  • @MrMRTmustang1 Every mammal on planet earth knows this. Unfortunately many of the mammals that leave comments don't take the time to read and comprehend the title of this video. Such mammals often times fail to see such notices as "Comments may be held for uploader approval" and end up posting the same comment more than once.

  • Ive seen faster,my old neighbor used to have one with 2 battery packs, idk what kind of motor or setup he had in it but it ran on 2 battery packs and clocked at 113 mph once

  • @DJALIENPHANTOM What car? An unmodified RC10 buggy? I seriously doubt it.

  • @EyeSquaredAre no it wasint a buggy it was a car,he had those spongelike tires on it and some sort of amp thingy, i dont know much about rc cars as i used to back in the days but yeah it was fast and cloked at 113 mph

  • @DJALIENPHANTOM Heavily modded road cars are doing 150+ these days and purpose built top speed cars like the ones Nic Case builds are in closing in on 200. Last time I checked his best speed was 177. The only thing I have that goes that fast is a motorcycle.

  • @EyeSquaredAre im just saying cause i saw it for myself and so did half the neighborhood, that has been the fastest rc car ive seen in person, i had 3 different ones myself,an electric hpi, that one really fast cheap viper they ued to sell at radioshack that ran like 35 to 40 mph and 3 nitros running on 50% nitro clocking from 52 to 85 mph and yet his electric rc car beat them all, but as we all know with the right modifications anyone can make anything go really fast.

  • @DJALIENPHANTOM So were these runs made on neighborhood streets? That seems a litttle crazy.

  • @EyeSquaredAre yeah but there was always cars parked on the side of the street so we moved them to an empty mall parking in puerto rico, there were tournaments there back in the day for gokarts, minibikes and rc cars.

  • Cool! That thing is ridiculously fast! LOL!

  • Now all you need is a ramp...

  • That Looks Like A Airplane/Heli ESC And Motor In It ,For Speed Runs Its Ok But not every day raacing

  • @turbotrix19 I can assure you this is a car / truck ESC, it has brakes and reverse, aircraft ESCs generally don't. Besides, why would I want to use a heli or plane ESC for speed runs with a car? The ESC may look a little odd because it's pretty old. It's current rating is 99 amps, nothing special. The motor can is a standard RS540 size, both the ESC and motor are for 1/10th scale models and are quite suitable for everyday racing.

  • @EyeSquaredAre Some ESCs for aircraft tend to be lighter, same amps or more too. Also should be about the same size or slightly smallerr too. Not to argue but to help. Good luck with those speeds though.

  • @turbotrix19 well, it isnt. look at the description.

  • I have quite a lot of experience with high speed radio control actually. I have a tip to help add a few more MPHs. The rear tires have no reason that they need to be that wide. They are giving you a lot of rolling resistance. Cut them down to maybe half the width and you will lose a lot of rolling friction in frontal areao. I don't think with a gearing like that you will have much trouble with wheel spin, and if you do, a steady finger will do the trick. also, try shrink wrapping for areodynamic

  • @stuffurbelly Rolling resistance is probably the least of my problems. This car is so overpowered it either wheelies or lights the rear tires if you advance the throttle too quickly. Advance the throttle too slowly and you're out of radio range well before the car gets anywhere near top speed. The improved aero of narrower rear tires would be nice but I'm not willing to give up any traction.

  • Sweet! Not bad speed at all!

Love the wheels on it! Epic RC10..

  • damn it seemed like it was going a lot faster than that. looked like creeping on 100. But guess the GPS doesn't lie.

  • @arlo12345678910 With an unobstructed sky, GPS is one of the best ways to measure speed in my opinion. The only drawback to GPS, other than needing a place to mount it, is that you need to hold top speed for a second or two to register your true max speed. It's hard to say how much error there was in this speed run but I'd guess it wasn't much, maybe 1 mph or 2 at the most. Whenever I get around to trying more speed runs I think I'll use radar too and see how they compare.

  • it would hurt stubbing your toe with that as it's moving. yeah...

  • I want that! Where and how much?

  • @Labeilofest There's not an exact answer to this. The car kit is purchased separately from the motor, battery, radio, speed control, etc. Places like Tower Hobbies and A-Main Hobbies carry these items. Cost would be somewhere around $600+ if you're just getting into the hobby.

  • thumbs up if you missed it because you blinked

  • that thing broke mach 5

  • That is amazing! Nice work.

  • mine only goes like 72 i think

  • Should put some weight on the front and then try it with that 4S

  • @WishinToBeMau5 The 4S weighs a bit more so I may not need it, the bigger issue is finding a new top speed test site.

  • KICK!

  • DAM! That thing trucks! I like the setup, Im sure you have to ease that thing with the throttle! It looked like it wanted to backflip those few times when you were driving away!

  • @kjacks540 At 30-40 MPH it would flip over almost instantly if I pegged the throttle. I had to slowly advance the throttle and wait until the car reached about 70 before I could use full power. That was with a 3S battery. I later tried it with a 4S battery and the car was so overpowered it was basically uncontrollable.

  • Still need to source a GPS unit for my XXX buggy. I'm going to see what she does with all stock tires/bodywork and an old battery first...probably isn't hitting 50 now. Fresh battery will take me near 60 I'm sure. Tire mods, and I may be pushing closer to 70 as these tires aren't balanced in the least and are doing some serious ballooning at the speeds I'm currently hitting.

  • @rotaryturbo07 You should have seen what the knobby tires on my RC8 did at 85+ MPH. They almost looked like disks.

  • holy sh*** that car is amzingly fast. great job!

  • what does the o rings on the front wheels do for speed/handling?

  • @jwrx7tt01 All of the front tires I had would vibrate and balloon at these speeds. I didn't have foams for the front so I came up with this O-ring idea. Handling is actually quite poor unless all you want to do is go straight.

  • @EyeSquaredAre i see

  • Very impressive!

  • thats ............FAST

  • traxxas xo-1 100mph out of the box haha

  • @MrOne2345678 The ha ha is on you. The XO-1 is not a buggy, do you understand the difference? Road cars like the TC3, TC4 and TC5 have been doing over 100 MPH for years with minimal or no mods. Next time get a clue before you post a comment.

  • @MrOne2345678

its actually not 100mph out of the box.

its 100mph if u have an ipod touch or iphone

  • ill post that faster video. i wanna race u with my rc10

  • @masonis1 Bring it.

  • @EyeSquaredAre any rules?

  • @masonis1 I suppose any stock RC10 with a 540 size motor and battery that fits in the battery tray would qualify. Wheels/tires, gearing, spring rates, ride height collars, shock oil, diff settings and all those kinds of things can be adjusted to suit your needs. Nose weights and wheelie bars are probably minor cheats. Gyro stabilizers, aero mods and 1/8th scale motors would be major cheats. Speed measurement needs to be reliable, GPS with a clear view of the sky or sports radar.

  • @EyeSquaredAre ok, i have a 3650 brushless motor, which is 540 can, i have a smaller lipo, i dont have weights or wheelie bars, hell im not even running a body, i have no idea what a gyro is so that isnt being used. i have a video up on my channel now, look at it, i put it up today, its a short video of my rc10. im going to try and find time soon when its not raining to go to a big parking lot and get some speed running videos. then ill gps once i find one.

  • @masonis1 Nice car, probably not a stock RC10 but I don't think the mods you've made give you a top speed advantage so I think it's game on! :)

  • @EyeSquaredAre i just found this in my old house in the basement, this and another goldpan. i just put a brushless system in after rebuilding it. the diffs arent locked. just tightened up a lot. what mods did you see on it?

  • @masonis1 I assumed the carbon fiber chassis and the widening kit were aftermarket add-ons, but they shouldn't give you a top speed advantage so I see no reason to make a stink about it. GPS that thing and show us what it'll do.

  • @EyeSquaredAre the carbon fiber chassis is stock i think but the widening kit is just longer a arms. look at the newest video i just put on today, it has some updates on it. let me know if its still legal. are you going to make a updated video of this too or am i just going off of this video? i would like to see a new one.

  • @masonis1 Looks legal to me, run that pup. I've moved since I made the 86.8 MPH "top speed" video and I've not found a good place to try more top speed testing. There's a short stretch of road with minimal traffic on it near my house but there's not enough room to accelerate to more than maybe 50 or 60 MPH and slow back down before hitting a sharp turn. When you post your top speed video I'll see if I can match it, but I might not be able to until I find a better place to run.

  • @EyeSquaredAre well hey, i cant do the run. i went testing today and the magnet in the brushless motor cracked and locked the can up. lucky its under warranty so give me about 3 weeks. also, how do you keep your nose down and how do you prevent yours from spinning out when you take off/

  • @masonis1 Sorry to hear about the bad luck with your motor. The key to keeping the car from lifting the front end or spinning out is gradual acceleration. On the other hand if you accelerate too gradually you'll run out of road or radio range before you reach top speed. It can be a bit tricky.

  • Imagine it hits your toes O.o

  • @Qualitaetsprodukkt done that at 40mph to the shins

  • Jump!!!

  • Enough said

  • i wont that

    its sick its fast

  • In the years this has been on here you haven't even tried to get even 1 more MPH??

  • @nic8850 In the years since I made this video my wife had twins, we've moved and I've started a new job. What little free time I have for RC fun has to be shared amongst planes, helicopters and other cars. I've not found a decent road to even try another top speed run so it might be a while before I break the 87 MPH barrier. If someone posts a faster RC10 video I'd probably be more motivated to try it sooner than later...

  • fastest or not that is sick!!! nice job!

  • Holy shiz

  • Sweet car..... What foam tires are you using I cant seem to find any for my b4.1 (RC10)

  • @exoticlotus The rears are Jaco 2016 foam truck tires, Tower Hobbies stock number LXCME3. The video description lists all the major components used on the car.

  • Nice. Now let's see you get an RG10GT screaming.

  • DAAAAAAAAMN !

  • @TheLionRichard Dude that is so weak. An $1100 1/7th scale ROAD car with a claimed top speed of 100 MPH. Yippee. 1/10th scale TC3s and TC4s have been hitting 130+ mph for years. This video is about off-road buggies, specifically RC10s. In 5 minutes I can change tires and be clearing triples with my car. Can the XO-1 do that?

  • holy shit thats awesome

  • how fast does it go

  • @yo90bosses It's top secret, but if you watch the video really closely there's a very subtle hint at the end... :)

  • @yo90bosses 86mph you dumbass. he says it in the video AND shows a picture of the gps speed....

  • 0:22 ohhhh shiiiit

  • may not be fastest, but goes faster than my thunder tiger!!!

  • @rcdestroyer100 There are faster RC cars but so far no unmodified RC10 has gone faster than mine.

  • one word lol DAM! haha

  • awesome !

  • Omg!... Watch your knees!!

  • Nitro 8 cc engine is faster ;)

  • @woutertje026 Clearly anything that's running an 8 cc nitro engine isn't an RC10 so your comment is irrelevant. Is the "nitro 8 cc" you refer to even a remote controlled off-road buggy? You'd better hope so.

  • @woutertje026 You're an idiot.

  • MEEP...MEEP....VVVRRROOOOOOMMMMM!!!!

  • Nice Buggy

  • when this baby hits 88mph, you're gunna see some serious shit

  • PUT A GoPro camera on it!!!!1

  • what size Moter.

  • @MrJessgo33 The can is 36mm dia. x 48mm long, basically the standard RS-540 size used for 1/10th scale.

  • that is not the fastest one yet, trust me, i seen one that went 399+ mph.

  • @TheGodsOfGaming2000 That's probably the one Superman used to reverse the rotation of the earth.

  • @TheGodsOfGaming2000 STFU, the record isn't even 200mph yet.

  • @TheGodsOfGaming2000 LOL SURE 399 MPH LOL

  • @TheGodsOfGaming2000 Most likely KPH not mph....

  • @yfzrider13 Actually not even 400 KPH, that'd be 248 MPH!

  • @TheGodsOfGaming2000 Forgot a decimal. 39.90mph.

  • @TheGodsOfGaming2000 did you say 399+mph im sorry i cant trust you.

  • For R/C wild light show check my channel

  • @MrRobRossi Nice... Those lights would work well on my RC heli. :)

  • @EyeSquaredAre Nice videos! Keep them coming. We actually got them off a mini heli

  • @EyeSquaredAre Yes my bro got them from his heli. Great vids BTW, keep up the good work.

  • SiiiKKK

  • WTF!!! really damn high speed RC!

  • wow. the asphalt burns :-)

  • I have one of the original first gen rc10's from the 80's the orange looking one thy call it gold but any ways I know 4 a fact it go's slower than this and it handles like crap on the street but it's dope in dirt r the new ones the same?

  • @nic8850 The upgrade from a 1st gen to a B2 was huge, it's really a different car. B2 to B3 was a minor upgrade in my mind with many parts interchangeable. I can't comment on the B4 since I've not seen one up close. My car is mainly a B3 with a few B2 parts on it.

  • Dear Santa, for this Chrismas ....

  • would like some info on how to make a 10scale tc4 do speed runs

  • @HealingDMax300 I wouldn't be of much help, it's a totally different beast from the RC10.

  • @HealingDMax300 Brushless motor, 2 - 3 cell lipo its easy.

  • the one on toy story was quicker

  • mine goes 60 but it is also alot bigger and heavier

  • It is fast... but can It play minecraft?

  • @bpr97050 Not yet...

  • damm that is fast as hell

  • prolly be 88-89 with the gps on it

  • @kmyers18 I'm assuming you mean without the GPS on it?

  • @EyeSquaredAre yeah without...lol sorry.

  • @EyeSquaredAre is that a lipo 7.4 battery?

  • @morose0bike123 LiPo 11.1V (3S)

  • how do u get it to stay so straight?

  • is that a bandit?

  • @legosmith97 Between the title of the video and the descriptive information, I've given some pretty good hints as to which car this is. Keep guessing...

  • Dammm

  • holy crap that rc went fast how did you do that?

  • wow ! that was fast !!!

  • I guess you get a lot of stupid commenters so it's hard to weed out the real ones :)'

  • @nic8850 Yeah it's been a bad week, if this keeps up I'm just going to start deleting the dumb comments and not bother replying.

  • That is pretty good, but rustlers do 100+ all the time. Your car actually looks exactly like one. So don't go calling your car the fastest buggy in the world because there are many that do another 10-15+ mph

  • @aForkandaSpoon Stop saying I'm calling my car the fastest buggy in the world, because I'm not. I'm calling it the fastest RC10 buggy, which is much more specific. I'm aware of 100+ MPH Rustlers, I've even mentioned it a few times in other comments on this video.

  • @EyeSquaredAre Sorry, but you can't just say you have the fastest RC10 ever. The only time you can include fastest in your statement is when you officially beat the 161.1 mph record. You have absolutely no proof that this is the fastest RC10, you just need to adapt fastest to super fast because you are making a completely untruthful and opinionated statement.

  • @aForkandaSpoon I can't believe my eyes, did you really just type that??? Why exactly can't I claim to have the fastest RC10, because a non-RC10 is faster? That's probably the most idiotic thing I've ever read. Until someone posts a video showing a faster RC10, I'll rightfully continue to claim (as I have for the past 2 years) that I have the fastest RC10. Show me a faster RC10 buggy or step off. Your reply better have some intelligent content or it'll have no chance of being seen here...

  • @EyeSquaredAre I'm not saying you don't have the fastest RC10 because there are other faster buggies. I'm saying you can't because it seems pointless. That's like me saying I have the best computer with a Apollo case, one graphics card, and a 790FX-GD70. And although I have never seen someone with a better computer than mine, I am sure it isn't the best one. When someone sees fastest and RC in the same sentence they expect a 161.1 mph car

  • @aForkandaSpoon Your computer analogy is flawed. There are very few competition off-road buggies that have gone 85+ MPH in stock form. All I did to my car was change the gearing and tires. Most, if not all, of the buggy-like cars that are going faster are heavily modified with oversized motors, stabilization gyros and misc. other things. I feel my RC10's 87 MPH run is noteworthy and even if it's pointless to call it the fastest RC10, it doesn't mean I can't do it.

  • @aForkandaSpoon Hahaha... you are dumb. LMAO!

  • @EyeSquaredAre rustler is a truggy, the bandit is a buggy, the rc10 is the 1st car team associated bought out nearly 35yrs ago, the dont actually make rc10's anymore. bot they still use the name.

  • @DINOSRAGERC I wasn't sure exactly what category the Rustler belongs in, it's off-road capable but seems to be marketed for its on-road speed. It's not a true competition level off-road buggy kike the RC10, that much I knew. So what's the story behind Associated? As far as I know Associated Electric made the original RC10 starting in the 80's and Team Associated continues to make updated versions of the RC10 today. Did Associated buy the RC10 design from someone else?

  • not quite the fastest there is an rc car that does 120 i believe and a tether car that does 200

  • @hemicudaboy1 Not quite the fastest ____ What? Read the title of the video and fill in the blank. The fastest RC car is Nic Case's car with a Guinness record of 161 MPH and an unofficial run of 177. Tether cars routinely do 200+ but aren't RC.

  • @EyeSquaredAre stop saying 161 is the fastest i was at this in real life so i know its true search 200+ rc car that is the fasters

  • @camman641 RC car. RC is an acronym for Remote Control or Radio Control. Thanks to you and the other genius who thinks 200 MPH tether cars are RC cars, we might as wall call this a Retard Convention. 161 MPH is the official Guinness record for a REMOTE CONTROLLED model car. I just looked it up on their site.

  • @EyeSquaredAre listen im not saying its not fast rc means radio controlled but i cant believe your gonna post worlds fastest rc 10 when all you have to do is change gearing maybe a bigger motor its not gonna be long before someone beats this record always happens when you try to be the top dog ! btw yours is very fast but im just sayin that someone will beat this record maybe you could have posted real fast rc car or something like that just sayin

  • @hemicudaboy1 I've been hearing this since 2008 when I originally posted this video, and am still waiting for someone to beat me. It's a lot harder to make an RC10 do 85+ MPH than people realize.

  • what happens if that hits a pedestrian? :O

  • @exposedpork Exposed bones. :) I'm not exactly sure how bad it would be and I hope to never find out.

  • @EyeSquaredAre either way thats a fast sumb bitch .

  • can we buy one?

  • @death949494 Mine is not for sale but you can buy cars like this from hobby stores or online places like Tower Hobbies or A-Main Hobbies.

  • @EyeSquaredAre im sorry but im new with these, do you have an idea of what model this is?

  • @death949494 The model (Associated RC10B3) and all other info about the car is in the video description. You probably can't buy a new B3 anymore so you'd have to get one of the later versions like a B4 or B4.1.

  • @EyeSquaredAre thanks:) does every single one go to 80 mph?

  • @death949494 I doubt the "Ready To Run" (RTR) version of the RC10B4.1 goes anywhere near 80 MPH straight out of the box. It's designed for off-road racing with bumps and jumps. You'd need to radically change the gearing and probably upgrade the motor and maybe the ESC for speeds that high. If straight out of the box speed is what you want you might consider something like a Traxxas Rustler VXL. I think it's good for 70+ in stock form and 100+ with modifications.

  • @EyeSquaredAre oh thanks:DDD

  • @death949494 if your new to the rc hobby probably not a good idea to good straight to extremely fast. takes a lot of money and time getting to the peck speed your aiming for. Maybe not something for beginning with. But that's just me.

  • @Blakie989 well im great will heli and the drifting rcs so ill give it a try first:D

  • @death949494 hahahaha same got a Blade mcpx and tamyia tt-01 and hyper 7 and now a losi 8ight mini :)

  • I don't really care how fast it actually goes as that little car blast by with that sound wave. It's awesome. Is that an aircraft esc?

  • @emacemacii It’s a regular car ESC but the combination of the motor and transmission noise with the noise from the hard front wheels makes for a jet like sound effect.

  • I never meant any disrespect.. I totally understand how hard it is to control a very fast 2 wheel R/c car and yours went exceptionally strait Ie (good driver and set up) but there is always room for more if the funds are there and I know you would like to see a little more too right

  • what front tire?

  • @tintsnmore Rubber O-ring.

  • I don't care what anyone may say I know you can go faster and that is all I have been trying say

  • @nic8850 We know that's what you've been saying, whether or not you've been convincing is another matter. If I can find a suitable road I'm going to shoot for 100 MPH with a 4 cell battery. If I'm successful I'll post it here and be happy to have you rub my nose in it. If I fail then what? You'll just assume I don't know how to set up and drive an RC car? If you had the opportunity to drive my car you might have a different view on things.

  • My Grandma is faster.

  • @0oHURRICANEo0 OK let's race.

  • That is absurdly fast. Well done, sir. However, what has me in greater awe than the very impressive speed you've achieved with that car is the aplomb, dignity, and solidly grounded-in-fact responses you've managed to bestow on the commenters. Youtube attracts such a wondrous variety of commenters, from the sage to the inane, through to the apparently psychotic, and you've taken them all in your stride admirably. Hats off to you, sir.

  • @htc007898 Thank you.

  • Nic's car went 177 and I bet there isn't any stock parts on it the 2 largest factors in going fast are aerodynamics and wight all I have been saying is that you could go faster

  • @nic8850 I don't see the relevance of Nic's car not having stock parts, it's a scratch built car specifically made to set RC land speed records. As for my RC10, aero is terrible with or without the body and weight isn't always a bad thing.

  • There are vids of a rc8 doing 100 on here and that is almost the same car as yours all I have been saying is that you could go faster... Try losing some wight and put a body on so it is more arodanmic

  • @nic8850 Yeah, I have an RC8 and it's a totally different car than the RC10. The RC8 is 4WD and weighs twice what the RC10 weighs. The RC8 is much more stable at high speeds, even with huge knobby tires.

  • Now you say it can go faster but u don't understand my logic??? I said it's about what is on the car not who makes it and I said that you should be able to go faster and u don't under stand me???

  • @nic8850 No, I only said the car had the horsepower to go faster. If you know so much about RC cars you should realize it isn't all about power, it takes traction and stability to reach speeds like this. Do you think I could beat Nic Case's 161 MPH record by simply bolting on a huge motor to my car? Maybe he was driving a Losi. ;-) The basic design of the car counts too, it's not just about components. By the way how fast should a competition off-road buggy be able to go?
