rooting interest in the game at all. I'm just saying that Collins' GREAT play was in fact too good to be true. p.s. Ed Hightower was the ref. 'NUFF SAID
No i think winning is what happened, if you checked the scoreboard we had more points then the other team so, i know its a tough equation, but if you work it out 75 is MORE points then 68
Yes, frozen it appears certain that he is out of bounds. But watching it at full speed, one can tell that his heel is in the air, above the out of bounds marker. By the way, Hightower DOES suck, I agree with that part, but that has no relevance on Collins having stayed in bounds. Very, very close call, but he stayed in.
aaronlevine said it PERFECTLY! I watched that reply SEVERAL times on Hi-Def, and yes his heel DOES go over the line, but it never touches until the ball is released. And his toes are indeed in bounds. So the refs made a VERY smart no call.
If you do have access to a larger TV look at not if the heel is over the line, but if it is on the ground. It is not out of bounds if the player is on his toe with his heel in the air. To even be able to jump the way he did being on his toe was required. He was falling away, there is no way he could go from flat foot to his toe with that momentum. He would have had to jump of the heel which CLEARLY you must agree he jumps off his toe.
Furthermore, if you think you can make a decisive conclusion based on this vid. you are crazy. Watch it in High Def. on a 46 inch plus screen, where you can actually see it. Eat it CHUMP.
pause the video and look at his left foot genius. i'm not from memphis or for memphis. but i can clearly see his foot out of bounds with the ball in his hands. enjoy your gift of a championship.
Collins was a freaking monster in the 2nd half. He's so fast and low to the ground, there were at least 3 times he stumbled over himself in the game from outrunning the dribble. That steal was unbelievable, purely. And how that 3-pointer came when the Jayhawks were 1-10...mmph.
