DAMN YOU MUMMY!!! first you take ET in hollywood, and oyu've claimed the venerable King kong now............ the mummy ride goes to fast, so all the stuff in there's a waste. I'd rather go and ride ET or see THIS than the fuckin mummy ride.
This was so scary to me when I was six. I wished I payed just more attention to the queue lines though, I mean everything was SO DETAILED in Universal. They put good money in their sets and rides.
It's really sad that 95% of the rides/attactions that opened with Universal in 1990 are now gone. Only Jaws and E.T. remain. Most of them have been shut down this decade.
The first time I rode this ride back in 1992 it ran into a temporary problem that froze the animatronics and effectsj, so our "tram driver" had to give us a tour, pointing out a rocking chair that rocked by itself because a ghost, so it was explained. Does anyone know more about that tidbit of the ride?
No the ride is really haunted by an employee who died during construction, Apparently they refused to send round an empty cart because he would appear
the mummy ride blows kingfrontation outa the water. dont get me wrong, i used to love kongfrontation. but the mummy ride is insane. u have to actually ride it to judge it
Really? I thought the Mummy was really disappointing... Not great effects, coupled with a mediocre rollercoaster... Even Brendan Fraser looked bored of it. Although it did have one good drop...
I agree I was there this weekend and the first part of the roller coaster is average at best but the part after the fake ride stop when the mummy comes out of the trainstation window and says " i will take your soul" is very short and very weak!! I am a fan of universal because I think disney robs most of its "guests" but they could have done more. Not all is lost the new Rockin Hollywood coaster that goes from one end of the park to the other is awesome and Harry Potter at IOA will be great!!

Thats just how Brendan Fraser is. I must say I actually love the mummy ride. I've ridden it around 200 times or so.

while this adds more to the experience than the one in Hollywood, this Kong looks so fake. The one in Hollywood looks better(Kong, not the ride).
