  • Thank you for sharing, Im happy to see americans have the courage to visit the Philippines. I hope you have a nice vacation there!!

  • Hahaha!

Magellan came in 1521 in the Philippines.. Cocky Magellan was killed in the Philippines in the battle Mactan killed by Datu Lapu Lapu!

  • if an american or a filipino/american comes to P.I the rich thinks you are leveling with them, well i experience this in Hawaii, cause them fuckers there are most asians bitches. i am a filipino/american but i have no intention of living there or visit that place.

  • @ahool69 wow! you feel just like most african/american feel about africa.

  • @MrBigawesome1 brother, i have my big means, you just have not a single idea

  • @ahool69 I feel sorry for you.....

  • i have traveled all over the southeast asia and pretty much they are all the same as to what i have experience, the houses, malls, foods, people, etc. meaning to say it is not as we here in the U.S have or what we expect from the ads these countries are saying. yes here we have homeless but not as worse compare to these places, these countries don't want to deal with the poor, you're poor you're poor to them. in these countries also they are prejudice specially the rich.

  • Awww... I guess this trip didn't turn out so well. From the vids I've seen on Youtube, it seems like Philippines is a mix bag of scary and beautiful. Sounds like someplace I'd like to visit someday.

  • i love the honest comments! :) just bad luck try again some other time

  • Oh how I miss my Country!!! tired living in The USA id do anything to go back home atlease forwhile. Cebu is my town I'm jelous.:)

  • for me population and corruption are the major concern hear. Anyway if only the government would provide enough jobs for filipinos then those poor people would not make more babies but rather become busy on their job instead. so popoulation control will follow. Also the government should distribute the jobs in all corners of the philippines, not just concentrate in mega manila, so that those people who came from the provinces who seeks jobs in manila and nearby provinces will not go their anymor

  • @clagao true self sufficiency followed by correcting our attitudes which is tough since you cant teach an old dog too many new tricks. Jobs are hard to come by in the countryside since our resources and exports are all almost privatised. The government should create more sectors for farming, irrigation, development etc. but they dont. instead they spend the peoples taxes getting rich and fat off the coffers

  • @rugar458, many of you keep saying not the population but the corruption ... that's bullshit! You only have to look at Filipino with 12 kids who cannot afford to put their children at school. Ignorance is part of the problem and stupid belief towards catholic teaching that can never give them right moral support.

Corruption? Who's fault? Who vote to those greedy politician? Filipinos of course!

  • the best time of going to the philipines is summer good for beach time and no storms

  • This white clown feels like a king by some low class bow down people. Can't get that treatment from your own country Loser aka nearly extincted.

  • STUPID FAGGOT EAR RINGS

  • ive been in Manila.... it is great too..

  • WOW I do not know that the Philippines is that poor it's probably on some location thought perhaps MANILA IS A CAPITAL OF THE PHILIPPINES the government should keep that city clean so that they can attract more foreigner to visit their country I am sure not all the Philippines like that And I hope for all the best for the Philippines people around the world Peace .

  • @Jeffs0418 were a 3rd world country, we used to be one of the most economically prosperous countries in Southeast Asia before and on Marcos' reign as president but things quickly went downhill from there with all the poverty, crime, corruption, pollution, etc. Its not just the mentality of our people but the environment as well and population spiralling out of control up or past 80 million in a small space. Manila is getting 'cleaner' but Davao or Bicol is still unspoilt almost.

  • sorry you guys didn't enjoy bohol as much, though. we were there in 2007, too, and we had a great time diving. bohol has some great diving spots. you're right about the room at lost horizon though. :-/ but we didn't care so much bec we were out most of the time. we were lucky to have great weather that time. the poverty that you saw - in a way, it's good that you guys saw that. because we always say, you've never really been to the Philippines unless you've seen the poor parts.

  • hey, that's where my husband and i stayed the second time we went to bohol - the lost horizon. nice owners - american and filipina couple. good job on documenting your trip.

  • @filipinohater I BET YOU HAVE BEEN BULLIED BY THE FILIPINOS. I FEEL BAD FOR YOU HIDING LIKE A LIL SISI, and release ur anger toward the filipino through internet......

this only prove that youre the most fucking lil pussy assfag in the world

  • @filipinohater i beg to disagree....i believe u have never been to the island paradise called Philippines...i think u have never traveled in ur entire life...not even in ur own country...hav a great day...

  • nice effort....lol.....

  • hey man! thanks for visiting my country.. i hope that everyone was hospitable and you had a super great time!

  • Population control is handled by the retarded vision of the catholic church

  • its so bumpy! ur poor head.

  • bat kasi hindi mag gawa ng mga public toilets para may mga cleaning jobs yung mga resedente diyan.

  • @lovencare62 korak!

  • But the issue is multi-faceted (as you correctly implied), and values formation plays a key part as well. I myself have had to undergo several reality checks in the course of my development work. I mean, it's easy to talk about (and live) pro-Life values but what does one say to a desperately poor person who laments, "I wish I had never been born"? And that's where one's Faith comes in :)

  • enjoyed the vid mate, i was in the phill for 8 months last year i love the place and soon will live there,,,,,,

  • i was going to do the same thing when i went to the philippines, but i accidently dropped my camera in the swimming pool

  • hey i like u can i chatting me plz

  • bat parang ang dry ng experience nya =(

  • sorry about that bad english there night time. i'm actually miss typing everything and retyping wat is already been mentioned. i was in a rush to bed .but you know what i mean. its hard for those people to change things they have already geting used to doing, specially if no 1 is stoping them.and this people raise their kids the same way they r raise by thier parents.specially those people who lives in visayas very poor area where there r no toilets rubish bins nothing no poor education

  • TY guy proud to welcome u philippines any time Wth Huge R E S P E C T .I know exactly wat your saying but some of us filipinos were raise by our parents who has adapt the behavior of throwing things anywhere blah blah.and its hard for us to change that specially for them to change specially when they r well educated cause of poverty malfunction...mostly people from rural visayas

  • a real tourist! thanks for exploring to my place though... you ride tricycle and u were not scared.

  • omg trysikel huh hehehehe

  • your riding a tricycle

  • I know what you`re saying. If only the Filipinos follow the rules when it comes to not throwing garbage in the rivers and streets.

  • Part one is cool, going to watch part 2 now. The Philippines would be a rich nation, perfectly capable of sustaining it's population if it were not for the large amount of corruption. Population control is not the what is hurting the Philippines. Less for self, more for others, enough for all, if only everyone were on board.

  • "The Philippines would be a rich nation... if it were not for the large amount of corruption. Population control is not the what is hurting the Philippines. Less for self, more for others, enough for all"

Agree A THOUSAND PERCENT with your comment!

  • @NicoleTirona There is corruption just about everywhere and it certainly plays a part in impoverishing the Philippines. However, lack of population control, ( which is what I think you meant) in my opinion is to blame as well. The countries infrastructure does not allow for the growth that many would presume to help. I've read that they are a net importer of rice. Corruption and lack of birth control will make it harder to support to sustain a growing population.

  • @halopa246: @Halopa246: I was agreeing with rugar458's statement that "Population control is not the what is hurting the Philippines. Less for self, more for others, enough for all, if only everyone were on board." :) Being a pro-Life advocate, I can't categorically just agree with the idea that population control will solve the country's problems, period...

  • @NicoleTirona : Hi Nicole, Yes I understand what you mean. In other words share the wealth and resources right? But you can only take that so far, whether on a country or global scale because wealth and resources are finite. And I respect your pro-life stance however, uncontrollable population growth in a world of dwindling resources has to be addressed. What about family planning and natural birth control? Starvation like what you see in Africa is the alternative.

  • @halopa246 : Hmmm... That's odd... How come I don't see my postings in reply to Comments?? :(

  • @NicoleTirona but still many other countries are corrupt but still have a pretty strong going economy. and besides, some people's mentality have to be changed there...i just feel bad since many of our ppol have bin put through so much crap that they cant trust ther leaders and such from then on....and besides, it's like...foreigners only talk about BORACAY. there are many cooler places than that, it's so over commercialized XD but it is still beeyotifool ;)

  • @TheEirica : See? Replied to this too but I don't see my answer :(

  • @NicoleTirona : That's happened to me before Nicole. It can be frustrating too. You may just have to retype your response. I'll be looking forward to it but, for now I must sleep. Ingat

  • @NicoleTirona : I wanted to also point out that governments of impoverished countries, and by extension their peoples, are held hostage by the World Bank, IMF, and other wealthy countries as they are caught in continuing cycle of debt repayment. These monies could be used to pay for economic development and infrastructure improvements that would in theory, benefit more people if these monies were not siphoned off by systemic corruption and poor planning. Yeah, it's a multi-faceted problem.......

  • which would also require a multi-faceted approaches to a solution. In my mind, many corporations are synonymous with corruption. If all the resources are funneled through the corporations and banks to feed their insatiable hunger for wealth and power, not much is left for the common man who toils day by day to feed his family but instead is often left with meager scraps are nothing at all. I believe the root cause for collapse of many civilizations over the ages is greed.

  • Yes yes yes absolutely right! tanginang gobyerno halos walang pakiaalam sa mga mamamayan ng bansa...son's of bitches!

  • I had a lot 1420M in Cadiz but just left there.Cause I am afraid the way to go there, the big car are crazy on the road.Easy to have accident.

  • With the Catholic Church mandating that every Filipino populate every square feet of space in the country, natural resources have long died out. The population now stands at almost 95 million people and with the church doubling its efforts, the population is expected to DOUBLE in less than 20 years. Hence the dire poverty. Philippines will be like Haiti where the Catholic Church is also very powerful. hmmmm Catholicism = Poverty = Stupidy. Welcome to the Philippines.

  • yamaha motorcycle..pangmatagalan ;) ehehehe

  • God...ang tagal ko na hindi nakauwe sa Cebu...sadly dpa ako nakaikot sa aking lupang sinilangan...

  • repeat after me, 'boRA-cay'

most tourists say it like you do, bore-a-kye'

    = )

  • how was your whole experience? i would like to know.

    :o)

  • he went in a wrong place.. seems like he didnt had fun.. go to boracay... next time..

  • you should've gone to shangri-la cebu

  • u seem really down..so did u enjoy or not

  • Cool vid

  • there are still some dirty streets around, street children, and undeveloped road and transport system in cebu! their government should do something about this shit! the nature though is the best...

  • Well, they don't really care because they don't really see how bad the live, compared to the rest of the world. I never knew how poor the Philippines was until I got to America and saw what we've been missing.

  • what he he. I recommend you go somewhere else to understand better. Out of 200 nations, I could say that Philippines rank at 30 as one of the best place to be. Your comment "compared to the rest of the world" is a plain stupidity. You must be thankful because in your country there is no ethnic cleansing, genocide, mass massacre, 30 counts of rape daily, refugees, child drinking from cow urine to survive, walk 20 kilometers daily with an empty stomach just to get nominal food ration.

  • dude you sound so fackinh HIGH man lol kool vid

  • cool i miss the philippines

  • thanks for posting!! i miss the phils. emil of az
